Hi all

OH is at the dentist this morning, another marathon visit, which hopefully will result in some crowns being put on his teeth ........ or maybe not.

He had another appintment at 1:00 pm

soooooooooooooooooooooooooo

a little while ago I got a phone call

"Hi, this is Gill at Dr Z's office. Would you please call N and ask if the appointment can be pushed back to 2:00pm. Here's the phone number as close as I could make out through the hands in your OH's mouth"

What new identity? Stalker?

Wot you all on about??

Flip

Flip Report 18 Jan 2011 20:49

Sorry Dea

I've deleted my post, I had stalker problems a few months ago, but I don't think you were involved at the time. Had to change my user name etc to stop the messages, then deleted the help thread I'd posted when trying to find out what to do.

Just created a new ID (saves money, even with the "loyalty discount") and wanted to make sure that if I clicked on my name it wouldn't give the real details.

Sylvia - the system keeps crashing every time I try to change my board name, but at least this one is not my own name!

Sorry for butting in to your postings.

don't be sorry

as long as the name showing on your posting is NOT the name you don't want it to be

do you understand what I'm trying to say???????

are you serious ................ it's cheaper to join as a newbie than to renew??

I pay £9.95 a year ...... and will get some sort of discount when I renew in June, I hope

The deletion was a wise move Julie!

I think we exchanged several e-mails at the time of your 'problem'

Anyway - hope the new ID works this time !!

Well, I'm glad that's sorted!! I though Dea was referring to a name change I had made. I hadn't seen the one by Julie.....cor, thought I was going mad for a minute.......lol

I got a discount in January Sylvs.....£7 something or other.

Flip Report 18 Jan 2011 21:26

No, I'm flip-flop - that is fine.

I renewed my platinum sub for £10 less than the loyaly sub today. And I wanted to loose my past ID so it was bonus. Not sure what it will mean for the standard sub though?

Just found I can still access all my contacts & postings through my old details, and even copy and contact them through this membership!

Go back to your conversations, and sorry for butting in!

It'll soon be summer again, it's starting to get lighter earlier in the morning and darker a little later in the evening.

It won't help with Easter being very late this year, Good Friday is 22 April

I don't know who the flippin' heck someone is who I thnk I should know!

SylviaInCanada

SylviaInCanada Report 19 Jan 2011 06:23

I spent about 2 hours this evening planning our summer trip.

The society we both belong to has its annual meeting in NS in July ......... we used to attend every year, but have missed the last 2 years for various reasons. However, we really do feel that we should attend this one ....... combining it with a visit to the family of course!

J said they would prefer we stayed with them before the meeting rather than afterward.

So I have now presented her with an option of us arriving by plane, staying with them for about 9 days, moving to the university residence for the meeting, and then leaving by train the day after the meeting ends. Alternate dates would be arriving 1 or 2 days later.

As soon as she lets me know whether the dates fit for them, I'll email the information to OH, and he'll get our travel agent to work making the reservations. Somehow, Alvin often finds cheaper deals than I do!

And I always think of the Chipmunks when I say his name!!!!

We're going to splurge, and travel Executive Class on the plane. I did make the interesting discovery that Economy Class fares vary depending on the day of the week, and the time of day, but the two Executive Class fares never change! We're looking at the cheaper of the 2 fares ..... which is non-refundable. I don't see paying almost double just for the ability to make changes without paying extra! We'll take out travel insurance instead!
