Thinking of geting someone in to get my house back 'under control'!!

I have been ill for over 2 years now and during that time my house has not been 'properly' cleaned.

I cannot face doing it all so perhaps I should get someone in to sort it !!

I've had a "lady" come in half a day every 2 weeks since 1995. She's older than me, around 77 or so yet looks 65 or less.

I've always called her my "treasure". It has been sooooooooooo worth it over the years. I don't know how we used to manage when we were both working, before she came.


She hasn't been since we started the kitchen reno back at the end of September ......... well, the place was in such a mess that it wasn't worth it.

The basement is still in a mess from stuff we took down there from the kitchen.


I cna't do much, so OH has to do it ........ and I have to close my eyes.


She called this morning, and is willing to come back when we want her


Problem is, she never obeys when I say leave such-and-such a room because it's in a mess ........... she just has to try to straighten. So there is no way she would leave the basement alone!



guess I'll be nagging OH



Anyway, she's going to see the specialist next week about a cataract operation ....... which might happen in the next 6-8 weeks.



go for it if you can find some one trustworthy

hey i do like healthy too.

in fact i was not thinking of the 2 together.

i like onion rins with my bacon and fried eggs.

cheese and crumpets are good cos i do not drink milk (healing bones)

but apple fritters sound gorgeous with cinnamon please.

Porridge, Red River Cereal

In the warmer:-

bacon, breakfast sausages, turkey sausages, hash browns, Spanish omelette, baked beans, deep fried onion rings

Pancakes, French toast, Maple syrup


Toast, Danish, croissants, crumpets



Jams, jellies, seville orange marmalade, honey, Marmite
