Jax

Just looked up Mow Cop is a village on a high isolated hill. The village straddles the Cheshire–Staffordshire border and is thus also divided between the North West and West Midlands regions of England.

Edit -- Okay Jax am catching up now --- so it would seem to imply that she married a Doyle -- had two daughters --- them married Joseph Gillett and had children with hm

And you proved that Sarah A married the Lamb man as a Doyle -- so that all fits in too

I have I got that correct please

Evening sylv Glad you are now liberated

Sorry Renes had to have my say and I did'nt use my worse swear words in the end.

SylviaInCanada Report 30 Jan 2011 01:18

had a look over there as well!

and had a say!

well ja...x, it did feel "liberating" to go looking for some clothes without having OH standing around, looking at his watch, tapping his foot etc!

he's really good .... but he does hate shopping, and can't understand why I can't just go in a shop, try on one pair of shoes (for example) and buy them

I saw your say! sylv and you worded it better than I would have.

HID does'nt do clothes shopping, but I'm desperate may have to do the online thing again.

Had a message today on ancestry from a relation I know who had been following the wrong line from our gt grandfather. I did'nt tell her I was waiting for her to comment on it or change it herself.

She said "I thought his father was william not George" strange thing is gt grandparents married in London so cert is on there and she had saved it.

So would'nt she have seen his name was George?

Well I think it was out of order too. She must know full well no one is getting payment.....unless there are some on here? I suppose you dont know what people do in pm's.....but I doubt it.

Thats one reason I do not like the the fact one person advertises" Free Lookups" a newbie seeing that may think everyone else charges

ja...x

SylviaInCanada

SylviaInCanada Report 30 Jan 2011 04:45

I hadn't thought of that!

It does imply that others might charge doesn't it?!

jax Report 30 Jan 2011 05:10

When I had a look up thread I did get a pm one day from someone asking how much I charged for look ups.

I replied with words to the effect that no one charges

I dont know where he then posted but it was'nt on my one anyway

It did make me wonder

ja...x

SylviaInCanada

SylviaInCanada Report 30 Jan 2011 05:26

hmmm

that is interesting!

I know we've had pros asking for free help, that they then probably charge their clients for

btu I hadn't thought about anyone on the boards actually charging for work done

wonder if it might be worth putting up a thread asking about it??????????????????????

jax

jax Report 30 Jan 2011 05:43

It will probably only start an arguement off, that it has been rumored that someone is charging (not that it really has) but I suppose there will always be someone who will take offence

Off to bed now night x
