Afternoon All.

What good people we are. lol

As I said I went to a C of E. school. However, when I was about 11 or 12 I joined the Church choir with my friend Eileen. Her mother was a verger at the Parish church. As I was in the school choir, it seems a good idea.

Choir practice on a Thursday night, from 6-7.30 to learn new tunes to old hyms.

Saturday was great, especially in the Summer. All those weddings. I got 2/6 per wedding for singing in the choir. Sometimes I earned as much as 12/6 if it was a busy Saturday.

Mercenary little begger. lol

Hi Everyone
Well today flew. Little M is better and much happier today than she has been for a long time. No medicines today.
We went for a walk this morning to take a birthday card to a friend. Her hubby opened the door and asked us in for a cuppa. I thought she was out as her car wasn't there, so I didn't knock. But it was away for it's MOT.
So we had a nice chat and some tea and Little played with her grand daughters toys.
Whe I got home, the window cleaner was over the road, he is an old neighbour. So I cheekily said I was going to ask if you could do mine and said how much? His mate said £40!! Mark said a cup of tea. I made them what they said was a good cuppa. When I offered payment, he said no that's what friends are for. So thanks very much Mark You made my day.
Off to read a book in a minute.

Linda :o) XxX
Maybe tomorrows task will be the insides?

Rita OH isnt even sure what bit the dog as it was still dark (5.30am) but thinks it was a cat or a rat. Shes very subdued not her usual crazy self, hopefully antibiotics will sort her out. We always keep her on a lead as an ex racer we'd never catch her if she ran off, the only time we ever let her loose is on the beach when its deserted.
Grandaughter on steroids again but at least she isnt in hospital this time. Its scary when she cant breathe, poor little mite was bright red and inhaler wasnt helping.
I hope Mike is doing well.
Off to read for a while, may be back later.

Hi Everyone
Has anyone else missed Mo?
I found this on another thread she usually adds to:-

"from Mo today letting us know that she isn't feeling too good.

She went to the doctors on Friday, she's been suffering from pain in her rib cage for a while now, so thought it best to get it checked. Although he doesn't think it's anything serious, she has had to go for an xray today. Mo has asked me to tell you all, that she;s mostly OK, but is feeling a bit off colour and also finding it uncomfortable to sit typing on the computer, for too long. So she won't be on the thread for at least a few days."

Mo if you look in I hope all is OK and you feel much better very soon

Right, lets see if I can remember everything.....

Great story Dermot, you've got a job for life here, we aren't going to let you stop writing now.

Maddie can sing, wish I could...... I'm tone deaf.

Hope your dog's OK Cath, poor thing, greyhounds are so gentle aren't they?

It can't be nice watching your granddaughter struggle to breath but it's a relief she didn't end up in hospital again.

Nice to see you Yvonne, you should pop in more often.

Our Mo isn't very well. It does sound like you've trapped something Mo, or maybe bruised a rib. I was wondering where you were, hope it's nothing serious.

Thank you for letting us know Linda........... and stop chatting up window cleaners........... you're a married woman.

Pat, are you still looking for Mr Right, or did the first one put you off?

Well done to Marilyn's grandsons. Have a great holiday Marilyn and get your lappy fired up as soon as you get there.

Rita, you've been working well with your tree, did you manage to see the whole of the census?

Where's Jean? Hope everything's OK with little Scarlett.

Shelly, the same thing always happens to me........... I get a contact and they don't know anything and I end up sending them loads of info and certs........... and getting no further forward myself.

Stephen, I started looking at that book when I got up this morning (while I was waiting for son to wake up). It really does start from the beginning doesn't it? I wasn't expecting it to go that far back. He's a very knowledgeable man isn't he? Makes me wonder even more now - how life actually started. I know how the planet started now though!!

I think I've caught up on all the posts now.

Going to wash my hair now, I'm going out with my friend after son goes to the day centre.
