Morning all.
Popping in to say hello before I go to work. Not raining this morning so hopefully will get to park with little ones this afternoon.
My cough is back too but GP says my chest is clear so thats good. It must be the 4th cold I've had this winter, so many people are the same, I can't remember such a winter for germs!
Hope those of you with coughs and sniffles feel better, I think we could all do with some warm sunny weather.
Have a good day everyone

Morning all
Bit brighter here this morning
Hoping to get out for a walk before hubby has to go to work. It was after midnight when he got home last night. Why am I unable to go to bed before he comes in?
Have son's spaniel coming to stay for a few days as they have a busy weekend and mine will be quiet with hubby working. So I will have to go out for some walks eh. Good excuse.

Have a good day everyone

Rita have you cleared cookis lately on your computer? It might help

Oh It's like the Marie Celeste on here

I have been for an hours walk with hubby round Virginia Water by Valley Gardens and the Polo grounds.

I was amazed to see Rhododendrons in flower.

It is actually sunny here so will try to do some tidying up this afternoon in the garden

Enjoy today everyone

Hi Linda.
What a glorious day we have here in Kent. The washing is actually out on the line drying for a change. I have changed all the bedding, and washed the bathroom mats.
Some of the weeds have been pulled up from the garden, I can't believe how quickly they are shooting up as well.
Enjoy yourself out in your garden this afternoon.

Hi Patricia
I hope you are feeling a bit better. Is today a day off work or is it because you are unwell? If you are sick why do you need to go in tomorrow? Surely it would be better to stay home warm and dry and have the weekend to get back on your feet.

Mo well done on the start to your spring cleaning. Mine will have to wait til I get back from my hols.

I did get out in the garden and sort some pots out. Believe it or not I had bulbs srouting in the garage, now they are in the pots, much more chance for them. I also pulled some early weeds.... chickweed if anyone knows what that is? It was everywhere.

Sun still shinning it is lovely and makes you feel so much brighter

Hi Linda,
I'm home ill. I came home. My nose was dripping like a tap. I took some lemsips. They are relly good. I didn't even watch the footie last night. When I woke up this morning my cold had gone but I felt tired. I didn't think I could hack sitting at a desk! Agood night's sleep and I should be 100%.

LindainBerkshire1736004

LindainBerkshire1736004 Report 24 Feb 2011 15:47

Patricia
Just make sure you really are better before going in tomorrow, the lemsips could be supressing your virus and then you will be poorly for longer.

Sound like your Mum telling you off don't I !!

Take care

That Chickweed is a nuisance Linda, my garden seems to get so much of it. As fast as I pull it out, it seems to reappear.
Tomorrow, we are starting to paint the lounge and dining room.
Why is it when the sun starts to shine everything looks so grubby. So a quick paint round will soon sort it out.
We went to B+Q's yesterday, and took advantage of our discount card, as wednesday is pensioners day. It saved us £6.00 on the paints.

Pat if you don't feel any better tomorrow, why not stay at home. At least that way, you will have the whole weekend to recover.

Afternoon all,
well the sun has been out here but has disappeared again. At least I was able to get the little ones out for some fresh air. Went to a charity shop for a poke about and bought a small (2ft square) coffee table, solid wood and strong £15. The top is watermarked but I think once I get the sander and varnish out and get to work on it, it will be ok. I'm really pleased with it and love a challenge.
Patricia I hope you feel better soon.
Tonight I'm hoping to do some research on my GGG grandfather who has so far proved impossible to find out about. I only know his name, approximate Y O B and occupation despite my best efforts at uncovering more.
Back later

Dermot Report 24 Feb 2011 17:25

This year, July has 5 Fridays, 5 Saturdays & 5 Sundays.

This apparently happens once every 823 years.

Do you remember the last time?

Clue:- Henry II, King of England (1154–1189) .

Mike has been to the hospital today they are pleased with his progress
he has the district nures come in everyday. in a few months time he has to go in for another operation on his other kidney it is only a minor one.

Did anyone see the The Heir Hunters this moning it was really good I think this series is so much better than the others

I wonder how these Heir Hunters will cope late in years to come when there are no census from 2011 onwards.?
will they apply to the Government for copies of thes 2011 ones I wonder ?

Evening all !

A wee treat.......Do a Google for....... Buachaille Etive Mor......and you will see where I will be on Saturday/Sunday.

One search is listed as 'Images of Buchaille Etive Mor' I think that's the best one.

Lovely hill........but deadly if you don't give it respect.

My wee tent will be beside the burn. Hoping for a clear sky and loads of stars. Usually when it's clear you see plenty of shooting stars.

A dram in the Hotel to Toast my absent friends, Norman and Ian, then a fry up for supper on the Primus stove.

The deer will be on low ground as it's winter so they come scrounging around for something to eat. I might just have a Venison Steak.

Will be thinking of you all as I cosy down in my sleeping bag with a good book.

Will catch you tomorrow anyway.....or later tonight..

Dermot, lol.

Have been searching for info on Thomas Boyd my GGGgrandfather. He's driving me round the bend!!! Am just about ready to give up on him. I'm patient by nature but this is ridiculous. Ah well, think i'll have a go with another elusive irishman..
