well here I am back on again this morning. I have just prepared my dinner for today and watched the Political show on Tv while having my coffee.
How come you people are still doing your family trees ? Have I missed something ? I have all my ancestors trees each Grandfather and Grandmothers trees have seen researched and I have found them all and gone on to Grandfathers and Grandmothers families and so on right back in most cases 1780 some I have managed to get even further.
My father side I have got back to 1634. My Scottish roots back to 1748, Mothers side is back 1685 and 1800 I have also managed to get Mums brothers and sister s spouses famlies way back. I have them all in book form have not entered them on the family tree on GR as there are so many. where do you stop ?
The two I have not been able to get I have had to give up on, one of the death of my Great Uncle Walter Lee(he was still alive in 1911) and living in Portsmouth listed as ship to shore 1st class petty officer retired. the other Great Uncle (walters brother ) is my Young Absalom Lee born in 1871 who vanished after the 1881 census found no marriage/Death/ emigrations enlistments/or living in Wales where two of his brothers went to live and two of his uncles . I have sent for death certfictes for Walter all have been wrong. Absalom vanished. was he murdered ? did he die in an accident? no one knows and I have never been able to find him
so there is no point in my looking in Ancestry .I had a trace done for him it came back negative when I have put them on Trying to Find boards everyone comes back with his father who was also Absalom but born in 1827 so I have two bricks one I know everything but his death. the other who vanished off the face f the earth no matter how many times I scroll through Ancestry I cannot find him.
He is labeled the one that got away.
so how come you ladies are still researching ? what part of the family or are you doing a way back one. ?

Afternoon all, the weather can't make up it's mind what to do here. I've got washing on the line with dozens of pegs trying to hold it down, but if the wind dies down I think it'll rain.
I gave up tying to get on here yesterday............ first we had a power cut, then the Internet went down, then GR wouldn't let me in.
Loads of alarms were going off yesterday because of the power cut, people had gone away for the weekend and when the power went down it set off all the alarms.
I had a surprise visit from my nephew and his children, they were up from Berkshire for the weekend........... so yesterday wasn't all bad.
Nice to see you back Lady, I was just thinking you hadn't been on for a while. Can you put your dogs up as an Avatar so we can see them?
Hope everything is going well for Shelly and little legs.
Hello to Eilidh and Darcey, bet you've been having a lovely time with your gran and granddad. I know granddad's had a lovely time with you two.

Hi Linda,
I've done the same as you washing all out & drying......never thought I would wash today as it was rather cloudy this morning ....
I had a brain storm....started to polish my spare bedroom furnisher changing sheets, ended up ordering a new Mattress on line ....coming on Tuesday, the one I had looked a bit drab..... so now I got the bug to get my feather duster out and wash all skirting boards :S
Now friends have turned up :S But they are lovely I could do with a rest ..LOL
Edit Oosps waves to Pauline ~~~~~~~~~~~

Rita, in answer to your question love, I have come to a standstill with my tree, and have given up for the time being. It's been such a headache, not only for myself, but for some of our friends on here, who have also been helping me.
Stephen, bless your little darlings. Like you, I have one of my grandaughters here for two days. She is nearly 19, but loves to come and stay with her nan and grandad. She may only be a little shorty, but by golly she can talk for England, I don't know where she gets her energy from.
I hope that little legs's christening went of o.k. I have visions of him splashing the vicar, when he does the sign of the cross on his forehead. ( take that you orrible man, for making me wet) LOL
Like everyone else, the washing is all done and dried. A good day for getting it all done and dusted wasn't it.
Oooh Pauline what a good idea, for Lady to put her dogs up as her avatar, I know we would all love to see them. Hows things been Lady, o.k I hope :-)

Rita I haven't done any research on my tree for ages! A great great grandfather came from Deal and another one came from Stafford! I'm going out with my sister and brother in law in a minute. I'm glad I'm feeling better now. Sometimes when I don't feel very well I feel sorry for myself and I wonder why I'm by myself =I =I Whe I'm feeling fineI always remember once when I was twenty I thought I don't want to get married and I want to live by myself :-) crazy now I've got what I wanted! :D

Hi All,
Rita ..I have gone as far as 13th century on one of my trees......now not all my own work of course, I got as far as 1685 and a family historian named George Tregaskis wrote a book on *WHAT'S IN A NAME* and I joined his book as he had my Ancestors already in his book.He was from another branch but never the less we had a lot in common. I still am widening my twigs and you can go on a forever spreadable journey of leaves. I'm still on 4 other family branches going back maybe 1700's but mainly spreading leaves ....for ever & ever, LOL...... I go as wide as the length !! never ending.
Hi Mo & Pat. Hope you have have a good day , glad your feeling a bit better Pat and enjoy your self with your sister and behave...LOL
I have just had a Curry ...Hmm Home made one I'm full and about to burst.
Shelly ....Whats the latest News...come on we are waiting

Evening All !
Rita......Family Research, I still get wrapped up doing it now and again.
I'm not to concerned about how far I go back.....as long as the information can be verified as accurate. The 'Brick Wall' jumps up now and again, so I retreat, regroup, and then attack it again. I seek help from others on the same root search and hopefully manage to make sense of it all.
My dear Lady Stephen, is in fact descended from a Princess Navara of Spain, back around 1650s or so, but we are not putting this on our Tree as the information is a bit suspect at this stage........Now I know why she treats me like a servant ;-) ;-) ;-) ;-) ;-)
Had a fantastic day out with my wee lassies. Hope it's not too long before we do it again.
Gonna have a bite to eat and a relax.
