A wee chuckle for the day !

I'm a Senior Citizen

I'm very good at telling stories......over and over again.

I'm the life and soul of the party.....even when it lasts as long as 8pm

I'm the first one to find the toilet wherever I go

I'm awake at least three hours before my body allows me to get up

I'm usually interested in getting home before I get to where I'm going

I'm anti everything, anti-smoking, anti-noise, anti-inflammatory

I'm wrinkled saggy and lumpy- and that's just my left leg

I keep in touch with my friends- through the Obituary Column

I'm smiling all the time-because I can't hear what you're saying

I'm a walking storeroom of knowledge- I've just lost the key to open it.

:-D :-D :-D :-D :-D :-D :-D :-D :-D :-D :-D :-D

Stephen thats not me.

my Estate Manager goes out and forgets to take her flat keys she must have asked me 10 times in the last year for help. I let her in to the lobby by safety phone and she calls the Anchor call for the code to open the cupboard that holds her key.
If she has a small window open she uses my window key to open her big window, and gets in that way. we are geared into safety here.

she is young I am old and up till now have not left my key in doors. maybe it is because I have a little notice i put on the inside of my flat door which has two words.
Keys and Windows. so I remember to make sure I have the keys and that all windows are closed.
lets hope now I have told you I dont lock myself out.

Thinking of you Jean.

Love Rita

Good afternoon All.

Just caught up with all the posts today.

Well who said weekends were for leisure.

Up early and went to get the shopping, and dragged it back in a shopping trolley. :-(

Went for a very slow walk with K. and the dog, got a few things posted.

Lunch. Then stood ironing for a couple of hours, washed my hair ready for work tomorrow. All that faffing about blow drying it. I am having it trimmed up again on Wednesday.

Done a few more bit and bobs, then looking forward to cooking dinner. :-P

We have a very good system K. and I. I dont ask him to cook, and he dont ask me to clean the cooker, shoes, or stick my hand down the loo to clean it. It seems to work. :-)

Hope everyone is well. See ya all later.

Evening folks,
well, didn't I get a surprise at the records library this morning, lol, lol, lol.
My great grandparents had 13 children between 1888 and 1904 and silly old me thought they married sometime around 1887-1888. Oh no, they waited until 1915 ;-) Even the librarian had a job to suppress a smile.
Had a gret deal of success this morning and that was the icing on the cake, been looking for that marriage for ages and was all but ready to give up. Also found my 'invisible Grandads' DOB.
Going to put info on my tree tonight so might not be back, hope everyone is well and has a good evening,
Special thoughts to Jean,

Cath xx

Marilyn, I think Maddie means Charles Dance, he of film star fame. lol

It's been a beautiful day here.
Tomorrow is my grandaughters christening up in Scotland. I shall be thinking about them at 11.00 a.m when the service is happening.

Oooh Cath, you lucky girl, finding out all that info on the family skeletons in the closet.

Dermot

Dermot Report 25 Jun 2011 19:26

Can you write 50 words without using a single one twice, even those like "the" or "and"?. It isn't easy.

Example:-

While holidaying, try eating locally prepared food. Many visitors find huge relief from kitchen duties, enjoying new tastes and delicious foreign ingredients.

Locals need regular tourist income. They have to manage finances for the whole year on what is earned during summer seasons.

Holidays are such fun.
