Good luck for tomorrow Rita

We had a good storm here this afternoon, indoor play today at school. Quite a few of the kids frightened of the thunder.

Blimey Sue, where did you pop up from! hope everything is ok, like your pic.

nice blue sky this morning what a day yesterday was we had rain and more rain and thunder and lightening it never stopped it was about 6 before it finally bowed out.

I have been up since 6 had a shower had a cup of tea and three little biscuits I must not have anything to eat or drink four hours before my scan. Then when I get to the hospital I have to drink 1 litre of Aniseed with orange or blackcurrant then I have idione injections in my arm. before my scan. horrible. the scan takes about 30 minutes. so it is a long morning and I will not be back before 2.30 .
so I popped in to wish you all a good day plenty of sunshine

Morning Rita
I hope the scan goes OK for you this morning and that the results are good.
Sun is up this morning so I have the washing ready. Yesterdays is on the airer as it didn't dry at all indoors. Might need to hang it out later.
Mo I did lots of knitting yesterday, the back and two fronts of a small cardigan with some white baby wool I already had. Should get the sleeves done today. Yes my daughter does want hand knitted things as she has already asked me if I can make some sleeping bags as they had when they were babies. I asked if she didn't want bought velvety ones but she said NO she wanted me to make them. So I am happy to do that for her.

Have a good day everyone

Linda :-) <3

Shelly Pumpkins will take over, just like courgettes and squash all sorts of marrows. You will need lots of water. Not that that is a problem at the moment !!!

There were 250 Aboriginal languages spoken in Australia before the European invasion.

Anyone know how many languages are spoken in the UK at the moment?

Morning all, it's bright and sunny here but really windy. A good day for drying the washing.

Good luck Rita, hope it goes well for you.

One of my keys has popped off........... my backspace key, and I can't get it back on again. I use that key a lot because I make so many typing mistakes.

Sorry Shelly, I don't know anything about pumpkins, I've never grown them.

I'll be going out in about an hour but I'll try to do a bit on my tree first.

Dermot, I've got no idea.

Marilyn they have been giving me blackcurrant with my aniseed to drink I got there ealry this morning we went on the M25 and although there was alot of cars it moved well. so I booked in and they gave me my drink early then just before I finshed driniing the pint of Aniseed the nurse said I am going to insert the tube into your arm for the idione, I said why now ? it is usually done when I am laying down. informed. we have too many scan patients today so we are doing the built up to the scan a different way. so I explained I was on warfarin she said right . and injected the tube into my arm of course it spurted she was not happy about it. I told her I did warn you. she asked me my name date of birth and address. then I sat outside in the lobby while people were coming and going including beds being pushed along. then went in once again asked my name date of birth and address I said I know who the prime minster is as well. she smiled I said I have never had this done in this way before. she asked me if it was my first C, T scan I said no I have four a year and have done so for the passed four and half years., I told her I felt as if I was on a conveoyor belt. I was out after 30 minutes in the Scanner. and had to sit for ten minutes because of my blood.
when I got home I didnt fell too good I had , not eaten since last night or had a drink. so I made tea and sat down and went off to sleep.
I will have to wait till 20th September till I get the result unless there is something more and it has started to grow again then they will write to me. so I can do nothing now but wait.

Marilyn
one of the things I hate is Pumpkin when living in Norfolk one of my friends married an American stationed at Lakenheath and someone gave her the biggest Pumpkin I had ever seen . she intended making a Pumpkin pie. but he was called back stateside so they came to see me before they flew off to the states , and gave me this pumpkin I cleared the fruit out and gave the pumpkin to one of my neigbours who had three small boys. the made a face on it and put nighlights in and it stood in their front garden for a week. I gave the fruit filling to some others who made pies and they had a party in the village hall.

I have never tasted pumpkin, have carved loads out though, I think I might try it next time.
