Rita Report 6 Jul 2010 12:07

Marilyn where are you off to this time then next week ?
I shall be going away next friday week for 8 days with my sister I am looking forward to that I am getting deppressed with all these problems cropping up. I should not be there are poeple worse off then me.

I rang the bell of the Estate Manager this morning to tell her the wood that surround the heavy glass in our outside safety door had dropped off. I said the glass is stuck in but you need to put a notice up if people come and go in to our hallway the glass might come lose and someone might get hurt. she knocked afterwards and said a man is coming to do it next week he cannot come this week. she stuck some tape on it. in the meantime.
She told me she had explained to the Aera Estate Manager about the problem with the Kids and she is wrtiting to Their Housing Trust about it it appears they are rent payers and The Hosuing Trust own the houses..
other than that they can do nothing. I am not allowed to take their ball off them as I will get a summons for stealing their property.
I told her I was getting intouch with the community police and also going to make an appointment with CAB. so I will wait and see what happens first with the letter.

I had my blood test done and I had the surgery nurse do it she told me I did not look well ? I told her all my problems and that I could not get an appointment to see my GP as he was away from tomorrow till the end of the month.
she gave me a cuddle and said you dont have to go to that hospital you do know that you can cancel seeing that doctor.
she went outside to have a word with the women at the desk and came b ack she had made me an appointment with another Doctor who I go to for tomorrow morning at 9 'olock to sort it all out.
I like and idiot stood there crying. it had all gotten to me. I dont know what people waiting to see the other doctors thought.

Oh Rita,

You poor darling ....you must have been at your lowest this morning.
Now that you are seeing this other doctor maybe the burden of your appointments will fade.....Chin up as you are going away soon and that will give you a big boost and you will forget about all your problems at least have a rest from them !!
About time some of the other residents did some complaining Rita ,as you seem to be the only one , let them get involved for a bit .

Now go and lie down.....have a stiff Brandy or Whiskey and fall asleep ...until tea time......then do it again until bed time, then if you cant sleep at bed time...... be a night Owl on lappy ... all night LOL mind you there are some funny peeps on here at night !!!

Edit,....going to North Devon ...

Rita

Rita Report 6 Jul 2010 14:46

well you wont have to wait in queues for the plane if your going to Devon.
I am going to Dorset I have not been there since I was a child and that was along time ago.
My sister booked it all in March or April she looked for a Hotel on The sea front. we go by train on the 16th I really need this seaside break.
one of my Granddaughters Georgia lives in Christchurch in Dorset so I will be able to see her while I am down there she works during the week so l shall see her at the weekend.
My sister said we can pop over to Gernsey while we are there on a day trip.
I dont need my passport Lol.

I have this last few weeks felt really low all the worry of the kids with their foot balls and this doctor at the hospital keeps changing my perscription as you know. so I get uptight when I need to reorder my medication. I only hope the Doctor tomorrow will be able to help me get it sorted.

I was going through my family tree and my cousin said that we are related to Robert Lee the footballer so I am going to try and find if she is right because his father should be my cousin Charlie Lee this Robert was born in 1966 in London I think it is Plaistow London so that would be about right. I had him down as ours but need to double check it too make sure.. my cousin Charlie and I have not seen each other for over 40 years.

see you later

Hello Rita, have just read your thread, am so sorry you are not feeling too well, and I do hope the estate manager can sort out the problem of the kids and ball games, it is no fun having to listen to a ball banging against your wall is it.
Hope your appointment with the other Doctor gets you some help.
Sometimes I think it isn't much fun getting older.

Enjoy your holiday, relax and leave your worries behind you.

Rita Report 6 Jul 2010 18:59

Shelly thank you for the pm NO IT IS NOT THE SAME FAMILY
I knew my Aunty and Uncle well use to visit them when they lived in Wealdstone in the 40's she was Aunty May and my Uncle was Sid although his name was really cyril.they did have a large family 8 in all 5 boys and 3 girls.
when aunty May died my uncle married again Gerty .
thank you for letting me know . I wonder if they were related to me. ?perhaps they were one of the brothers children?

I hope you all had a good day today. it has got very warm now. I have just eaten a salad .and had a cup of tea.
nothing on TV tonight that I want to see so I will look at a DVD.

Did you see that sex programe for children last night ?I thought it was too expliicit. who want to see loads of hanging all shapes and sizes.
The girls mothers knew their daughters were having sex and only 14 and 15 year olds and did not seem to mind no wonder so many very young girls are having babies.when their parents treat it as normal.
I watched it as I wanted to see what they would show them. I turned it off later.when I heard the mothers.

Oh Rita,I do hope the doctor can sort you out tommorrow. It saddens me
that you are feeling so down. But my love, you have had so much on your plate lately, what with the worry of your son in law,and your own health problems. It's no surprise that those blessed kids have been getting on your nerves. I hate to say it, but there are a lot of youngsters, who have no respect for other people. Not all are like it I hasten to add,but they are so rare.
I know of the programme you were talking about. No wonder they put it on at 10.pm last night. The children get sex education at school these days, but the questions they were asking last night, are not covered by the school curriculum. I suppose they have got to learn somehow, but most of us had to learn the hard way,at the school of hard knocks. And it never did us any harm I suppose.
Way back when I was young, the only sex education we got,was learnt by listening to others talking in the girls toilets.
I know that when I started work,a girl I worked with, who was older than me
thought that you could get pregnant by kissing a boy.LOL

Morning ladies, I have a whole day to myself today, yipee!
Hope you all enjoy your day, what ever you will be doing.
Just watching GMTV, they are broadcasting news items from
Northumberland about the missing gunman, it must be really scary living in the villages where the police are searching.
I have occasionally said 'oh nothing happens where I live' now I say thank goodness it doesn't, wouldn't like to be living there.
I will be thinking about the people having to live through this and hope the man is caught without any more blood shed.

Going to make a cuppa now, anyone like one?

(_) (_) (_) (_) (_) tea or coffee
\_/ \_/ \_/ fresh orange

Bye for now, have a good day.

Morning all.

Sorry I didn't get here yesterday, I was out all day, and then had a bit of a family problem later. My sister's husband is a diabetic and needs to have 4 injections a day - my sister always kept him right with his injections. Now that she's not here to keep an eye on him, he's forgetting to do it and then when he remembers - he's doing 2 straight off.

Yesterday he had a hypoglycemic attack while he was driving and passed out. Luckily he felt it coming on and started to slow down and pull over. He passed out before he managed to stop the car, so he crashed.

My niece rang his mobile to see where he was (because he was late) and someone answered it saying her dad had crashed and was lying on the pavement semi conscious. She explained that he was having a diabetic fit and needed medical attention immediately. So he ended up in hospital!!

Rita, I'm sorry to see that you're having such a lot of stress and upset over the kids kicking the ball next to your flat and not being able to do anything about it. And all the hassle you're having with different doctors having different opinions. I hope you manage to get sorted out as soon as possible. You really need this holiday, while you're away try to forget about all the problems you have back home.

GRMarilyn Report 7 Jul 2010 10:49

Oh my god Pauline...

Poor chap, it could have been more serious thank goodness he had his wits
about him to stop driving ...

Is he still in hospital ?

Now that's going to worry you all now , he best stop driving until he can sort out all his injections on time.

My god its all bad news of late yesterday while I was at the hospital with my dad , a man & wife came to book in , suddenly the man started to have an heart attack at the booking desk, I quickly got a member of A&E to get him in the treatment room , we were all running around like mad people. trying to find a wheel chair .
The poor wife was in tears ,so I consoled her best I could. I came away thinking did he survive that attack ?......I'll never know !!

I couldn't sleep last night thinking about it ...

Rita Report 7 Jul 2010 11:00

Pauline that was bad for your sisters husabnd I suppose it is all the strain and it is catching up with him now. poor man. I am pleased he managed to pull over before passing out.
He will have to have a large calender with squares so he gets used to crossing off each time he does his injection. so he will not forget.

I had a good morning at the doctors mine was not there so I saw the other one . he was the one who sent me to the hospital for the test for RA. he had the letter I had written to my GP and he said Rita did you type this out . ? I said yes why have I done wrong. ? no you have written that out so clearly and explained it so that Paul and I can understand (Paul being my doctor ) he said congratulations on putting it the way you have. and it has helped me understand what is going on. I said I have cut the steriods down now to 9 m as the hospital Doctor told me . he asked how I felt I said tired and depressed with it all. he said we will keep you on the 9 mg as we will lower it slowly over a period of time. and see how you go on. mean while he explained that the steriods would make me put on weight I said I know the less I eat the more it goes on. he said steriods also make you want to eat more. we talked for a wile he said I will ask Paul to write and tell the hospital we are treating you for your PMR as we have been for the last five years. He gave me some sleeping pills I said I dd not want to take them I did not want to get additted he said they are there should you need them you dont have to take them but they are for you to get a good nights sleep.
I came away feeling so much better after speaking to him.
They are the wonderful doctors always find the time to speak to you never rush you through until they are satisfied you understand things.

I've just rang Marilyn and he's been stabilized and sent home. I knew this would happen, he's useless without her, he has us all worried sick.

What a shock you must have had at the hospital, I hope the poor man was alright. I don't suppose he could have chosen a better place to take ill. I hope someone took care of his wife after you left.
