Good news Mo. Glad Roly is OK. Just make sure he gets a follow up on the IBS and if necessary follow the diet carefully. It really can help.

My BIL has just had the same and he was given the all clear after a worrying few weeks.

Lots of visitors this afternoon, all needing coffee and a chat.

Little gone home happily. She will come later tomorrow, so I can walk down for my blood test and not worry about keeping her amused while I wait (it is a walk in clinic). Fasting test too so nothing to eat or drink other than water from now til I get back home.

Linda is the blood test for your cholesterol,or diabetes. Like you Roly has to have both done. Poor ol thing ,he seems to be falling apart at the seams.
Good luck for it anyway. I hope you don't feel to hungry in the morning. It does tend to make you a bit light headed doesn't it,not having breakfast I mean.lol!!
I don't know what everyone elses weather has been like,but it is still flipping hot here. We had a few showers, but not enough to cool it down properly.

Good evening Jean it must be scary having new treatment ontop of what you already have. Do you have somebody to go with you I sure hope you do? I shall be thinking of you tomorrow Take care.

Mo the blood tests are for Thyroid, diabetes and also for my iron levels now, for the hair loss. Some for the hospital and some for the drs. 2 different hospitals now. One for thyroid and diabetes,the glands. The other is the dermatologist, my hair loss. No choloestrol this time. Though they might as well do that while they have the samples eh?

Still very hot here. No rain, just a little in the night. Looks OK for tomorrow, but it does mean I'll be out with the watering can for my poor pots again in the morning. I've had patio doors open and front windows fully open too. Nice breeze blowing through but had to close them when it got dark.

Hi Jean, positive thoughts for you today - just imagine this crowd of us walking behind you - ready with a cuppa and hug afterwards, can't you just picture it lol I am sure thinking about everyone on here trying to pour the tea and such and getting in each other's way will raise a smile. Sure to be one who forgets the biscuits or drops the packet so they all smash into crumbs, good thing it's only a cyber image or the mess would be awful lol

I will be glad when his stupid course is over with tonight and just hope he passes the exam, that will put him in a good mood lol
He did say something about renewing his passport so hopefully I can persuade him a holiday in the sun will be nice in late Sept/early Oct as last year, better than nothing and back in time for the baby's arrival. He said he wasn't keen on going back to Corfu tho where we stayed last time altho I thought he liked it there, the barman was on his side and would always encourage him to stay for another drink lol and I suggested we could go on a couple of different trips to see more of the island. Will leave it for a week or two and drop a few more suggestions in the hat lol
Have to decide if I am definitedly keeping the dress I got or going to look for something else, as I only have three more days before the time is up to get a refund on it. I think it will be ok tho and must trawl the shops for some shoes and a bag and possible a shrug. I realised that there is a little black in the pattern so if needs be my black shrug would do, and yesterday I popped into a charity shop looking for a bag and found a pretty black lacy effect shawl, sort of silky knit/crochet, from Company so probably a freebie from Company magazine? It only cost £1 and looks brand new so I will wash that through by hand and have that at the ready as well as lining the scarf and opening it up as a stole, so will have several choices depending on weather on the day.

It's been very warm here in Norwich and only a few spits and spots of rain so will have to get outside and water everything again soon if we get no rain today, but hope it stays dry when he goes to the course or he won't leave the car for me to use.

I want to nip out and see my son. He is so fed up with the place he works at and after the chance of going to Dubai with the company for a few weeks, fell through due to the cost to the company, he hasn't much to look forward to only his break at the Reading festival when I am at the wedding. He has heard of a temporary (six month maternity leave cover) job at the local prison, helping the prisoners find accommodation etc when they have finished their time so has applied for that. As he says there is always the chance the lady might change her mind about coming back to work, or there might be another opening if they like his work, and if not, he can find something and will have some knowledge of housing issues etc under his belt. Anything to get him away from his boring job he has stuck for 4 years

Oh where are you all

I waited 1hr 10 mins at the drs for a walk in clinic !!! At least she had no trouble getting bloods today. But think I will bruise as it is quite red and bumpy.

It may please some of you to know I got wet walking home as it is actually raining here now. Still I won't need to do much watering only under the porch and the pergola.

Hi Everyone..

I have been busy with my grand daughter again.. I have her two days a week and she does want me full time.

I think Ive driven Shelly around the bend with my daughter -in -laws tree, I had given up several times then someone contacts me for info and me & Shelly are doing all the work !!

So I have pulled the plug on it ......I think Shelly will be glad as well as she has been such a great help I think she should be on TRYING to FIND THREAD .
Shelly might be up that tree ,but I hope she comes down....what a waste of our time its been ,just cannot get a connection.....He's invisible !!!!

My goodness all these Hospital appointments.....are we all getting old or what ??? LOL

Jean I hope everything's gone well today, does the treatment cause any pain? Are you getting a different type of treatment for your other cancer? I hope you had someone to go with you.

Mo, that's a good result for your OH, must be a weight off your mind. IBS is a problem but nothing compared to what it could have been. I'm pleased there was nothing untoward. I don't have that type of problem, the hospital just want me on a programme where I'll be tested every year. I'm already in a programme where I have an ovarian scan once a year but they want me in a colonoscopy programme now.

Liz you should have taken some photos of yourself in the dress and we could help you decide if it's the right one for the big day. Don't leave it too late to get it changed if you decide not to wear it.

Linda I hope the blood tests show what's wrong with your thyroid so you can get it sorted. I'm sure it's your thyroid that's behind the problem with your hair. And with all the running around you do, you should be about 6 stone - so your thyroid might have something to do with that as well.

Marilyn do you want an axe so you can chop that tree down? We'll let it dry out and set fire to it on bonfire night.

Shelly I thought Rita might have used her sister's lappy to pop in as well, she must be too busy enjoying herself.

Well I don't know what Rita has been up to,but she has been very quiet since she went away. I bet her and her sister have been having a lovely time,paddling in the water,or building sand castles on the beach.
Maybe she has got friendly with one of the lifeguards on the beach. Cor I hope she brings one or two back for us to share.
Mind you,I would need a book or lessons on how to do mouth to mouth resusitation(sp), a peck on the cheek is about all I get these days.

Did you enjoy your go on the swings Marilyn. I like the see saw best, especially when I jump off, and my grandson bumps to the ground,I don't know who laughs most, him or me.
I don't like it on the round about though, little J is a devil, he enjoys my getting giddy,and rolls on the grass with laughter.
I am a big kid at heart.LOL!!!!

Shelly I think Rita said they were going to Bournemouth,for their holiday. So I don't think her sister would have taken her lappy with her.
I know what you mean about all the hospital appointments,we are a poorly lot arn't we. If it's not that one or the others of us,are at the doctors.
You just wait,you are a spring chicken at the moment,but sooner or later,old age just creeps up on you. Don't forget, you are the baby of our little family.

Pauline, I know it's not a very nice thought having to have the colonoscopy done,but it's a nessesary(sp) evil. It would put your mind at ease. I know that Roly has been a lot more cheerful,since they gave him the all clear.
It only needed the doctor say the C word,and he was scared shi*less.(scuse the language girls).

I agree with what Pauline said Liz,perhaps you should send one of us a picture of you in your wedding outfit,and we can then pass our critical eye over it. LOL!!!. No seriously, I am sure it will be lovely. Your description of it sounded beautiful.
Have you decided what colour accessories to put with it. Linda had a beautiful outfit for her daughters wedding, she looked stunning.

Hello ladies, hope you are all ok and have had a nice day.

well have had my first radiotherapy, and wasn't as bad as I expected,
a bit painful, but I can put up with that. and have morphine to take when needed.

the scan for the cancer in my back shows that it is inactive at the moment, which is a big relief. have another scan in 4 weeks. I dont have radiotherapy on my back, have an injection right into the cancer, wont clear it but should, if I'm lucky, prevent it from growing or spreading to other parts of my body.

Well I'm off to bed now, feel as though I have been up for a week.

Ah bless you Jean,keep your chin up. When do you have your next dose of radiotherapy,is it a daily thing,or weekly. I am sorry I am showing my ignorance here.

SIX new housemates Marilyn,how the heck are they going to sleep them all. I know they have got double beds, but perhaps they will chuck Steve out into the backgarden so they can all get a good nights sleep. I certainly could not sleep with the noises he makes in his sleep.LOL

Hi Mo, thank you, I have radiotherapy every day Mon - Fri, then 2 days off at the weekend.
