Mo, really sorry about your cat, we had to have ours put down after we'd had him 18 years, it's horrible isn't it?

Marilyn, you're making your sister's holiday so good she won't want to go home.

Rita, hope the scan it OK again this time and you won't need any more treatment.

Shelly are you out with the family today or at work?

I phoned the Goldsworth care volunteer drivers they are and take you to and from the hospital do your shopping if you are unwell things like that. they give you an envelope you put a donation in toward the cost of the petrol they are brilliant I dont know what I would do without them. they give us a strawberry tea in the summer so we all meet up.
I cannot be cured it is in the kidney and liver first stages they keep it down that was why I did months of injections it had been stable for about 11 months now. so that is all that matters.everyday is a day of life to me.
I thank my blessing for that. this next scan will tell if it has got any worse or stable.
to have my warfarin blood test done, they all come at once these hospital appointments.at 10. then I get the results back within two days. this gives the amount of tablets I need to take each day at the moment I have 5 mg.
I took my perscription across the the chemist this afternoon they get the repeat done take it to the surgery and get it typed and signed and I collect it in three days time from the chemist. it is muck easier for me.

Yes I am back Even though nobody else is here?
We walked for England yesterday all round Eastbourne, about 17,000 steps nearly 4 times what I manage most days. Had a nice meal in Harvester in the evening I had Chicken & bacon stack with salad & peas and a few chips. Diet coke to drink and tea when we got back home.
We drove back this morning for my nurses apt. No I am borderline diabetic Marilyn trying to avoid tablets but I ganined weight this month (Naughty & smack hand). Back again in a month. Blood test reults not back yet maybe tomorrow. Thyroid hosp appointment next Tuesday. Will see what they say about how many tablets I am taking, if the should be increased back to where they were 6 months ago !!
The medication for the reflux seems to be helping as hubby says I am not coughing at night. That is amazing.

Hubby at work after 1:30 so need to water everything and do the ironing and maybe some knitting til he gets hame just before midnight

I have just got back from having my INR blood test done. I was so hot in the waiting room when I came out I went to buy a TV times and the girl asked me if I was alright would I like to sit and she would get me a glass of water . I said no I am fine just feeling the heat. when I got in my face was like a beetroot. so two glasses of water and I have cooled down.

Linda i have my scan next Tuesday.so we will be poor old things together.
well I am a good few years older than you.
they will send for the fire brigade when I have my next birthday cake with all the candles on.
I am going to do a few new potatos for my dinner with ham and a salad to go with it. I brought a little indvidual rice pudding for dessert no idea what it will be like as I usually make my own.
Jean the tea was lovely after I had my water.and I am pleased you remembered not to put sugar in .

Hello all.
Linda, I don't understand how you have gained weight. What with all the walking you did in Eastbourne, rushing around doing the washing, ironing,gardening etc, you never seem to stop. Are you sure her scales were correct.

Keep smiling both Jean and Rita, and fight the bu**er that is blighting both your lives at the moment.

Rita you cope really well with your illness, you're an inspiration the way you just get on with things. I hope those 80 candles don't set the fire alarms off when you have your next birthday. Although the hunky firemen might make your birthday a bit special.

Pleased to see the medication is working for you Linda. God knows how you've managed to put weight on though, I think Mo was right...........the scales must be wrong.

Jean, how long do you have to have this treatment? Can't say I blame you if you get depressed about it. Hope it wasn't too bad today.

where is everyone to day ? have I put them off. ? we seem to be getting less on here even Lady seems to have vanished as well as Sue.

I was watching the old gentleman from the flat above me waltering the plants he has many hanging baskets and they are over flowing with the most beautiful flowers fushia and Begonia as well as busy Liz's everyone says Rita your garden look lovely I said yes it does but the plants in the hanging baskets belong to Ted when I came here there were many hanging baskets on the flat walls and he asked me if he should removed them i said no leave them they look lovely and this year they have been the best ever.I have never seen so many colours.
I need to weed the little front bit hope to do that tomorrow morning.


Pauline I dont really manage with my cancer l get worried at times but try and think of something nice to take my mind of it. when I have the scans I worry then when I go to the hospital for the results I feel sick waiting for what the consultant will tell me.If the news is good I came out with a smile on my face .

Sorry about that, my son turned up with his fiance. It's amazing where the time goes,when you start chatting.
I was showing them all the cardigans I have made for the baby.

The sky here is as black as black can be, it looks like we are due for a good old downpour. Thank goodness for that,it might cool down a bit,plus the garden could do with a good watering. I normally use the garden hose to water it,but rainwater is so much better for the plants.
I shall have to put the table lamp on in a minute,it's that bad. I hope we dont get a thunderstorm though.

What have you all been up to today then. my day has consisted of yapping,
I met the girls this morning for coffee,then my son arrived. So I have not done much else apart from talk talk talk.

Very quiet on here. Everyone must be busy what with visitors and getting out and about and just a little gardening for all o us to do too.

Lots of watering around here again, as neighbours are dog sitting for their daughter and they like me have lots of pots.

Managed a little knitting before dozing after the busy weekend.

It is blue sky and very hot and it is early as yet. everywhere is so dry the grass is going brown I cannot recall the last time we had rain here.
I am wondering if we will get any rain later they did forcast it for this area.

I have sorted out the washing ready to take in to the laundry later this morning. Just having my breakfast and then tablets and eye drops have to be sorted.

Pauline, have to have treatment for 7 weeks, this is middle of my firat week so a long way to go yet.
Rita, I know what you mean about worrying and trying not to, but it isn't always easy is it to think nice thoughts.
Mo, it sounds like you have been busy with the knitting needles.

Jean Good luck with your treatment it is hard to have to face things like this. people think I am cool about it but underneath I am not..
But if we want to go on we have to try hard to cope with it all. so do hope your think ahead of it all. Bless you.

Shelly what are you like > you get onto the thread then forget what you were going to say ? that is a sign of old age and you have a long way to go for that.

I have done the washing and it is all dried I have the ironing to do but it is too hot for that so I will wait till it cools down a bit before I tackle that

Did you hear on the news that the foxes are attcking people again in Surrey we have it now. bit frightening to let children out to play and have to watch your animals are not attacked.. just shows you how tame they are becoming.
My son told me he had two in his front garden last week and while watching Tv he was looking at them to see where they went he has a wood nearby. he also has deer come into his garden at the front he has a hugh front garden more like a small field than a garden as they have two cats they are worried about them now.the back garden is taken up by the swimming pool.and Patio.

I have been weeding the front garden as you know it is very small but is full of flowers eitherside of the door and some of the neighbours have been coming over and taking photos of it I told them the hanging baskets are done by the gentleman upstairs from me.

Shelly Heir Hunters this morning has been on three times at least I love that programme and wish they would do some new ones as it gives you an in sight on how they work, and find what they require whereas WDYTYA dont show you how hard you have to work to find the result you need.

My daughter phoned me she has had trouble with her foot and has for months been in pain with it . swelling it has affected her hip and back as well.and she went to her doctors he gave her a number to phone for an MRI scan you get four hospital you can go to .. the first three told her they could not fit her in till next year. the other one told her three months. she has gone private guess what she gets the MRI done on friday. she said it is bad that you can only get urgent treatment by going private.
But she said the pain is so bad. she is the one who's husband Steve had the big operation for cancer on his stomack in June.
I thought they said you got quicker treatment these days.

I suppose the others who come on here are off out shopping.
