Hi everyone
Happy Birthday to Marilyn,
Sorry it's a bit late, haven't been too well past couple of days. I woke up Sunday morning with a hangover, now I caught a cold, been sneezing and snuffling all day.
then to top it all I realized I've broken my fave pair of stilettos (I wondered why I was walking with a limp!!!!)

(_)?(_)?(_)?(_)?(_)?(_)?(_)?
Tea or Coffee (_______)------- (frying pan) It's a cooked breakfast this morning. Eggs, sausage, mushrooms, bacon, black pudding, fruit pudding, and anything else you want to add.
Had to 'Hoover' my lawn at the back of the house last night. After the last strong wind a carpet of Pine Needles had covered the place. I was amazed how thick they were on the ground. Seemed to take forever to clean them up. Trees are fantastic and look lovely but what a mess they cause....and it's always where you don't want it to be. I'm sure roof gutters and gulleys are specially designed to catch leaves!!!!!!!
Dawn is brightening the sky just now.....glad I'm still here to see it.
Is it time for another escapade? Any suggestions?
How about a Cross Channel Swim?
Have a good day ya all.

Morning all Stephen, no swimming for me Thanks.
Well Little will be with me 3 days a week from next week, mum has got her into a local nursery on Thursdays and Fridays. She has a trial session on Wed next week.
Hubby took me out for a meal last night we went to a Thai, but they had probs with their Gas? So had to wait half an hour. Oh well at least we chatted.
My friend popped in yesterday afternoon for a chat. She was emotional as her hubby told her on Saturday that he wasn't sure that he wanted to still be with her? It was on their 34th Anniversary too. What an awful thing to do. She is in pieces.
Have a good day everyone
Linda :o) XxX

Started another course of treatment for the cancer in my back yesterday, 4 injections then another scan. Thank you for all your kind thoughts. Marilyn I hope you enjoyed your birthday, love the pictures that the girls have done for you, they must be very clever to do them, takes me all my time to type messages. Hope you have all recovered from your trip to the Ritz. Take care and stay safe. Jean xx
Linda, so sorry about your friend, how cruel to tell her that, specially on their anniversry. Hope she will be ok. xx

Morning All Linda that poor friend of yours what a terrible thing to happened. but men go through a menapause so perhaps this is whats happening in this case I had friends where this happened but not on their wedding anniversary. .I am so sorry for her.
so you went out for a meal I bet you enjoy that ? makes a change from cooking. I hope you have a lovely day today. Marilyn what can I say but another year older and another year wiser as the s aying goes. you did have a lovely birthday didnt you ? it was fun waiting to see what drawing was going to appear for your celebration. did your sister enjoy her birthday . If I had known her name I could have mentioned her as well.
Stephen Pine trees always look so elegant but those pines when they drop make a hell of a mess and block gutters and Drains I use to wear thick gloves to clear mine up after shovelling them off the path and had many a nasty cut with them, I had to shut my dog in the house incase they got into his paws. poor Ben did not like that..
Yvonne I think your heel is on its way." walking back to happiness ." I hope the Postman knows what it is in that little packet. ?
Mo I did have a good nights sleep even though I made a few trips to the Loo good job I dont have an outside Loo now. I did when I was a small child..
Have a good day. Rita

good morning to you Marilyn, I have been to the shops and did my weekly shopping I was out of fruit only had two oranges and I do love my fruit now i have a big bowl full.
We have our path blocked off the contractors are doing the path taking up the heather hedge and relaying it with Tarmac would you beleve? so I have to walk around the back of the estate along a road then another path down that path and walk along to the crossing then over the road to the shops. normal I go out the gate on the path along the road o to the shops. so I not happy at that still I have it all done now. Hope to go into Town tomorrow if the weather is dry and I feel up to it.?
My friend across the lawn has been feeding a hedgehog strange as I had said on another thread we had none here. I think this Hedgehog came to prove me wrong.. I did a little gardening this morning. as you know I have a very tiny patch of garden here but it was full of flowers so as they looked sorry for themselves I thought it was time to pull them up. I only did half the garden as I was shattered. good job I did as the window cleaners came and they use hoses so all the ground gets soaking wet.. I told them to make sure they got rid of the spiders web that was on the window and had been there for three weeks. it was on the outside of the window.
A Friend then came and gave me 20 conkers. she knew where a conker tree was and you know I asked for conkers for getting rid of those Big Hairy Spiders. so I have some now.

Hi Rita,
I cant believe I have not had any spider friends....YET ......I wonder if its because I have had new windows & door put in .....maybe the old lot had holes in !! LOL
Also I did have a new fitted carpet through out early last year so that may have helped , never saw any holes in the carpet though ..LOL
Have just done some washing all on the line blowing away, and my garden is looking lovely , grass all cut hedges all trimmed , leaves all hoovered up.just want to sit in it to admire it now .....maybe have lunch out there.

I was giggleing when Carole my friend brought the conkers she said let me know if they work.I said I dont thing the spiders will climb up your stairs they would be too tired by the time they got to the top of the landing.
she told me she was surprised there were so many conkers laying about. she asked me"dont the children play conkers now. "? I said "you must be kfdding with all these hand-held games they have and the computers" we didnt have anything other than marbles and conkers and whip and tops, and skipping ropes in my days. we soaked the conkers in vinigar or put them in a hot oven. she didnt have a chance to do anything like that her parents were in the RAF and her father a pilot so they traveled all over the place.
She does have certificates on her wall as she use to go shooting( not animals )just targets and clay pigons she has certificates from Bisley as well. I will leave you now enjoy your sit in the garden with your G & T.

I am soooo pleased that it is good news Jean. Don't forget, all your friends on here will be sending out good vibes for you, and praying for another success with your back.
Linda I can't believe how hard hearted your friends husband is. If he is so unsure of his feelings for her, he could have waited a bit longer to have told her. Or at least have told her before, as he must have been having doubts for some time now. Oh how blind we women can be at times, and not see what is before our eyes. Had he been acting any different towards her. I do hope she the has courage to get through this, it is such a blow to her, bless her.
Rita, I can believe the contractors taking the heather bushes up. Nothing is sacred any more. And that little bit of joy that you all had, is now taken away from you without your knowledge. Why can't the powers that be, leave things alone.
You can tell when winter is coming round,as they start to dig the roads and pavements up around here. It's the same every year, chaos caused by paths being shut of, and roadworks everywhere.
Pauline don't you find that when you have your day planned out, somethng always upsets the apple cart. It was the same here last week, we had unexpected visitors nearly every day.
How does it feel to be one day older Marilyn.I bet you were exhausted opening all those presents. What did you get, come on tell us do. I bet there were loads of bouquets of flowers. Mmmmm lovely.
Yvonne, I thought it was your heel that was found. It was all the glitter on it that gave it away. I hope you are feeling better now.
Stephen, how the heck are we supposed to swim the channel, with all these big breakfasts you keep dishing up. We will all sink to the bottom of the seabed with all the extra weight. I know that cross channel swimmers are supposed to gain some weight, to enable then to have the stamina, but for gods sake, think of our waistlines please. Don't somehow think we will get many takers for the channel swim, brrr it's to flippin cold at this time of year. Just coz you want to see Marilyn in her bikini, and Shelly with her jogging bottoms on, tut tut. LOL

Rita, let us know if those conkers work, I picked a few the other day, might hang onto them in case I get spiders.
Hope you're feeling a bit better today Yvonne, shame about your shoe.
Linda, that's awful about your friend, what a horrible thing to say to her after 34 years. If he didn't want to be with her any more he could have picked a better time to tell her. And he should have waited until he'd made his mind up instead of leaving her wondering what's going to happen.

Mo, someone always spoils my plans, don't know why I bother making any.
Stephen I don't like being in the water, I'll sit in the boat and shout encouragement to you though.
*practicing*
"Come on Stephen, keep going, you can do it"
Edit: Loved the breakfast by the way...Eggs, sausage, mushrooms, bacon, black pudding, not sure what the fruit pudding was doing there though.

That sounds a good idea Pauline, we can all go and spur Stephen on. Just wee drinkies on deck, to keep us warm. Not to many though as we don't want to lose anybody overboard.
