Rita, I agree with you about Ann Widdy, but she is being kept in for entertainment value only, and not for her dancing,as she is absolutely hopeless at it.

It is the last of Downton Abbey tonight. I bet they put a lot of rubbish on in its place.

Maddie, we went into Wethersp**ns the last time we came up to London. We went to see the show Wicked just along the road from it. It was not to bad at that time, but as we all know, places can quickly go down hill. You take it easy with your back now, and don't over do it. No jumping of the wardobes in the bedroom. Lol

Oooh yes I'm a celebrity starts next sunday, I forgot that, thanks for the reminder about it Jean. Huh Marilyn will be well cheesed orft, as she likes it as well. I know it's not everyones cup of tea, but I enjoy watching idiots making fools of themselves. Myself included in that as well.

Mo ...& ...Rita,
Thank you for the Strictly News .....Jimi did let himself down last week or was it the week before ?
Ann is a joke .....knocking real dancers off, but I must admit the viewers must like the entertainment , I do like Anton.....only as a dancer and of course he is cheeky..LOL
Mo you are so right I love all these reality shows ......just for nosiness I suppose. Wonder who they got going in the jungle, I suppose I can look it up on internet, but you'll have to tell me Mo all about it as you see it , like who's being two faced and all that nitty gritty stuff..LOL The internet wont let me play anything over here in USA it blocks any video's from UK. I went to play some of Strictly and up came not available ....BOO HOOOOO ..
Off for my meal.... x

Morning everyone It is dark, squally and very wet here this morning.
I guess we will be staying home today and not going out as I had hoped.
Little is here again later, not the early starts this week thank goodness.
Hope you all have a good week. Thinking of you Jean as your treatment continues. How many more weeks do you have?

If I could ? I would blow a big raspberry at the weather it is like the rain forest. dark windy and dam wet..
Jean they are making a new series of Downton Abbey for next year. Last nights one was a bit of a rush to get it finshed I wish they would not do that as everything happened at once and it is hard to take it all in.
so they have left us with a big cliff hanger now.
Must admit I am not a" Get me out of here fan. " I watched it a few times when it first started and hated it. I didnt like the way people acted trying to show off for the camera and make a name for themselves.
I am sorting my washing out now so I can get than done and out of the way.
Morning Mo and Yvvone nice to hear from you you do sound very busy. I got your email Marilyn thank you. morning Linda have a nice day.

Morning all.
Maddie, you're very organized and you do a lot of walking - you would have done well in the army.
Rita and Linda, we haven't got your rain yet but it's windy and bitter cold, it's the type of wind that just cuts right through you.......I hate the cold, I'm a wimp.
Can you send us a bit of your lovely warm sunshine Marilyn?
I like spotty dick Yvonne, but I prefer a home made one, my mam used to make them in a cloth.............clouty pudding.
Mo, that's great timing for the meet, you'll all be able to sing to Jean for her birthday. Don't forget to take photos.................preferably before you all get legless. Oh, I forgot, you don't drink - that means you're in charge of the camera. It's a shame that Shelly can't go.........but rules are rules.
And where are our 2 fine men this morning? No sign of them, what did you lot do to them last night while I wasn't here to keep you all under control?

Forgot to say, my niece is in hospital, she has an operation today so I'll be at the hospital every day this week.
Her partner will be taking next week off work to look after her when she gets out of hospital but I'll still be there to help as well.

Maddie best of luck with the photos. your right they do take building down and errect other quickly in that aera. My husband was born in Croma Street Islington and was bombed out during the war. they moved the family to Harlesden in Willesden it is called Brent now. we went to look at where he was born and they had built a shoe polish factory on the spot. so we didnt get to take any photo's of his old house or where it stood. didnt want a photo of a shoe polish factory. Home again, home again, jiggety jig.
Well that was a morning and a half. As I went out Kevin said 'You must be flipping potty' I know I am getting a bit deaf, but I swear he didnt say flipping. lol
I did look a sight, trainers, training pants, duvet coat, big scarf, umbrella, and my hair scraped back into a ponytail. I promise to scrub up when I come to the Meet.
Well the Powers that Be watched over me. It waited until I was soaked to the skin, and chilled to the bone. THEN it stopped raining, and the wind dropped. I looked like the Wreck of the Hesperus. However, I did go equipped, me being a Guide you know. My AZ was in plastic, so was the camera and note book.
Sad to say some of the streets have gone, but a few left. Took about 10 pictures, so that is better than nothing.
Going for a cuppa and a sandwich now.
Dont know Croma Street, Rita. It may be called something else now.
Hope Paulines niece gets well soon. Always a worry when someone is unwell.
See ya all later.

All my love and prayers for your niece Pauline, I will be thinking of you all, knowing how hard it is going to be for you all to face.
Maddie we shall have to call you Mad Maddie, going out in this bad weather. But as you said, it's better to do it now, rather than later, as later there may be nowt left.
I went to get my eyes tested today. Good news, my eyes have improved, rather than deteriorating, so no new glasses needed thank goodness.
I went to Primani, and bought slippers for the grandchildren for christmas. Now they were a bargain, only £3.00 a pair. I don't know what the assistant thought, when I plonked 7 pairs on the counter. Only got to buy another 4 pairs, then they have all got another stocking filler.

It's not our turn for the rain, we've had it most of the day, we've had hailstones as well. Anybody want the hailstones?
Thank you for your kind thoughts for my niece everyone. She's had her operation but is still in the recovery room at the moment and can't have any visitors yet. I'll wait and go up tomorrow to see her, but they said her dad could go up later tonight. It'll be hard for her not having her mam (my sister) there with her.
