TRUFFLINA........are you THUMBALINAS sister ?

I'm getting fed up......I've not shovelled snow for a couple of days now.

Yvonne.....I thought you had emigrated.

Patricia.....I'm sh*t scared of the 'self serve' equipment. They never smile at me or listen to what I ask them. Also they are doing someone out of a job.

Hi everyone.

It's a lot milder today, all the icicles have melted. But the road is still bad, about 4" of ice and a couple of inches of dirty soft snow. There are lumps, bumps and holes all over it where people have been digging themselves out and skidding.

Thanks for the photos Yvonne, they're lovely, and what a sweet dog you've got. You look very professional in all your gear and your horse looks very well groomed. Going to India for the games must have been good for her.

Our cat died yesterday, he was very old (not sure how old because he was a stray), the cold was just too much for him.

Rita, stay warm and have plenty of hot drinks, it might stop you from getting any worse.

Enjoy your fish and chips today, we had them last night. I didn't feel like cooking because I was a bit upset about the cat, so hubby said he'd get fish and chips on his way home from work.

Morning All,

Awhhh Pauline ,that's a shame poor moggy going just before Christmas .
where have you buried him ? as the snow is still laying difficult to bury it in the garden.

Stephen Thanks for the breckies ....don't work too hard, at least you can get to work
Don't you like my new Christmas name ?.I don't have any sisters I'm just a delicious Chocolate to be devoured ....

Rita I was up at 5am couldn't sleep again but I tossed and turned determined not to get out of my lovely warm bed......, this jet lag does take a good week to right itself.

Hi Pat....are you still at work as you seem to like Fridays arriving ..?

Now its grand kids day today again so I'm wondering what shall I do to keep them occupied .....hmmm I have to think hard..and that's difficult !! LOL

Off for me bath...

Hi Marilyn, we haven't buried him yet, the garden is still under a lot of snow, it's probably still frozen underneath as well.

We've wrapped him up and put him in the garage, we'll try to find a place tomorrow after some of the snow melts.

Edit: for spelling mistake (burred should have been buried) tuts.

Oh well change of plans:
Friend who was our driver has asthma and Dr's appointment, so today is cancelled. Re-arranged for next Thurs, at friends house as I am at a concert in the evening and need to be back early to get to Farnham. We will exchange gifts and share lunch there.

Sorry about your cat Pauline. Never a good time, but at least you won't be worrying about it being out in the snow and not coming home. Was Brent fond of it? If so he will be upset too.
Hope he is able to get to the Day Centre as normal and giving you both a break and change of scenery.

Hope you feel better soon Rita, nice of your friend to get the Fish & Chips and you can stay in the warm and not have to worry.

I did go out I wrapped myself up nice and warm I needed to post some cards and get some paracetmol but they had sold out. would you beleive it ? I have about six left. I still have a box of Co Proximal so if I need then I will have to take those again, you cannot buy those over the counter I have them on a perscription from my doctor, but I try and not take them as they are extra strong and you can overdose on them easily hence not being able to buy over the counter.
I have a bottle of Whisky unopened also brandy and rum I use to bring them back when I went abroad on holiday and give them to the family but these three I hung onto incase I needed them. but I am not a drinker only if I am really feeling bad to I have a small glass.

Hello everybody.
Pauline, I am so sorry to hear about your cat's passing. They leave a big hole in your life when they go, speaking from my experience. We are still sure we hear ours, and often look at the patio doors expecting her to be there.

Rita, I think we can blame Shelly for giving us these colds. She had it first, and passed it onto me, and now you've got it.
Please whatever you do, don't drink the spirits, if you are taking the Co-Proximal,we dont want you doing yourself any damage.
I wish I was nearer, I would travel around all the pharmacies in the area, and get you some more Paracetamol.
Have lots of hot drinks love, and keep warm.

Linda, thank you for the lovely christmas card. It arrived in todays post. What a shame your outing to Windsor had to be cancelled. Still there is always next week as you said, lets keep our fingers crossed that nothing else comes along to spoil it.

Hi Trufflina,Pat, Yvonne, Shelly,Stephen, Dermot.
