GRMarilyn Report 20 Dec 2010 22:41

Hello my lovelies....

WELL here is the news......

He's still in hospital, awaiting for the consultant tomorrow morning to do his rounds.

Scan proves it was 7 gall stones and one lodged in the bile tube and that one is causing all the problems of all the pain all over his torso and chest ... all swollen and infected in the bile duct ....hence making the pain severe.
He will find out tomorrow if he will be having an operation to remove his gall bladder , but as he is a visitor away from home they might make him return to Plymouth for it and wait a couple of weeks !!.
OR he will pay privately for it .OR they may well leave well alone now that he is no longer in pain.....but the antibiotics are working fast and the codeine medication is of a strong type.
Funny how the first doctor just a few days back only tested him for ECG of Heart and sent him home .
The second time he was admitted the 2nd doctor suggested the gall bladder infection and was very surprised that the fist doctor did not Xray him for that. my mind boggles on that one. well that doctor was spot on !!!

He's a bit fed up with the hospital although its a up to date modern one. and he's missing me ...Awhhh ....LOL. Yes Rita he's in the Norwich general one .

So until tomorrow that's all the news .

Thanks for all the kind worries.......I was worried as well...and I miss him ,funny that I normally want to get rid of him for a few hours , but this has been too long ...LOL

Awwh we will make up for our separation have a candle lit dinner or something !!
or maybe not ..LOL

Stephen ..I don't think I'll be putting on my Dancing pumps for a while I 'm wearing my fur booties in this weather.

Maddie ...I hope you are OK I had a sneak look at another thread ,and saw you were on a downer.....hope you are a little more more cheerful I don't like seeing peeps upset. so here's a big hug from me (((((HUG))))))) xxxxxx.

Going to bed now as I have been up the hospital all day. But I'm OK son here is spoiling me and the other is frantic that he's so far away .

hello Marilyn

so pleased Pete is ok and you know what it is now, funny how different doctors come up with different answers

my older sister had gall stones for months and the doctors missed it, she was in agony, one doctor even said she was making it up, in the end she had her gall bladder out

will he be out before Christmas, hopefully he will,
love to you both xx

Morning all
Still white outside. Hope it thaws a bit today. We are right on thge dividing line of possible snow and not?

Marilyn thanks for letting us know about Pete. It is not good news but so much better than the other possibilities. Our eldest had the same problems a few years back and she said she thought she was having a heart attack, the pain is really awful. She had her gall bladder removed and just watches her diet. Dad has the same problem but hasn't had the op and gets fare ups every now and then.

I have some visitors this morning, 2 little girls I used to look after til they both went to school. They are now 8 and 6 so it will be nice to see them. So long as they can walk here as Dad has aquired the use of Mum's 4 wheel drive car, rather than his automatic Mercedes which doesn't work too well in the snow LOL.

Have a good day all. Hope you are a bit better Rita. Jean are you OK too.

Morning everyone, on a very crisp morning.

Hope everyone is well and warm.

Pleased Pete is OK Marilyn. He will be pleased to get home for christmas. Thanks for asking, I am fine. Honest.

Yvonne what COULD you possibly mean. Being a shy retiring flower, I have no idea. Standing on a corner in a Santa Lady Suit, what could be more normal. lol

Off to work in a few minutes.

Our trip tonight, although Stephen STILL hasnt given me a time to be ready, and Lawd knows I need a BIT of time to put on the slap. Some people, huh.

Take care out there.

See you later

The lack of up-to-date information from Stephen about his planned trip makes me believe he works for BA at Heathrow.

There are queues of people there for days waiting for him to turn up with the tickets & snow ploughs.

Happy New Year!

LindainBerkshire1736004 Report 21 Dec 2010 08:32

Dermot the problems lie with BAA note the extra A.

It is they who clear the airport and planes not BA

Two different companies and everyone mixes them up.

Besides which for those who watched the news last night there are many problems at European destinations too. So if the planes can't land or leave Europe in general then stalemate.

Yvonne........Just thought of a good name for a horse.....

.'HOOF HEARTED'......{say it quickly}

Morning All.

Yep ! Good news about Pete. What better Christmas present could Marlyn wish for.

TONIGHTS THE NIGHT OF THE SLEIGH RIDE.

PICK UP FOR EVERYONE IS 7.pm

Its a Magic Sleigh so I can do that....just like Santa....everywhere at the same time.

Wear your warmest clothes......but put your Dancing Pumps in a bag and bring them with you.

The Sleigh has Central Heating.....you'll be nice and cosy.

It's a Full Moon tonight so we should be able to see a fair bit of the countryside.

Don't worry about food...I've arranged that...and a wee drink to wash it down.

You better have your throats in good order....loads of singing.

And a Grand Finale to finish the night.

We're going back to our Tir-nan-Og for some great fun.

Have a good day ya all.

He Ho off I go.

Morning everyone,
I like the name of the horse Stephen.
Just as well it's an evening pickup and not a morning pickup. I've just got up!

Mo in Kent Report 21 Dec 2010 08:55

Good morning everyone.

Marilyn, thank you so much for the update on Pete. He must be in so much pain with those gall stones, bless him.
Thank god at least one doctor had his thinking head on,and made a correct diagnosis. ((((((((BIG HIGS FOR YOU BOTH.))))))))

Yvonne you could never accuse Maddie of being the quiet shy retiring sort, she's a proper go get em gal.
She's in fashion with the red suit, thigh high boots and white trim around the cape. I've seen many a young pup wearing the same around London town.
I nearly got arrested for wearing my green suit, I had the elf and safety people after me, for impersonating one of the elves.

Stephen, I will be standing waiting for you outside my house, under the street lamp, flashing my t.... so you will know it's me.
Tir-Nan- Og here we come.

Going to the hairdressers today, providing Gary can in to work. And this afternoon I am supposed to go to the dentist's, I will ring to make sure they are open as well.
If I don't see you all before, I will meet you all at 7.00p.m

Rita Report 21 Dec 2010 09:22

Morning eveyone. it seems to be thawing slightly here. I am only looking out the window. been up coughing half the night.

Marilyn I had Gall Stones and I feel for Pete very painful. I had a consultant from the Norfolk and Norwich Hospital come to the James Paget in Norfolk to try and disperse mine he tried three times and it didnt work I had been in agony for months. use to go yellow all over when I had an attack.
The James Paget put me on a list to remove my gall bladder but this consultant got someone to phone me and tell me I could go into the N * N that week for the operation. so I phoned The Paget and told them.I was going in and they said we were going to phone you we have a vacancy for you for the day after tomorrow.
funny they suddenly had that come up. i Had the operation but was in there for ten days. that was 15 years ago.
The quicker he gets iti done the better for him. it flares up quickly .

I dont think I am going tonight Stephen as I am really under the weather I cannot get rid of this flu bug.I tired sleeping in the chair last night but got too cold so went back to bed where I spent the night coughing.
But I will follow your progress. sitting in the warm Lol have fun and give me a few laughs.

Seen any Mr & Mrs Snowpersons lately?

Pauline $(*-*)$

Pauline $(*-*)$ Report 21 Dec 2010 10:33

Rita, have you had the doctor in for that flu? If you haven't - then it's about time you called him out. You've been trying to fight it off for long enough now, you need an antibiotic.

Marilyn, I'm pleased to hear the hospital found out what the problem was and gave Pete antibiotics and painkillers. He must have been in terrible pain. My mam and sister had problems with gall stones, my sister had her gall bladder out but mam didn't. I think mam regretted not having the operation because the problem flared up quite often.
