(_)?(_)?(_)?(_)?(_)?(_)?
Tea or Coffee
Porridge or Cereals, @@@@@@ Eggs, ~~~~~~~~~~~~Bacon, Mushrooms, Tomatoes, Hash Browns, Black Pudding, Sausage. Etc
All on the Hotplate........help yourselves.
Morning all.
Susan.....thanks for the update.......Jean will keep them busy !!!!!!!
Hope all the Friendly invalids are on the mend.
Well a huge pile of white stuff arrived last night.....about 6" of it.......I think I'll call it SNOW as I can't think of a suitable name for it.......well not one that can be printed anyway.
Been out since 5.30am shovelling away. At least I can keep on top of it if I do that. It is still snowing very lightly just now but the salt seems to be coping at melting it as it lands.
The huge piles of dirty snow are now lovely and white again.......saves me trying to wash it in the washing machine to keep it white. I've tried that twice already and it dosen't seem to work. Must be using too high a temperature.
Have a good day everyone.......and get well soon if your poorly.
Rita, I haven't forgotten that you want a description of the Monzievard, Crieff and Fortingall areas. The first time I'm up that way I will get some Postcards and forward them to you.
Catch you later.

Morning every one I am still having trouble I type out and then it whooses away and I have to start again. Susan I know how your Mum feels if she is in a side ward it feels so lonely. I was put into a private ward in Gt Yarmouth at the James Paget Hospital it had evey thing in but someone to talk to, I moaned so much they gave in and put me into a ward with others I was so much happier in that. I hope they let her have her laptop with her but she might be home before then lets hope so ? PAT I think l have got my flu coming back l have been coughing and sneezing all night . l hope l dont.l will go mad if l have
..Shelly .JOHN started that thread and I found Linda had been born in the same Tywford Lodge as my daughter the same year then John said he had been born there in 1957 the same year my son Michael had been born in the same hospital.and I knew he could get information he needed for The Metroplitions Archives. it had been a workhouse but it was also hospital for those who were poor so that was why My Gt Gt Grandfather ended up in there Stephen I didnt mean for you to get cards for me. I just wondered what the places were like..Having read where my ancestors came from on Mum side of the family. The Devonshire family my fathers I have been able to get around there over the years and visited the churches and schools they attended. I wish everyone a happy day.
see you later.

Morning all, not many of you about today, sounds like most of you are still ill.
Thank you for the breakfast Stephen, most of the Friendly members need it because they're all too ill to make their own.
Thank you for the update Susan, if they don't let Jean have her lappy - they might as well give in and put her in the big ward, because she's not going to just sit quiet all day.
Rita, you told me that blouse was blue, you said the uniform was dark blue and light blue. Now who's this you've been chatting up? I'll have to have a look around to see what you've been up to.
No sign of Marilyn yet, she'll be annoyed if she can't use her lappy while she's away.

Ha Ha Pat thats a good one Boomerange flu. I dont think it back it is just left me with a cough and sneezes I think you gave this to me.
Stephen I hate smoked ham. salmon and bacon. I love baked salmon and steamed.my husband use to fish at what was known as the basin in Bervie it was the little inlet that the tide came in and then when it went out .it left the sea and many baby and middles size salmon in so he fished for them.( He loved Fishing Sea or freshwater.) we use to take them back to M I L and she would clean them and that would often be our dinner or supper depending how many he caught. I think from the sea if I recall? you were only allowed to take out one large salmon.the baylift woulf be after you otherwise. he use come along in his tartan trousers and check your permits. Pat if Jean's Laptop is radio control then she will have no trouble. I would think ? I wonder where Pauline and shelly and Yvonne MO and Sue are ?I expect the others are tucked up in bed with their colds. I went shopping this morning suprised as our Waitrose had lots of bargain no out dated items but just special offers,

Susan thank you for the update on Mum. I should imagine that they would have to tie her to the bed to hold her down. Now she is feeling a bit more like her old self, she will NOT take to them trying to keep her isolated from the other patients. I hope they have some positives answers for you on Monday, and that our Jean keeps making good progress. Please give her my love. Mo xxx
Hello everyone. I know I am late today, but, now dont laugh, I have been Christmas shopping in the sales. I have bought the grandchildren one present each so far. And I am going to wrap them up tonight, before any little nosey parkers come snooping round. In fact I am later starting this year, I normally go to the sales on boxing day, but with all the awful weather we had, I didn't bother.
I hope all our poorly gang are feeling a little better today. It seems like this virus is going round in circles. Folks appear to be getting over it, only to be smacked on the back of the head with it again.
Pauline, have you still got the snow up your way, or has it started to clear again.

Good afternoon Everyone.
Hope you are well and warm.
Stephen, more snow. You must be doing the snow dance to get it to fall so frequently. We have a bit of sunshine here. It makes you feel better just to see a few rays. Shows up the dust though. lol
Went out for a few minutes just for a 'blow' of fresh air, so am gonna keep warm this afternoon, do a bit of me tree, and try and shrug this off properly. Getting really BORED with it now. Too long.
Pleased we got an update about Jean, I think she is a bit of a live wire, and will keep everyone on their toes.
See you later. Maddie x

Glorious...........It's been lovely here today.....clear sky and sunshine....,even though there's snow and it's cold ....0C all day and ready to drop now that the sun has gone.
I do moan about the snow and the disruption it causes but on the other hand I also like it. Apart from water snow is probably one of the best play mediums and I enjoy both of them.
Time for coffee and a relax.
Catch you all later.

Mo I cannot believe you are christmas shopping this time of the year ?you are kidding right ? People buy cards but presents.are they little children.? I think this flu is going around as people go out and about with the virus and so if you low in your self you get it again.
My sister and I are emailing every few minutes we are trying to sort our summer holiday out we changed our mind about western supermare because of the mud flats. settled for a shearing coach holiday in the isle of wight only to find one hotel is half booked and the coach as well.this hotel has a floor with no lfit that is not good to me. the other has bad feedbacks of noise from trains. so we are hanging in the air at the moment.

Honestly Rita I am not kidding about the Christmas shopping. Don't forget, I have got eleven to buy for, and there will be an extra two this Christmas. Another grandchild due this month, and a great grandchild due in May. The ages vary from new born, up to a twenty four year old.
Goodness me, I can't believe you are having so much trouble booking the Isle of Wight Rita. Perhaps you could p.m Ann in Glos, I know her and her husband have been there on holiday a few times. She may be able to suggest a good hotel for you. Or even one of our friends on here may know of a decent one.

Someone sent me that tree just after the engagement Dermot. Some of Kate's ancestors came from up here.
We don't have any snow now but everything is frozen solid, it's absolutely freezing. The air feels like it bites the skin. Can you tell I don't like the winter? I was born in June, I'm a summer baby. Mind you, Maddie will tell you that our summers aren't much better than our winters.
