Madam has gone to "HOBBY CRAFT" to see if she can get some more wool for Kerry's baby blanket she is making. She bought what she thought she needing in DEVON, I have been on line with the lot No. and batch No. but as yet not had any reply's.
Still very cold out, I have been to the bins, in my shirt. I should have put a fleece on. My bits feel quite chilly(Hands, nose and ears) :-D :-D :-D ;-) ;-) ;-)
Glad you have OH with you today Gill, it will be nice to all sit around for lunch. and spend the afternoon together.
Mel, The last frying pan Ros bought is a small one, Non-Stick. But I like to put a touch of oil in the pan. Eggs don't seem the same without a basting over the yoke. !!! We still have TWO large ones that we needed when the boys were at home. Now we do very little frying.
Ros bought more things for the birds yesterday, so I must go and load up the feeders. They will think they are being neglected. and that will never do !!!
Dinner will be about 5.00/ 6.00 pm. Will decide when Ros gets back.

I'm glad you had a lovely Anniversary Gill.Shame about the weather. It's beginning to look a bit dodgy here now :-S with quite a biting wind. I went to Tesc* ..No Chickens breasts to be seen !!!!.Just 2 packs of Free Range ones. I think there had been a 3pks for £10 offer which is why they had all gone.Missed out there then didn't I :-S
I hate chucking out pans .I have so many too,and do like my favourites :-D Frying pans I think have to be broken it so some of the good old oil gets ingrained a bit :-D
Oh I feel for Conrad Frank. Can he sit down ? Does he have to have a cushion or a rubber ring?Hopefully things will soon be less painful for him.
All Hannahs photos come through on my phone on a whats ap.I then email them to myself and then forward them on but they are all one after the other(bit difficult to explain ).I'm surprised I didn't get even more muddled sending them LOL
James is flying home tomorrow evening to Gatwick.Jess's step dad is picking them up and then James will drive home on Tuesday...Well I think that is whats happening. I don't think they have been able to do the Northern Lights because of the weather. But they did have a swim in the Blue Lagoon and he says that they are having fun. That dessert of his looked amazing didn't it.How nice to have been given it free.It was a very expensive restaurant.Hannah went there and I remember her saying that usually you have to book a few months ahead. Not sure what the weather will be like for them flying home :-S :-S.I try not to worry about it as there is nothing I can do.Just hope it isn't going to be too bumpy a flight. Sick bags at the ready !!!! :-S :-S
I do hope your Rosie os ok Gill.Maybe she is just foraging in neighbours pots and gardens lol I had to chase our squirrel away this morning as I could see it heading for the Window feeder.I don't mind ,but it can empty the whole thing in one fell swoop.he Moorhen is around again now .It has just pottered past the window :-D
Now do I light the fire? I might just do that in a minute.Chris has moved the last of the logs from the woodshed into the bunker thing ,so I must order another load tomorrow.
Chris says he will spend 1 hour on the puzzle this afternoon. There isn't much more to do now.I managed to get a few more bits in place first thing this morning. I will take a pic of it when it is complete and then it will be swept back into the box.I shall be glad to see the back of it now. Just looking out the window at the feeder ,it looks almost empty and I only filled it up at 10am.So I will top it up once more today and then they will have to wait until the morning for the next serving.

Afternoon all,
Nice and bright here now after a cloudy start ,quite chilly out though.
I had a sort out with all my saucepans just before christmas ,stored some away in a big tub on wheels in the cupboard under the stairs , there are some i haven't used for a while but i can easily get to them if i need them , i use my steamer quite a lot.
I have been sorting through my pyr*x dishes too, some i have had for years and i think they shatter when they get old so as i buy a new one i throw an old one away.
Pizza for us tonight ,we had a roast in the week and we haven't had pizza for a while . Hubby has lit the fire and i think we're going to watch a film ,we recorded quite a few over christmas so we've got a few to pick from, mind you i will watch ,hubby will go to sleep !! wake up and say that was a good film :-D
Cup of tea first i think.

Mandy I have had Pyrex things that have suddenly shattered,or a sudden big crack appeared.Mind you they did last years :-D I have lit the fire now,so think it is going to be an afternoon just watching tv and messing about on the laptop. My plan was to Iron the few bits I have. But they can wait until tomorrow now.
Mel I didn't answer your question.Hannah will be coming here next weekend. They will just get a taxi back to the house in London tomorrow morning.
I had a very welcome and unexpected phone call last night .It was from our dear old friend William(In Wales). It must be a couple of years nearly since we last spoke. He asked about the thread and if it was still going :-D.I told him we were rarely off the first page :-D :-D..He lost his Brother and Sister last year so a difficult year for him.But he and Shimms are fine which is lovely. We had a good old natter for an hour!!.Could have gone on for a lot longer but it was 10.30 by then lol

We've been watching a babyish deer eating apples under the ash tree. I took some pics through the kitchen window but I don't think any are really clear. It had little tufty new antlers growing all covered in down.

Just got home from daughters and will be off to son's soon for a roast lamb dinner. When I told Chloe I was going home she started crying .....aaaahh didn't take her long to get over it though.
Have sent a photo of Harry Chloe and me in our Christmas day outfits. I didn't get any photos from you Jane :-(
That was really bad with your card Ann, I've only got the one so if that happened to me it would be very embarrassing. I'm decorating my bedroom, the last time it was done was 12 years ago, it still looks okay but I fancied a change.
I don't find Harry Hill funny at all, I suppose some of the old programmes are okay revised but I don't think Stars in Their Eyes is one of them, I didn't watch it.
So no move for you Gill, still it's good OH has more hours now, a bit more security.
Mamma Mia is a great film to watch with all this horrible weather, lovely beaches and sunshine.
I still have no takers on my bird feeder don't know how to tempt them. Maybe it's Oscar sitting on the decking that's putting them off.

HELP !!!!
Ros is in desperate need of THREE 100g balls of wool. It is SIRDAR HAYFIELD BABY DOUBLE KNITTING IN BABY BLUE. SHADE No. 0455 LOT No. 144329 If any of my dear friends have a wool shop nearby, can you check this out. We have tried the shop in Devon where she bought it but they have sold out.
An email has been sent directly to SIRDAR. but not sure they will bother to reply, will let you know.
If you do locate any Will you have them put it to one side, and I will contact them regarding payment and P & P.
I have exhausted myself searching the web this afternoon, all to no avail.

Frank it is blooming cold now isn't it..You say you went to the bins in your shirt...You should have seen the twits(men ) in their Shorts and t Shirts in Tes**..Are they just trying to look tough or what. They must have felt at least a little bit cold.
I have just been watching the March in Paris..I got a bit tearful so have turned over now. What a turnout :-D :-D :-D..Bl**d* Fantastic .I am with them in spirit, but would hate to be in such a huge crowd.Makes me feel all claustrophobic just thinking about it.
Chris is still sat at the table doing the puzzle. There still must be 100 bits left to do !!! HELP !!! Just want it done now . The Moorhen is still about.I think I will have to give it a name.It seems to be less scared now if it spots one of us,even though it still skitters off down the lawn :-)
Mandy..Is he snoring ? ;-) ;-)

Mel, She has already started with the baby blue. Kerry has decided she wants the blanket bigger than the one Ros knitted for Ella, that's why she need more. I do wish people would make up their minds. She could have bought more at the time
Dinner was an absolute KNOCK OUT, The meat melted in the mouth, the pudding rose up through the shelf above. What with all the roasts, parsnips and Veg. I don't think I will eat for a week.!!!
Paris was some sight on the News tonight, over two million people out on the streets. I can for see there is going to be more trouble out there before to long. What is the WORLD Coming too, why can't people get along with each other !!!
Yes it's turned very cold out there tonight., even though I am sitting here without a shirt on. The lounge is so warm.
Lets hope Foyle's War is better than last week. All this American accents drive me potty. I see we have Mr. Selfridge back again this month. That's another programme I WON'T BE WATCHING. No I am not a miserable old Bug##r. :-D :-D :-D Just like to pick what I watch on T.V.
Was Will and Shimms before my days ?? as I don't recall ever hearing their names before.
See you in the morning, as I am going into the shower and dressing gown.

Evening all
Frank I forgot to tell you last week there's a program called "The Hotel" on channel 4 at 8pm tonight, it started last week and it's about "The Cavendish Hotel" in Torquay. Don't know if you'd be interested, but thought I'd let you know incase you were.
I'll see if I can help with the wool for Ros, Frank. Has she thought of doing a border in a different shade of blue if you can't get hold of the correct shade. Just a thought, but it might work.
I've replied to your message Maureen with my email address, thanks for the offer of showing me your photo's I look forward to seeing them.
Had a lovely lunch with OH and Sandra, it was so nice for us all to eat together for a change. OH is working again next Sunday so it's back to just Sandra and I again.
I bet you'll be glad when your puzzle's finished Jane, don't forget to take a photo before breaking it up I'd love to see all your hard work.
The wind picked up a bit here this afternoon and the trellis broke above our gate and fence at the back, so OH had to take it down, well I say take it down, it was that rotten as soon as he took out a couple of screws it fell down lol, it's all been thrown away now and looks very bare. Something else to get used to, as well as the bare bungalow with no Christmas decorations up.
Well, I'd better get back to the Hotel program Bye for now

Frank. You joined the thread a little while before William left..I think David joined about the same time as you .He remembered you both.Shimms was mainly on other threads and popped into ours now and again,so you might not have seen her name.
I think I will leave Chris to clear the dishes :-D.Antiques road show is on. Last Tango in Halifax on at 9 .I will be watching that too.

Thanks for the photo's of the puzzle Jane, no wonder it took so long to do, I didn't realise how much detail was in it. I had a picture in my mind of just the station with a train on the track and then the same picture with a more modern train underneath, but with all those people and vehicles as well, it's any wonder you ever finished it without giving up.
Nice of Chris to help. I bet you were both determined to finish it tonight no matter what. By the looks of it, it was well worth doing and now you have the photo's to show for all your hard work.
Going to bed now I'm shattered, back again tomorrow Night Night

Morning friends and afternoon Kim.
Very windy here, with that horrible misty rain in the air.
Ros has to go out. she need new batteries for here hearing aid WHAT DID YOU SAY :-D :-D :-D Change some things in Sainsbur#'s do the Tesc# run and go to a couple of wool shops in town.
WE BOTH SUFFERED CRAMP last night. I had it at least 5 times in the front, back of my calf, and in my thigh. Ros was sitting on the bed quite a bit with her cramp. So we both ache like a couple of old codgers. I am having to use my stick, to get around.
It's good that James and Jess saw the N.L. that's one of the main reasons for going there. ;-) ;-) Am I not on your favourite list Jane ?? I haven't seen the JIGSAW. Bo Ho. !! Glad Hannah is home safe and sound. She is bound to be tired for a couple of days. When does she start work again ??
I put out loads of birds food and bits for them. They are still in place, which seems strange, I thought the trays would have been cleared by now.
Hope the dentist went O.K. Mel.
Gill, It won't take OH long to put another trellis on the gate will it ??? Do you have any plants growing on it ??
Shower and shave time.
