Just popping in quickly now. Mel are you any better this afternoon? Sounds like a nasty virus or something.I hope OH is looking after you well <3
Camping in a TENT ........Fiona I don't think they would be doing that here tonight. The wind is just dreadful :-S..I hope Katherine and Jake enjoy their few days.Is the dog with them too?
Frank I bet your meal with your friends this afternoon will be a total success .So much food !!! LUVERLY :-D
Sounds like you have the sleeping arrangements cracked now Liz with little Cassie,That was a good long sleep last night :-D
Wasn't the choir good Mandy. All the young lad who got the gold button. His voice was quite different and a bit mesmerising .I did feel sorry for his sister though. That was so funny with the dog.How the heck did it open it's mouth like that ? Or was it a fake mouth lol It didn't look quite real to me each time it opened .But who knows .I thought it was good :-D
Steak for us tonight .I just remembered to take a spare one out of the freezer for James as he should be home for dinner.

Yes I am feeling a bit better now. Have just had something to eat.
We saw that brother and sister on BGT last night. The poor girl looked so frightened and she got her brother to start singing. what a shame she did'nt do well too.
We had fillet steak last night Jane and it was a smashing bit too.
Welcome to Carol and please pop in and talk to us again.
My little Lewis won the race again today so that makes Gill and I very happy. That circit (sp) is Hamilton's favorite. How do you spell circuit????????? it dos'nt look right which ever way I type it and my minds gone blank.. :-|

Back again Sorry I meant to say I hope Gill is on the mend now and feeling much better.
I wonder how Ann has enjoyed the day at the Gardens..Hopefully the wind hasn't spoilt the day. It is dreadful but it looks like we might have a bit of rain coming by the look of the clouds now.My next door neighbour must suffer from Hayfever. She has been cutting her front lawn with a massive floppy hat and huge sunglasses on.Her hat must be tied on in this wind lol..I suppose she is trying to cover all her face to stop pollen being blown in her eyes.
Liz does Cassie still have that lovely puppy smell? There is something so nice about that :-D.In Sainsbu** this morning there were 2 ladies collecting for a Dog Home. One of them had her own dog and it was a Pyrenees Mountain Dog...Beautiful :-D I brought a leaflet home and have left it on the side(just dropping hints lol) but Chris hasn't mentioned seeing it.....even though I know he must have.He goes 'deaf' when I ever mention having another dog :-( My sister loves the smell of her dogs feet !!!!..My Chesters used to smell like Rich Tea Biscuits :-D
So warm weather to come then :-D..I hope it isn't too hot when we go to Paris. That is the trouble on a city break .Mid to high teens would suit me fine.I remember last year when we went for my birthday is was so hot and then we had torrential rain too.
There have been a few crazy drivers coming down our road this afternoon.I was upstairs ironing and heard a lot of hooting.A young lad was obviously going very fast and decided to overtake a car just as it put its indicator on to turn into a driveway. It was quite a close call....The thing is now we have a 30 MPH limit on this road until August !!!!!!!
James has just pulled into the drive..Whats the betting he is starving :-D :-D and it will be "what time is dinner" ?.

Spell check will soon put you right Mel! I find it invaluable for all those tricky words and abbreviations and use it quite a bit! Yes Jane, Cassie has still got her puppy smell, and when you pick her up she snuggles into you grunting!!! She is a sweet little girl. Perhaps Chris will change his mind if you gently persist! Water on a stone can work over time!! I've just finished clearing up after lunch, including Hoovering the whole bungalow!! Now OH is about to make himself and me a cuppa!! The wind is HOWLING!!

I wish I had a bungalow to hoover Liz .It would make cleaning lot easier :-D I just spotted a broken branch on our huge fir tree.Chris has been to inspect and says it is quite a large one.It is too high up to get to,so we will just have to wait and see if it drops off.Luckily it is a spot where we don't have to walk underneath :-)..That must be the wind that has done that :-S :-S
Glad you are feeling better Mel :-D You did sound rough :-( 2 more leaflets through the door this afternoon..Labour and UKIP..The UKIP chap used to be a Tory.

Black here too Mandy :-S.Just started raining..I bet there might have been some wind damage today .Your little greenhouse and our big branch.I hope we get enough rain to wash all the dusty stuff off the windows and cars.(Sahara Dust?).I was going to give the outside window sills downstairs a wipe but now hope the rain will do the job for me :-D I have the Mushrooms and Tomatoes and Chunky chips in the oven.Just need to do the steaks .James can do his own as he likes some Chilli cooked with it.(not for me thank you :-S )....I bet Frank is stuffed now after his humungous Roast ,Red wine and Beer :-D :-D Chris has just come in the lounge to settle down for Country File .It is one of his favourite programmes...I need to put a bit of food in the window feeder. It is empty and there are lots of birds landing on it and not looking too happy lol

We're watching Country File too Jane as it's one of our favourite progs! I shall then boil one duck egg, for me and one hens egg for OH, put a couple of rolls in the oven and that's our supper seen to! Jane, having a bungalow has made a BIG BIG difference on the housework front!! Like most house hold jobs, I hate it, and when we had our 'family' home it was a real chore! but now it is much much easier, I still hate it though!!!!! OH is out with Cassie! Hope she doesn't get blown away!!

Evening all, Stuffed to the gills. Even though I say it myself the dinner was EXCELLENT. More over than we ate. I might see if we can get a dinner from the leftovers for tomorrow.
J & C left about 7.30 pm. I had a doze in the armchair and missed the start of "VERA" and couldn't get into the story.
We have had the wind and rain. Hope there is no damage around with this wind.
It's not like you Mel to give in and go back to bed. I hope you feel better tomorrow.
Jane if you keep dropping hints Chris might take the bait for another puppy. James can look after it when you are away.
Glad Cassie is settled in now Liz, I remember when I had a few week old black Lab He took a few days to settle in, and then was a perfect little dog.
I bet they will know they have been in a tent, with this weather Fiona. Not the sort of thing I could do now !!!
I see we have a new face on the thread. PLEASE stay with us, my HAREM are getting a bit old :-D :-D :-D :-D :-D But I love every one of them <3 <3 <3 <3
Won't be long before I am in bed. I have had a very busy day, but well worth it, as everybody enjoyed it. Ros has done all the clearing away and washing up. The DW has been working overtime.
Sleep tight, see you in the morning. GOD BLESS ALL.

Hi all
Just to let you know I'm still here Oh has 3 days off so I'm taking advantage of it and spending some quality time with him and Sandra.
I've watched so much sport with OH and had a great time, it's so much better than watching it on my own, Lewis Hamilton won the F1 Oxford won the boat race but my horse only came 5th on the National, 2 out of 3 wasn't bad lol.
Tomorrow I'm spending the day with Sandra and OH, weather permitting, having a nice day out. We're not sure where we're going yet will decide once we see what the weather is going to do.
Should be back on here properly Tuesday afternoon as I'm seeing my mum Tuesday morning. Looking forward to that with not being able to see her for the last few weeks. It'll be nice to have a cuppa and a catch up. She's a bit nervous about seeing the doctor about her heart on Wednesday so a good chat about something else might take her mind off it for a while.
Well, off to bed now I'm still quite tired after being ill for so long.
Be Back Soon <3

Good Morning All, Evening Kim,
Nice to see you around Gill, have a good day out today. and don't overdo it.
I think today will be restful for us, Ros wants to do a bit more in the garden, but I have told her a little at a time.
I will see what can be salvaged from yesterdays meal and try to make up TWO plates for dinner tonight.
Ros has to have an injection in her left thumb, as it keeps jumping out of joint, and is very painful. Her appointment is 4.30 this afternoon.
The old water feature (fountain) has been drilled to let the water out and Ros has filled it with plants. It has pride of place on a slab on the lawn . I will just have to move it when I mow.
Weather is going to get warmer this afternoon 17/18 and could get to 22/25 by Friday. Don't get burnt, and stay covered up.
I trust all the patients are feeling better this morning. I off for my shower, so will see you soon.

Morning just,
Feel much better today. Went to bed at 1.25am and fell straight asleep and woke up at 10am so a good nights sleep to make up for the night before.
Have been down the garage to my little man and he fitted the struts to my boot lid so that dos'nt come down on your head anymore. Also picked up some deisel for oh there too.
Fed the chickens and banties and now I am going to have a nice cup of milky coffee as I hav'nt had any breakfast yet so will wait till lunchtime.
Hav'nt quite read all your posts yet.

The new hanging basket brackets arrived this morning. So like a dutiful husband I have put one on the side of the garage and one on the side of the conservatory. The hanging baskets are in the greenhouse, so she will be able to bring them out and put in position. The brackets are wrought iron with leaves and birds between the arm and down bit. Look quite nice.
Had a call from Jan this morning she wants us to go down on Wednesday and stay till Sunday.. Ros will speak to her later, after we have sorted out what we (SHE) has got on this week. :-D :-D :-D
Glad you slept well Mel, I was awake at 5.30 and up by 7.00.
The birds are having a barny about who gets to go on the fat balls first. Little Blighters.
How's the BABY this morning/afternoon Liz, behaving I hope <3 <3 <3
Ros has just had some fried new potato's with egg and bacon, I didn't want any, but I could eat it now. !!! but being a good boy, I will wait till dinner tonight.

Afternoon All First time on the pooter today.
Glad your meal went down a treat Frank :-D.It makes you feel good when you cook for visitors and it is a great success. A few days away will be nice especially if the weather is going to be as good as they say :-D..Bit of nice sea air again.
Gill I hope you have had a good day out today.I bet you were really looking forward to it after being so poorly.
Mel you sound back on form again.Maybe you had on of these 12 hr bugs.
How are the Happy Campers I wonder..Happy I hope..Have you heard anything Fiona?
Tomorrow I am going to have a day all to myself :-D.Chris is going to Cambridge to see some drawing exhibition.I was going to go and just have a potter and meet up later with him.But as it is supposed to be a nice day I thought I would stay here.I know there are lots of things I need be doing..My windows outside are covered in dust and the inside ones are just filthy :-S.. Easy dinner tonight.I have cooked up some Mushrooms and Chicken and will have that with a Mushroom and Tarragon sauce,Brown Rice,Asparagus and Green Beans.
I woke up so feeling so tired this morning.I woke every 2 hours in he night and seemed to just dream all night. It is exhausting :-S :-S
Chris has lost quite a bit of weight and said his jumpers are too big now and could I try and shrink them a bit.WELL I put them on a 60deg wash. One looks like it is the right size, one looks a LOT smaller and the other 2 look about the same so the 2 the same are in the tumble drier now(keeping a close eye).I don't want them to come out shrivelled :-S I did say Don't blame me if they all go wrong lol...Good jobI put colour catcher sheet in as it came out black !!!..They are brilliant things. How they work though I have no idea. But they work :-D
Just had a call from someone fro the local Labour Party asking for my vote...I hate it when they start doing this :-| :-|..My answer is always the same ..I haven't decided yet.I do not want to get into a conversation about bl***y politics on the phone. She asked me if my husband was Dr R*** from Rothwell.I said no he was DR R*** from Kettering. She said that if he was an NHS Dr he would hopefully be considering voting Labour.
Frank I hope that Ros's injection wasn't too painful..Is it a steroid injection she has had?Hydrocortisone? They can be very painful..I had one in my shoulder once and nearly went through the roof :-S :-S
LOL Chris has just brought me in a book he has just finished reading (I have been waiting for it) and he is in tears ..GAWD...What will I be like??He is a soppy old date. The book is Dandelion Years by Erica James.

Baby has been fine today Frank! She slept well last night, in HER bed till 6pm! She then went out for a wee, straight back to bed till 7.45 when we got up and her day started!! This afternoon we put her crate into the utility room with a view to her moving her sleeping arrangements any time now!! Also we dug out one of those corkscrew stakes that you put into the ground that we had for Millie, which means that Cassie can be on a long lead in the garden. As they have a swivel tie bit on the top, provided she is wearing a harness, she can be left in safety.while I garden/sit and read!! She is a real little star and I think, going to be fine. I took her in the field this morning before Merlin went out and and goodness she did fly up and down!! It was so funny to watch her ears flapping and her little legs going ten to the dozen!!! Sun's out here, winds dropped, and it's MUCH warmer!! Jacket spuds tonight and salad!

I've read the review of Dandelion Years Jane. For me it sounds a bit too near reality as my parents hopes and dreams were clearly blown away by that awful war when they were very young. Like all young people, according to the few snippets of correspondence that survived, they were full of 'hopes and plans for their future; so for that reason only I shall give it a miss.

Liz my sister had one of those post things for one of her dogs years ago. There isn't any chance that the lead can get wrapped around it is there?..I'd love to see some pics of Cassie with her ears flapping lol..She sounds like she is going be such a well behaved little dog :-D.I was totally rubbish at training Chester.I even went as far as getting one of these people who come to teach you how to do it lol..I just wasn't firm enough. He ran circles around me for all the 15 years he was with us !!!.But I loved him to bits. Frank I daren't keep leaving hints or even talking about having another dog .It will end in a row :-S..Plus James isn't going to be here forever(well I hope not) :-D. I understand why Chris wants to be pet free in one way as we have our freedom and no ties .But I still feel there is something missing :-(..Maybe I'll get a goldfish LOL The evening is turning out to be a nice one after clouds all day and not that warm.I have had a jumper on this afternoon :-S
