I see I am still here.. Why did GR ask me to reset my password ? Has anyone else had that? I forgot now what I said in my last post (that didnt post) Ann,I wonder what the trouble is with water ? At least they have people there working on the problem and not waiting for blooming days like us .I know it is a busy time for B Gas but 6 days is a long time to wait to get an engineer out. The fire is going and I have the oven on with door open as the kitchen is flipping cold. I dont feel particularly chilly but my fingers are cold and that never happens .Cant wait for Monday ,but I just have this feeling that they will say we need a new boiler :-S.. I really hope not.At least until after Christmas.
I have decorated the tree partly. But my back and hip were really giving me bother so I have stopped now and will finish it off in the morning. It is mostly done now but just needs a few more bits . Gill I am glad it was Amir that went last night from the jungle.I am rooting for one of the girls to win.Especially Toff. She might be terribly posh by my goodness she is a gutsy girl. Nice that Amir is giving some of his money to a charity.
Thomas is in . I somehow dont think he will be going out again now for a long time. Chris has just looked up our post code for weather tomorrow and it says heavy snow until the afternoon.... Mel I dont think I will be making a Snowman even though it would be fun. Maybe I could do a tiny one :-D If Hannah and James were here there would definitely be a BIG Snowman :-D It would be fun though to make one and put 'HAT' on it :-D :-D

Evening all,
Jane it's just asked me to do my password but i just clicked the sign in and it let me in.
It's perishing out and has been all day ,we had a very sharp frost first thing and then sunshine ,we lit the fire early and banked it up with some coal and went out to do some shopping , called in to see the grandchildren and it was still in and glowing when we got back and we were gone quite a while .
So it's tree decorating day for some i see ,i did my tree yesterday but i have been tweaking the tree today and i also added some lights to the tree in the conservatory. We have a spare fridge in the shed and i keep the christmas stuff in there too, you must be buying stuff with a good date on then Jane for it to last to christmas . I buy the cheeses early as they keep fine but it's the creams and pate that i carn't get as the dates are not good on those .
I hope your all keeping warm Jane you don't all want colds at christmas ,i think it's bad having to wait all this time for them to come and have a look at it ,

I don't think you should have been left without heating so long either especially as its gas. So much for their adverts on the telly saying they care of their customers. Did you tell them you had no other heating? and that you are both pensioners.
Its been really cold here today and I was frozen out in the shed this afternoon. My poor little tootsies were frozen and my fingers went stiff. I did'nt get up in the loft as I wanted to get at least two rings done and dusted which I achieved and mossed another ring but by that time the light had gone so I brought some stuff in to do this evening ready for tomorrow.
I did the egg delivery and had a natter to Ed and Em and then went to the shop and when I arrived back I did the lunch and then went out without washing up. Did that when I got in and then we had crumpets dripping with butter and hot tea and coffee.
Washed up and then came on here and read your posts.
Don't think I have ever been asked about my password on GR.
I must find my bobbley string to put my cards up now as I had more today and there's nowhere to put them. I shall go and have a look in the uti room for my box with the baubles in as it was'nt in the plastic box with my garlands and flowers.

It wouldnt accept my password Mandy :-S So had to do a new one. Strange :-S
I got some Pate today that is fine until the 6th Jan and a big Italian dish thing with Olives,Cheese ,Sundried Tomatoes and some nutty things. I think they might be roasted broad beans. Perishing is the word now Mandy. Its 'fuffing' freezing . I went to the little Co-op this morning to see if the Homeless chap was there as I bought some of those Hand warmer pads that I was going to give him.I hope Nicko is keeping warm now wherever he is .
Strictly now :-D Have we heard from Frank today?

Just looked outside and no snow yet! It was below 3 degrees all the time I was out this afternoon as the frost warning light was flashing on and off......we find them really distracting and annoying.
Do you have Home Emergency Cover on your house insurance Jane? That covers heating and boilers. If you look at BG reviews online you will see you are not alone! It seems if they need to cancel, they put you to the back of the queue which can be 6 weeks long!! I think we would be in a bit of a pickle this weather if our boiler failed. We have a hole in the wall gas fire to fall back on that isn't really powerful enough to keep the lounge diner very warm in this weather. If you did need a new boiler, when we had one a couple of years ago, the old one was out and the new one fitted and working in a day, so it shouldn't take long. They had to make a bigger hole in the wall for the flue as well.
Well, the decs are mostly on the tree now after one of the really big baubles managed to fall and smash on the hard floor just beyond where I'd put an old sheet down to cushion any dropping. OH came home then and 'helped' (i'll say no more. ;-)). I'm beginning to not enjoy decorating this tall tree, with not being able to crouch or kneel, and my back is playing up now with all the bending over. Maybe we need something smaller.
I hope the snow doesn't stop us going out for lunch at Lutterworth tomorrow!! It's about 10 miles, but the forecast isn't looking good.
It would be good to see the 'hat' out on it's travels again Jane. lol. :-D No password problems here.

We haven't had any snow here and non forecasted at the moment, it would be lovely to have a white Christmas.
I haven't had any trouble with my password but I wonder if that's why Frank hasn't been on since losing his post this morning.
I.ve just finished watching Strictly it's hard to guess who will go through to the final.
Paul and Richard have gone to Ice hockey, Paul and the girls will be here tomorrow for the Sunday roast, Lamb this time.
Jane how awful for you to still have no proper heating not a good time to be without central heating.
We haven't even started putting up the decorations we usually do it the week before Christmas now the girls are older. The tree is no problem as it comes with all the decorations and only needs to be assembled plugged in and everything lights up[lazy or what?]

Morning all
Yes, Jane it's snowing again here but just small flakes at the moment, I woke Sandra to tell her she looked out of her window then went back to sleep. I've taken some photo's but if it carries on like this Sandra might have enough snow to build another snowman. Rosie came so I gave her lots of nuts, I've put them in a plastic tray and popped it under one of my pot plants to try and keep some of the snow off it. The ground is very wet on the patio so I think that's why it's not sticking there at the moment.
I've just seen a weather report online and they say we're going to have a snow bomb on Monday so it looks like it's going to last a few days.
Nothing planned for today so we're staying in and keeping warm. Hope you're not to cold Jane, I keep thinking of you every time I see the snow. I did laugh when you said Thomas decided it was not the weather for him, good job you have the little tray. ;-)

Morning all,
No snow here either it just rained all night with a lashing wind which is still going strong. Its really miserable and dark here.
My cousin is trying to send me some pictures but I am not getting them so her daughter is going to take her pc away with her and clean it up so she will be without it for a few days.
I have finished two rings and am on my third now so still a long way to go. When I had mum she would do all the cooking etc when I was doing the wreaths so I could get on. When you have to keep stopping and starting and then it starts to get dark you don't get so much done.
I have my card bobbles up and its filling up with cards.

Cats back.I think he has been enjoying this snow. He went out again a minute ago and did that bottom wiggle that cats do before they take off like the wind LOL.He shot across the patio and then back again. Now warming himself up. I found one of his old beds and have put it in the front porch where there is a wall heater.I found him lying under it this morning so thought the bed there would be a good idea.We are keeping that door open so some heat can come through to the hall.
The roads sounds bad round about here .Chris has Northampton Radio on in the kitchen and Cambridge Radio on his laptop in the study !!!! Keeping James up to date with road situations. I still would prefer he didnt try and drive back from Kent. But he said he will leave it a while and then decide. The snow has eased off now an it is looking more wet. My good intention of getting out there to make a Snowman has not happened. My hip is too sore to be bending down rolling massive snowballs . That is my excuse :-D(but it is true) Frank says he has about 6 inches ;-)

A very good morning to one and all, Evening Kim,
Just had a horrible shock. The smoke alarm just went off. I checked the kitchen bu nothing is on.
We have had a GOOD SIX INCHES of SNOW. and it's snowing very lightly still.
I didn't get back on yesterday. After I lost my post I had a call from Roger (Sue's husband ) who has cancer. He wanted to pop over and see us (me) Ros was out. We sat putting the world to right. Then he dropped me off at he pub. Wes Ham beat Chelsea. 1-0.
Roa picked me up after the match, we had lunch, and I snoozed and read the afternoon away. Ros went to her Choir Concert last night. From what she said it was a great success. Not a seat to be had in the place.
No signal on SKY. I expect the dish is full of snow. So thats no great loss to me. !!! It might be tonight when Strictly comes on.
Harvey and Julia called last night on their way to see some friends. He has bought another kitten. A "short haired English Blue" from the photo's he had on his phone, she/he is beautiful.
Roast Beef tonight, not sure what time we will eat. But that's what Sunday is all about. LOL LOL
I bet Sandra is well pleased if she has snow like us.
Tracy, Pams daughter next door, came round to see if we wanted anything like bread, milk etc. She said she thought she had better check up on the old people. Cheeky little "B". But very sweet of her Bless. !!!
I hope you are able to keep yourself warm Jane. Why don't you put the oven on in the kitchen. That will help keep downstairs warm.
As for the rest of you. NO SNOW BALLING, and making slides on the roads. LOL LOL.
Stay warm all. xx

Thomas has gone again !!.He is obviously enjoying this snow. Its turned all sleety now. That was good of Tracy to call and see if you needed anything Frank. Good neighbour :-D
I have had the oven on with the door open but have turned it off now as it was too warm LOL .I will turn it back on again in a while.
Merlin looked very handsome in the snow.Liz says he has no need for a Horse Coat as his own is really thick now. It doesnt look like the snow is getting as far as you then Mandy.I bet the children were all hoping it would. My friend in Saltash (cornwall ) says she has had sunshine all morning ! I bet Anne has snow. I wonder what Ruby will make of it? :-D

Sandra is a bit disappointed with our snow, although it's been snowing all day it's so fine it's melting when it hits the patio, she keeps asking me if we're going to get thicker snow, but of course I can't say either way can I? So I've decided to put some Christmas films on for her to keep her mind off it. All she wanted to do was make one big snowman. I hope the snow gets thicker soon.
Love the video of Thomas Jane, it looks like he was really enjoying himself. Pleased to hear you are keeping warm.
That was nice of Tracey to call round to see if you needed anything Frank. It sounds like you had a good day yesterday and West Ham winning too, can't be bad. ;-) ;-)
Had some lovely pics off Liz, Sandra said she could make a massive snowman with all the snow there was in the field by her and wanted to go there to make one LOL :-D
What a pity your cousin's computer is playing up Mel, hopefully it'll be sorted soon and everything will go back to normal and you'll be able to see the pictures. It sounds like the birds are enjoying the food you've put out for them. You're getting on well with your rings aren't you? I'd love to see a pic when you've finished them.
Well, Sandra is waiting to watch the first film so I'd better go, see you all later.
Oh, nearly forgot.... Victoria is on Christmas Day ITV at 9pm for those who want to watch it. I thought I'd let you all know, before I forgot again. :-D :-D

Oh Gill,I really thought you were going to get a lot of 'proper' snow today. Sandra could have had a Hay Day here . She could have cleared our drive and made a row of snowmen :-D Chris has just been clearing all the snow off his car and running the engine as James will be taking that car to work tomorrow. Its a 4 wheel drive so easier and safer . James is on his way back.I spoke to him about an hour ago and he was doing 5mph on the M25 !!!!.....It is snowing again. Thomas back once again with lots of leaves stuck on his tail !.He has just washed them off and left them all over the carpet :-S Mucky thing.
Hat pic sent :-D
