Lovely blue skies here but very chilly and lots of ice around on the pavements .I had to tread very carefully earlier.Off for my coffee now BBL

Nice and sunny here ,doesn't seem that cold so have turned the heating off for a while ,no doubt when the sun goes in i'll feel chilly and it will have to go back on!!

Pat ,Mocha is so tiny and cute , you forget they all start off like that ,Toby would lay on my lap, wouldn't want him on my lap now !!

Well i thought my back was getting better ,this morning it was really stiff again , i'am getting fed up with it now !!

Thinking of you Frank and Ros ,hope each day will get a little easier for you both .

Had a bit of a job to get on here this morning , are they twiddling about with the tree's again !!

Frosty start, but a bright day now.

It took me a while to get on here this morning Jane. I just kept trying now & again.

Made an appointment at the hair dressers for next Tuesday to get my colour done,
Daughter no 1 wants Sofia's hair trimed but doesn't think she'll sit still so I said bring her along when I go and it will be easier copeing with her when there's two of us.
Kids will do things with grandparents that they won't do with mums & dads ;-) :-)

More trouble getting on here, maintenance going on for about 30 minutes, so I have been watching the tennis. Andy Murray is doing really well, would love to see him in the final with Nadal. He surely deserves a win and is a great favourite out here.

Funny weather here. I did my washing and got Joel to help me hang it in the garage. Not sure when we will see the sun again :-(

Shirl hope the back is a bit better today and Mandy would the cold be affecting your bones? I remember a pic of Toby, would he be as big as Chester?

Pat sorry you are losing more fish. Wish you could work out what's wrong. How is Mocha today, keep you very busy I would think.

William congratulations to you and your wife on the birth of Grace. Must be wonderful to be g.grandparents. As Ann said, all mine would be a great age now. My grandfather was born in 1884 :-S I never knew him as he died in 1926. Elizabeth is my middle name after the Queen. My grandmother wouldn't have it any other way, lol.

Maureen thanks very much for the photos. Harry has grown so much and I love his little jumper.

Jane hope things ease for Janice. I imagine it takes a while to get movement back after the knee operation. My neighbour is doing very well, getting around the ward. We might see her this weekend if I can get myself sorted and out of the house.

Fiona good news that you are putting on some weight and feeling better. Nice to be able to eat some of the things you really like for a change.

Cogratulations William. I wonder if the name will reflect of her when in her teens ???? My "little angel" turned into a right little TOMBOY. But that's all part of growing up, Give her a cuddle from me, I JUST LOVE LITTLE BABIES.

Ros went to Tesc#s yesterday and bought me a present. "A box of blue plasters" the ones they use in cooking programmes. She said put up a little shelf over the cooker, and they will be there next time you cut yout finger tip off. !!! Saucy little Bug### or what..

Jane, I didn't see any frost this morning, I didn't rise till 10.30 again. I was awake a few times in the night.

Pat, It sounds like you will have to start all over again with your fish, what a shame.

I trust you are all well now and got over the colds. My finger is completley healed now. and my heart is starting to feel better also.!!!!

Goes all the way back to Issac in the Old Testement
ELIZABETH is also a biblical name as was her Uncle David

Just thought of a little story about when my "FRIEND" adopted me.

I went out and bought a "cat flap" and thought I would put it in the utiliy room door that lead to the back garden. I marked out the TEMPLATE on the door in the bottom, the furthest point from the lock (BURGULARS). Drilled little holes around the marks and cut it out with my little saw.. All looked fine, until I went to fit it. I had put it in sideways so the only way he could have used it was to do the "FROSBY FLOP" (If you remember the High Jumper) Harvey's friend happened to be there who is very handy. He cut a new piece of plywood in fit the door panel, Recut the cat flap. and fitted it. Painted the door. You would never know it had been done. Thanks PETE. !!!! I had a job to live it down at the club. They all thought what a clever cat I must have !!!!

Must say it did me a favour really as I got a lot of hoovering done and washed down all the front door and window inside and out. Removed all the spiders eggs from the inside rubber seal too. Hoovered all the kitchen and dinner and hall. I feel I have earnt a rest now.

Love the story Frank I did laugh......... I bet it took a long while to live that episode down :-(

I don't like my new phone as there are too many new things on it that I shan't use. As long as I can text or ring someone thats ok with me. I did manage to get my old sim card in and the battery but when I had charged it up it had none of my contacts in it!! :-| :-| :-|

Pat you are not haveing much luck with your fish, are you? Such a shame when you don't know exactly what the trouble is.

My little goldfish and shubunkins are doing fine and growing really well in their tank in the lounge. I have taken a couple of pics but still can't find out how to send them on.

Love to all and I am not sure if I told you this but our Sheila lost her little dog Teddie the other day..........................He was the one she took in.

That's the three pets then Mel, yout little bantie my cat, now Shirls little dog, They say things come in THREES

I;ve had a really lazy day been doing my x stitch , i've made a Biscornu ,will use it as a pin cushion ,although you can fill them with lavender and pop them in your drawers .........and before you say any thing Frank not those sort of draws!!!

Toady in the hole tonight with tenderstream broccoli and rosemary roast pots. Can't be bothered to do any other veg. Too tired.

Chris and I have just had Baked Potatoes and Baked Beans.(He likes the beans with those horrible little sausages in) :-S.He will be off shortly to drive to Northampton Railway Station to pick James and Hannah up.It will be nice to see Hannah again for a couple of days.
She asked me yesterday how to cook Toad in the Hole.I don't think it turned out that great :-S.I rang her to see how it was going .She said cr*p.I could hear her boyfriend in the background shouting "It'll be fine" lolol.

I think we will have to start from scratch again with our fish,,we have lost another 4 today..Alan is expecting all of them to go..I hope not.....we still have 3 baby ones swimming in the plants...

I have been having trouble getting on here today too.. 3 of us at work have handed our notice in this week...one already did at christmas..So from half term they will need 4 new people...It was chaos for the last 2 days while i was away..

Still have not received the photos Pat but I have been having troubles with my e-mails .

It sounds as if you are coping with the job situation well.

Hope everybody is over their colds now. The sun has just come through the clouds maybe its going to be a sunny day if cold dont mind that so much.

I nice sunny one here today but cold with it. The cars are covered in fern patterns outside the kitchen window. Oh has let the chickens out for me so have'nt beenn out yet!

Muggy here, but no rain since last night. Hoping the floods will recede soon. Northern N.S.W. and Queensland have had a rough time over the last 12 months.

Sad to read about Sheila's little dog. It's terrible when they leave us :-(
