William,I find nothing nicer and more relaxing than to have a cat on my lap and stroking it.It has been a long time since that has happened.I love to fuss Podge Fitz'z cat.He is a Tabby and has the softest coat of fur. When I was a little girl we had a black cat called Peter and he slept on my bed every night. It was very comforting to feel his weight down by my feet.
Good you are stocked up now.It looks like we could have more snow tomorrow :-SI passed the sign for Bedworth on the M6 on Saturday ,and thought of you.How is little Grace doing? I expect she is all snug in the warm. Not the best kind of weather for a new baby.Saying that I was shoved out in my pram in all weathers.......because the 'Book' said babies had to get fresh air everyday .Mum followed that book religiously lol.I think I was put under the Apple Tree. :-D
Time for Coach Trip now. Logs arrived and are now all stacked away.Fire roaring up the chimney with Chester sprawled out on the rug in front of it :-D :-D

I have been in the garden trying to put bubble wrap around the bantam houses. My fingers were so cold I could'nt pick up the drawing pins. Then when I got it part way round I knocked the drawing pins off the roof of the house and had to pick them all up. It was a new box too of 100 pins :-| :-|
My fingers will never be the same again. Only just thawed out and my thumb still feels flat!! :-S

William, Great tale as usual, cats do have a mind of their own,They decide who they like or don't like. My son and DIL have five, two are Lewis's who sleep with him every night. When we were down there over Christmas, we never had a time when one or the other wasn't sitting on our laps.
Mel, I put bubble wrap round my chickens when I had them. It kept the rain and snow out. They were like bugs in a rug.!!!
Jane don't burn your legs with that fire, you will get chillblains. (sp) Those horrible patches you use to see on womens legs years ago.
:-D :-D :-D But I suppose you have nice PINS !!!!
Might go for a pint tonight, haven't been out this week. There is a match on at 7.45pm kick off.

Our last cat knew our routine. He was always sitting on the window sill as we drove up to the house. Then he'd jump down and meet you at the door.

Evening All
Coffeeing this morning then babysitting this afternoon
Thats the last of the joiners etc inside the porch, only to come back 1 more time and fit the ends to my outside window sills, they have not arrived at the factory yet, then a visit from a builder to put on the rough cast unfortunatly that may be a while off , it can only be done when the weather improves and it is not sooo cold. Cupboards & counter tops arriving on the 24th February. OH still to plumb in washing machine & sink, Blinds up. still to paint wall's & tile floor.
Went into Wilk*nsons this morning and bought 3 small storage baskets in Turquoise & Teal for £5, thats all they had left on the shelf, so I have been on line & ordered another set in the Turquoise and 1 set in Berry different shades of deep pink. they will make lovely storage containers for pegs, cloths and any other odds & ends.

Morning all,
Very cold here again today. Promise of 10 inches of snow this way today/night. The sky looks full of the white stuff.
Pat, The gayton I refered to is Northamptonshire. I remember when sea fishing back in the 70is When we fished out Norfolk way, I would see a sign saying Gayton, on our way home, and would wish it was Gayton Northants, 130 miles nearer home.
Hope Jane,Ann and Fitz have a good lunch out, not to much wine girls, you know what it does to you. !!!!
Ros is changing the bed again today. I said What are you doing that for, she said it's been a week, to me it seems like two days ago. :-D :-D :-D
Pat, It was B cold out there last night, but I was wrapped up in scarf, gloves, hat and Combie all wool overcoat, that I bought years ago, it is so dressy and warm. I only use it on odd occasions, mainly for funerals in the winter :-0 :-0 :-0 Our friends, who are in Florida, have got SKYPE set up now. I rang her Tueday afternoon, Ros and Carolyn talked for best part of an hour, free of charge. She was just going down to the pool for a swim. The weather out there is very warm, and they go down the beach for lunch in an open air restaurant, and watch the boats go by. LUCKY BU####S.

Sounds like my kind of life Frank, sitting in the sunshine looking out to sea enjoying a nice lunch and watching the world go by. Well done getting that printer working, it pays to be persistent.
Hope Ann, Jane and Fitz are enjoying their lunch, don't suppose the old vino will be flowing if they have to drive.
I shouldn't worry about your son Kim, once is usually enough. I remember getting very drunk on Malibu a long time ago, have never drunk it since, just the smell would put me off even now.
More wedding shopping tomorrow, daughter's dress is in the shop so we are going for her fitting, after that find a nice Italian for lunch and hit the shops. Just hope it doesn't snow.
