I had a good day with the grandchildren yesterday !

Little grandson (6) was reading some books with his grandad and he came across the word 'bumptious' ..................

what does that mean he asked grandad................ 'I'm not quite sure - we had better ask Grannie "

Don't worry he said - I will 'google it'

Off he went to the computer and put in google:

"what dos bumptious (he got that one right as he copied it from the book) meen ?

Luckily google suggested the right spelling which he clicked on but then he had to call grandad in to read out and explain the answer which he had found ;-) :-D :-D

Been out shopping in the city and came across a pound shop


They're ace! I got two pairs of gigs (just magnifying x 1) £1 each

Gig case holder

A special duster for the bathroom towel rails

Slow feeds for the plants

Dove roll on


£6 for the lot.............note to self, must shop there again!

Yes

When they 'ringed' them, they took the two unhatched eggs out of the nest and are doing tests to find out why the didn't hatch

One of the previous years, male chick's (when adult) was killed by his dad

When they 'fledge' they are supposed to GO>>>>>>>>>>

He didn't and he was a threat to the 'male adult' (dad) as he would have mated with his mom

I was under the weather at weekend and we had the girls yesterday.

Yes have been busy with the pics and SIL has found another two lots :-)

That means the lot I have put in album will not be in order if I add more so do I re-do or just add to where I have stopped?

My plan was to number the pages and then do an index sheet saying who was in the photos on that page etc..

I have also been busy finishing O's cardigan and started knitting in blue - teeny tiny ones :-D
