Thank you for those kind words Robert.

I have googled and find that Ginny is right these are from the 80's which is why I do not remember them !

I am too 'old' in fact to remember them as I was in my 30's by then, a long-time married and more into parenting that 'trends of the time' so I obviously missed them (tee hee) !!!

I posted this on fb, twice, and it disappeared both times.

I've tried again ............ but will post it here as well

as of Friday, fb will own the publishing rights of ALL your private photos. They could then be used in advertising by either the site or by 3rd parties.

You need to make a simple change ..... go to 'account', 'account settings', find 'facebook adverts' along the top, 'ads shown by third parties' , Choose NO ONE, then Save

You lost me too David (not a difficult thing to do) !

Cynths,

Go on then, enlighten me please.

I am not going to watch the whole show but, as my grand-daughter may want to discuss it next time she comes, I feel I ought to at least have a look at the frock !

What station is it on and at what time are they getting married?

Just want a 10-minute slot to see the important bit.

So glad that nobody died David.

However, if no-one had ever died, we would not all be on here researching our 'lost' ancestors !!

Ginny - No-one can 'snap a sink' !!!!!!!! - Not even your lovely JB !!

Do you mean he has snapped the hose, or the fitting ??? - He cannot have snapped the sink.

Dea........where do you live at all? How can you not know the details for the wedding? They are everywhere, absolutely everywhere.

It's on both BBC and ITV.........I tend to watch BBC cos I like their presenters.

The coverage begins at 8am/8.30am and the ceremony is at 11am. Most newspapers I think have a rundown on who is arriving when etc.

My son is having a party (18 attending).............his agenda for the day:

Guests to arrive by 10am for full English breakfast.

Watch the ceremony etc.

If the weather is fine....a stroll in the country pausing at a local hostelry for light refreshments.

Back again for homemade curry

Drinks and nibbles will be served all day.

Dress code.....red/white/blue.

I'll stay in my recliner methinks!! Double chocha mocha to hand!

Dea Report 28 Apr 2011 20:55

Well Cynths,

I don't read newspapers nowadays and I haven't watched more than an hour of television in the past almost 3 years and I don't 'get out much' nowadays !!

That's how I can 'not know'.

It sounds like your son has a lovely day planned.

I will pop onto BBC at around 10.45 then, if I am out of the bath by then.

I hope the weather is kind to everyone and that they all enjoy the day.

Sylvia.

In the UK copyright of any photograph belongs to the photographer and remains theirs until 70 years after the photographers death. Any person who is the subject in a photograph has the right to restrict where and how that photographic image is used or displayed.

This is why any photographer who intends to publish one of their photographs in any form asks their subject to sign a model release form granting them permission to do so. It is also why newspapers and the like pay independent photographers for the right to publish their photographs.

If Facebook use anyone's private photograph for either their own or a third parties advertising purposes without first securing the permission to do so from either the photographer and/or the subject then in the UK they will leave themselves open to prosecution for breach of copyright.

Our coverage in this part of Canada starts at 11:00 pm tonight

Ceremony coverage starts at 1:00 am

and you just KNOW that the first 2 hours will be all "talking heads", no matter which station you look at!

I do want to see what kind of dress she has chosen

Jonesey

That may be the official situation

but isn't it worthwhile to make the change to No One to be sure that "your" photographs cannot be used?

after all, once you have posted them to the internet, it is outside your control as to the use made of them.
