I must admit to taking a peep at her dress and very nice it was too. Her sister (MoH) had a stunning dress on

Suppose it cost more than what we live on in a year???

I want to be born into a wealthier family next time please...;)

A year Fans??? - You is 'avin a larff !!!

10, at least, what wiv the tiara thingy, AND the shoes etc. !!

I must say though that the wedding ring was SO small that I could not see it ?? - That must have been their 'cost-saving' item ?

Good luck to them though, I have to say that they did look very happy and, as I would wish to any couple getting married, I do hope they are happy and that it lasts!

So many marriages nowadays do not seem to.

Ginns - who is 'her sister (MoH)??

Am I being a bit thick today?

Not to worry - I have just worked it out (Maid of Honour) !

Yes, I actually think she was the star of the show ! - Did you notice how difficult it was for her to walk in it, especially when going up steps as she kept treading on it and when she was holding the bridesmaids hands she could not lift it and had to step sideways up the steps.

It should have been just ever so slightly shorter at the front to aid her.

She did EXTREMELY well, I thought and performed all her duties perfectly.

Spect the wedding ring was so small coz it was made of real Welsh Gold from the hills near me,and there aint much of it to be found nowadays as the Saes(English) have had most of it already..!

Cynthia,

We all have different ideas as to what was a 'wonderful day'.

For me - I enjoyed what little I saw and I found a lot of it quite boring because I am not religious. However, I can quite understand that if you do have that 'faith', It would have been a most wonderful experience.

I enjoyed seeing a 'couple' who obviously love each other getting married.

I enjoyed seeing the 'crowds' having such a good time.

I particularly enjoyed seeing the little 3 year old bridesmaid entering the Cathedral ang giving a huge yawn and holding her hands over her ears on the balcony to drown out the 'noise' of the crowds!!

Different things are 'special' to each of us and I am glad that you, and many others have had such a wonderful day !

Dea

Dea Report 29 Apr 2011 14:51

Is it REALLY still on the Telly ? I thought it had all finished hours ago !

What was the contraption on Fergie's head?
I agree Kates sister looked stunning. too.
I do not like crowds like that so would not go up there.
Daughter has gone to a wedding in Crewe so left us 3 year old to look after. Well actually it is other daughter and sons and girl friends doing most of it.

jax

jax Report 29 Apr 2011 15:11

That was one of Fergies daughters I have been told LK

Fergie was'nt invited

Gee

Gee Report 29 Apr 2011 15:22

They didnt invite the old lush...couldnt risk her kicking orf!

How fat has Elton John got....all puffed up like a bloater he was

Cynthia

Cynthia Report 29 Apr 2011 15:32

It was Beatrice and Eugenie.....the daughters of Andrew and Fergie. Don't know who on earth 'dresses' them but thought they looked like the two ugly sisters from Cinderella to be honest. It's a shame because it makes them look silly - which you don't need at that age.

I also thought that Victoria Beckham looked really miserable. Maybe she had a headache from trying to keep that hat on!

I loved the way William and Kate held each others gaze during the vows and then kept exchanging happy 'looks'.

It's sometimes difficult being nearly the only one on this thread who admits to having a faith, but I loved the dignity and essence of the service and found it very moving and thrilling. I knew all the words of the service and could sing all the hymns and most of the anthems but found one of them a bit boring and longwinded. As for the choirboys..........awwww.

And now I'll have to do some i*****g......sigh. Back to earth for me!

Dea

Dea Report 29 Apr 2011 15:58

Before you do the i~~~~~g Cynths - just tell me please, as I know nothing about the Royals,

I have just heard that Princess Dianna only met with Prince Charles 13 times before the marriage !!

Cpuld this be true??

She was such a young girl - It is no wonder that it did not work out if it was ??? Poor girl !!

I enjoyed it too. It has meant I could get my Mum to talk about something rather than me twittering on.

Loved Kate's dress and her sister was stunning. Elton had piled on the weight

TootyFruity

TootyFruity Report 29 Apr 2011 16:01

I think Kate is better prepared than Diana ever was.

Dea

Dea Report 29 Apr 2011 16:20

Well, for one thing Toots, I think she is at least 10 years older and , hopefully wiser !!

AND, she has known William for at least 10 years also so all that should help.

My parents met in the december dad was in the army so they did'nt really get together until the April when he was demobed. Married in the August and still together 50 odd years later.

This was a marriage that was not arranged like Charles and Diana's. I think they stand a better chance of it working.

Dea

Dea Report 29 Apr 2011 16:33

So, Was Charles + Dianna's an 'arranged' marriage then??

I thought only 'other cultures' did that nowadays ?
