Well, you had a quiet night on here last night - not much to catch up on !

Good morning all! (for when you wake up).

The sun is shining brightly here - It is going to be a beautiful day!

Breakfast will be served from 7 am.


Selection of cold cereals.
Fresh fruit, yoghurts,

Croisants, crumpets, toast
Orange marmalade, ginger jam, quince jelly + (marmite, of course)

Continental Hams and Cheeses
Freshly baked crusty bread rolls and butter.
..............

Under the warmers:

Crispy bacon, Sausages, black Pudding, Grilled tomatoes, mushrooms, baked beans.
Veggi Sausages (for Gins), Eggs - boiled or fried.
................

Orange bran Muffins,
Crepes (with filling of your choice).

Another busy day for me and trying to think of something quick and easy for our evening meal.......


I hate cooking!

I have a busy day planned too Cynths.

I am going to drive myself into Town (all of approx 10 minutes away )!

It must be at least 12 months since I ventured that far (tee hee) !

I need a new handbag as the one I am carrying around is a disgrace - It's falling to pieces and looks VERY tatty !

Then, a few 'bits and pieces' and maybe, if I am still breathing, I might find some clothes which I badly need as all my old ones are too big for me !

Maybe some books etc. for the grandchildren then home for a rest !

Need some advice please.

A friend has contacted me requesting advice on where she might look.

short version (I hope!)

her mother's friend is the child of divorced parents.

Father apparently re-married, and there was seemingyl a son of the second marriage, b. 1942.

This son has now contacted his step sister (?half sister) ..... but she would like to find out more about him, if possible, before she agrees.

It's all in England.


Has anyone any suggestions on where to look?

I know freebmd will confirm birth of the male, and hopefully the second marriage of the father. But is there anywhere else?

I am now coming to the end of a very tough year at work. We have had two girls off on maternity leave, the first one took her year but decided the week before she was to return that she didn't want to come back and the second has just returned to work and is a breath of fresh air . Today I have just received confirmation that our work permit application for our new member of staff has been approved so they can start Monday. yippee.

I can now go back to a four day week

Am now home and glad to sit down.........


Nothing exciting just.....taxi-ing/shopping/housework/grandkids/meals and summat at church........
