I lurrrrve the way the name of the last poster shows on a thread. It means I can zoom through my messaging quickly if the name of the poster and the name of the last poster tally. They have obviously returned. No-one knows if you have just looked at a thread...the count may go up but it could be anyone.

Yes - I like it too Cynthia, 'coz if it is 'me', I know that there have been no further replies and I don't have to waste my time looking at it!

I like seeing the name of the last poster ............. especially if we're not going to have open and closed signs to show there have been no new posters


BUT it suddenly occurred to me that it does make it easy to find someone, and also hard to hide the fact that you've been on site but not posted on a particular thread where you might be expected to post :))


I really felt as though that person had stalked me yesterday ................... the last post was mine, and her only reason to go on the thread was to post a "hi sylvia will you look for ......"

Well, my son has been round and disconnected my 'much hated' gas cooker............ It is now in the garage and no-one seems to want it !!!

Never mind, my new electric one will be arriving tomorrow ......... JOY !! (I hope !!!!!!!!!)

I now have a big hole in my kitchen units so I hope the new one fits !

Can't wait for tomorrow to come!

As you said earlier - "thank heavens for medication " - We might rattle by the end of the day but at least we are still here and able to take part in our families' lives !!

How many of us would be permanently confined to bed, or worse, without them ??

We have to try to enjoy every minute we have - and 'BOY, am I going to enjoy my new cooker tomorrow !!! (tee hee).

Cynthia -- there is much confusion about what "agnostic" means.

Atheist means doesn't believe.
Agnostic means doesn't know.

All honest atheists are agnostics.

As are all honest theists!

I can decline to believe in something -- and you can choose to believe in something.

Doesn't mean either one of us knows. :P

I'm now torn about last poster's name showing!

I have taken the following from a friend's posting on FB.

True enough, I did what is suggested, found it said "friends with whom you have interacted", changed it to "All of Your Friends and Pages" ... and got several more posts than I'd had


Are you getting ALL your friends Newsfeeds? Read this.

Have you noticed that you are only seeing updates in your News Feed from the same people lately? Have you also noticed that when you post things like status messages, photos and links, the same cir...cle of people are commenting and everyone else seems to be ignoring you? Don’t worry, everyone still loves you and nobody has intentionally blocked you.

The problem is that a large chunk of your friendlist can’t see anything you post and here’s why. The “New Facebook” has a newsfeed setting that by default is automatically set to show ONLY posts from people who you’ve recently interacted with or interacted the most with (which would be limited to the couple of weeks just before people started switching to the new profile). So in other words, for both business and personal pages, unless your friends commented on one of your posts within those few weeks or vice versa – you are now invisible to them and they are invisible to you!!

HERE’S THE FIX: Click on Home at the top right corner of your Facebook screen to get to your News Feed page. Click on the arrow next Top News - Most Recent. Scroll down to the bottom and click on Edit Options, click on Show Posts From and change the setting to All Of Your Friends and Pages. Right below it, you can choose whose posts you do not want to see.

Simply posting an update about it won’t do any good because lots of your friends already can’t see your posts by default. You’ll either have to send out a message to everyone on your list (which I’m not even sure business pages can do and is a rather tedious method) or post an event explaining the situation like this one, and invite your entire friend list. ................ Shame on Facebook for altering the default setting and not telling people and business pages about it! ............

Yeah I may block this one person although is not quite so bad at the moment airing all his dirty washing about the break with his girlfriend who is also one of my friends.

At the moment I feel like blocking my youngest...not keen on her language although I swear and her older sister is bad I dont like seeing it from a 14 year old

ham and cheese quiche tarts, broccoli and cheddar quiche, fritatta


Buttermilk Dollar Pancakes, French toast, Maple syrup, Loganberry Fruit Syrup

Crepes.................... fillings of your choice:- fresh fruit, whipped cream, chocolate sprinkles, bacon bits


Toast, Danish, croissants, crumpets, buttermilk scones, hot cinnamon rolls

Jams, jellies, Seville orange marmalade, Ginger marmalade, marmite, peanut butter
