I have been having a spot of bother looking for this family in 1861

1851 census -
Address: Lambourne End, Lambourne
THREADER, Charles Head Married M 30 1821 Ag Labr
Lambourne
Essex
THREADER, Susannah Wife Married F 28 1823 Dress Maker
Ongar
Essex

1871 Address: Two Brewers, Chigwell
THREADER, Charles Head M 50 Essex
THREADER, Susan Wife F 48 Essex
THREADER, George Son M 11 Essex
THREADER, Emily Daughter F 9 Essex
QUEAREY, William Child Nurse M 0 Essex

There are 2 more daughters

Mary Ann born 1845 and Elizabeth 1853. I have Elizabeth in 1871

1871 Address: Fox & Hounds, Chigwell
QUEAREY, James Head M 37 Essex
THREADER, Elizabeth Servant F 18 Essex
QUEAREY, Jessie Ellen Daughter F 4 Essex
QUEAREY, James Son M 3 Essex

James Queary was a publican and recently bereaved.
Elizabeth's mum was looking after the newborn baby and Elizabeth was helping with the toddlers.
I have no record of Elizabeth or Mary with their parents.

If anyone can spot them I would be grateful.

Thanks, Sylvia, glad to hear you were as happy about wasting your time on the Clampetts as I was (and I did spend time on it). Not sure what made that thread so different from all the other duplicates, with ms k just being obstructionist and not offering info let alone the previous thread info, but hey ho.

SylviaInCanada Report 16 May 2011 00:33

Janey

I wouldn't say I was "happy" that it was duplicated in a certain sense ........ but it did make my brain work, trying to think of ways around

I actually think that they may well have been left off entirely!

Hi all, hope everyone has had a lovely weekend.

Made a big batch of chocolote chip cookies with my daughter (her idea fo helping is to eat as much of them as possible while I am not looking)

Went to a 3 year old birthday party at an indoor play centre, boy kids can be so LOUD! LOL I was ready for a lie down when we came home let only my 2 1/2 year old!

Hi Grace

I used to love making cakes and cookies with my girls when they were younger..now the youngest is pretty good at it

Boys are just Loud... full stop....think I preferred the girl only parties but they were few and far between unfortunatly

jax it was an indoor play centre so loads og boys and girls...and a wet day so lots of people just leave their kids there and go have a coffee!

I find a bit stressful to be honest when there are that many kids to keep an eye on one of them. I lost her for about 5 minutes, couldn't find her anywhere and she's somehow managed to climb right to teh tiop of a frame and was stuck. the birthday girl's daddy had to go and rescue her!!!

Talk about a long 5 minutes though..makes you realise how easily someone can pick up a child and leave and no one would notice.

I hoep she will end up enjoying cooking. It's something we get to do together often very messy though!

Hi Grace

We had a 4th birthday party for my daughter many years ago. She wanted to "have dinner out"

So we took her and 3 friends to a somewhat child friendly steak house ...... they were very good with the kiddies. They kindly cut one steak into 4, and served the quarters on individual plates, etc ..... instead of leaving us to do it for ourselves.

but after we got home, I went to have a bath to de-stress ........... and 15 minutes later realised I was soaking my very expensive gold watch

Got a lecture from the jeweller about that one, but he did manage to rescue it!
