Good morning all,

Yes, you all beat me to that lovely breakfast today but don't worry, I am having two lots now just to make up for being late :-D

Thank you Sylvia,

Dea Xxx

All together now!!!

Oh, say! can you see by the dawn's early light
What so proudly we hailed at the twilight's last gleaming;
Whose broad posts and bright quips, through the perilous fight,
O'er the internet we watched were so gallantly streaming?
And the rocket's red glare, the bombs bursting in air,
Gave proof through the night that our posts were still there:
Oh, say! does Ginny's star thread yet wave
O'er the land of the free and the home of the brave?

Oh, thus be it ever, when freemen shall stand
Between their beloved posts and the RR's desolation!
Blest with victory and peace, may the heaven-rescued strand
Praise the Power that hath made and preserved us a nation!
Then conquer we must, when our cause it is just,
And this be our motto: "In GR is our trust":
And the star-spangled thread in triumph shall wave
O'er the land of the free and the home of the brave.

Gee

Gee Report 6 Jun 2011 10:48

Jax....it's not the cat...its the bloomin trousers, the poor cat cant be seen very well!

Bring back the dog I say :-D

Jonesey Report 6 Jun 2011 10:59

Looks like it's just thee and me this morning Gin.

Not sure that I would shout about being a Blades supporter just now though. Bring back the thigh is what I would suggest.

Gee

Gee Report 6 Jun 2011 11:05

I supported the Blades when they were in division 4...I'm not stopping now!

Naughty Jonesey, I might get the RR if I have my thigh back on show ;-) ;-) ;-)

I see the delightful SG is on GR FB banging on about the board police on a thread I posted saying thank you to GR for reinstating this thread....she's a charmer!

Jonesey Report 6 Jun 2011 11:18

Gin,

Who knows, one day she might say something constructive but I wouldn't hold your breath.

I suppose that the Blades badge is preferable to another pet photo. At least the blades can look forward to 2 local derby's next season. What are your thoughts about their new manager? He doesn't seem to be everyone's choice.

Gee

Gee Report 6 Jun 2011 11:29

I wouldnt be suprised if we go down again...Danny Wilson and that numpty McCabe will see to that

I cant see Wilson lasting to Christmas....we'll see :-(

Jonesey

Jonesey Report 6 Jun 2011 11:39

I thought that McCabe's comment of the season when talking about the appointment had to be:

"That is my job, I know what we have here and what needs to be changed and re-shapes, and therefore I can pick the right person to affect those changes and, hopefully, bring success."

Wasn't Wilson the 3rd manager of United that McCabe had appointed in the last 9 months?

Doesn't sound as if McCabe is doing that part of his job all that well.

P.S. Aren't the GR boards painfully quiet. I think that if it stops raining at Lords I might even be tempted to watch some cricket on the telly. It has got to be more exiting than waiting round here to see if anyone wants help to find their great granny.

Gee

Gee Report 6 Jun 2011 11:48

Kevin Blackwell ....Joke
Gary Speed ..Hopeless
John Carver(acting)
Micky Adams...Not give time or money
Danny Wilson Bigger joke

Four managers and one acting....in a year!

Gee

Gee Report 6 Jun 2011 11:52

Now I'd like Ian Holloway....but McCabe wont get his hand into his pocket

Gee

Gee Report 6 Jun 2011 12:00

Seems my reply to SG was deleted and she got a nasty reply in...so I deleted the post and she went with it!

Ive reposted though.....oooh ;-)

Ian Holloway, not a bad choice if the Owner/Club Chairman/MD doesn't like spending any money. I like Holloway's approach to the game and I find that his sense of humour is to my liking. Sometimes his pre/post match comments are often well worth watching the match for.

West Bromwich Albion's chairman is another not too keen to spend either but in his case he has been known to allow the manager to dispense the sheckles when absolutely essential.

Noted your comment about the FB war. One of these days I must learn how that site works.

Any way I cannot stand all this excitement any longer so I am off. I'm going to watch some paint dry.

Catch you later.

Nooooooooooo NOT football pleeeeeeeze......argghhhh

Just bought some new curtains.........why do I dither around so much? I wish I had an interior decorator's eye at times like this. I have a very vivid imagination for some things and go blank when faced with a gi-normous selection of curtains and cushions. Am going to get OH to stand on a mini stepladder and hold them up to make sure I like them :-S

Afternoon all

I suppose I could change my profile pic to the Gunners badge...but someone already has that.

I will change back to the dog soon but I cant do it by myself...well could'nt yesterday, so give it a few days and I will do.

If we all block SG then she cannot add to anything we say.

Grace,

If you google, the Manse of Craig, Montrose... there are several sites and some have a few pictures etc.

Jax - St Heliers is on the other side of Auckland from me. We do go there quite often, have to go through a few suburbs before we get there....why St Heliers do you want me to visit someone?

As for curtains... himself is so picky... we can be looking at the same colours and he sees something completely different from me and yet we do actually come to an agreement. Thank goodness.

Persie who will pass on Breakfast as himself cooked me some fish for tea. :-)

No I have a friend that lives there she used to live in Tamaki drive and I know that it is the coast road. She had recently put photos on FB of a house that they were pulling down which belonged to her inlaws...which again was overlooking the sea not sure where that was but the house was huge to UK standards anyway.

There are a lot of big houses all around that area... some lovely homes. One street is called Paritai Drive and the houses there are up on the hill and very very expensive... lots of VIP type people live there. NZders are great at slinging off and the nickname for this street is Parasite Drive...

Cynthia,

"My verse" is just my plagiarised version of the American national anthem. The credit should really go to Francis Scott Key who wrote the original poem.

As far as the hen is concerned I would hate to have to provide the batteries for that.
