I love barm cakes Sylvia - I used to have them when I was a child 'up North', all warm and fresh from the local bakers! - Haven't seen them around since.

Lots of lovely bacon in them ............ yummmmm <3

I thought the 10th was the 'big day' for you but I think that was probably one of your previous appointments which got cancelled :-S

I will get it right next time :-)

Will come back later for some of that Burgandy Beef Stew and some Poutine.

See you later,

The wind has blown me Runner Bean plants over and broken some of the canes so I am going to rip the lot out and that will be the end of them...

Me Courgettes decided to grow to the size of Ladys Fingers and then started to rot...Ripping them out too.

Me butternut squash had lovely flowers on that did not fruit...Ripping them out.

Me cabbages have more holes in than Swiss Cheese thanks to slugs and snails...Ripping them out

Me tommy-atoes have all but finished, actually got a few ripen this year. ...Ripping them out.

But me flowers are still flowering so I wont rip them out.

I am off to have a ripping time and kick one or more dogs on the way just for the fun of it... :-D

And if I catch that CAT that has been s******g in my grandsons sand pit even though I covered it over I shall rip its head off...
And then hand it back to its owner...

Hmmmm, maybe just feed it to the dogs to save on a few tins of meat. :-0

It's been a 'ripping' day for you then Fans !!! :-D

I have LOADS of tomatoes - 4 plants - more than 150 BIG lovely tomatoes.

Several seem to ripen each day - If there are any which do not ripen, I will put them in a bag with a couple of bananas - that usually does the trick.

Any left over - 'green tomatoe chutney' beckons !!

I only grew runner beans and tiny plum tomatoes this year.

Grew the Beans in tubs...1st lot black fly killed them before they flowered and the 2nd lot were doing ok until the weather changed and we managed to get enough beans for one meal.

Tomatoes have been ok although the plants have looked dead most of the time...HID is not much of a gardener and needs reminding all the time to water the things

Cant see the point in filling yer garden with stuff that you have to rip out...

...Sainsbury have every fruit and veg I need and no ripping ;-)
