Skin thick in foundation looks bad at any age

My stuff will last until the sell by and after....I only where light makeup for work but like the heavier stuff for a night out

went shopping with OH earlier today ..................... well, he drove me downtown to one fo the department stores, and then came in to help carry the bags.


Bloomin' miracle to have do that!



But it was HIS suggestion ....... he noticed that towels were on sale, and said we needed 2 new sets



sooooooooooooooooo



he got to carry 2 BIG bags each containing 2 bath sheets, 2 smaller towels, and 2 face cloths.



Now he has to wash them :-D

Yesterday (Friday), we won $11, and a free ticket in next week's lottery!


There have been several aftershocks to yesterday's earthquake in the range of magnitude 4 to 5, and we have been warned to expect more



The weather is glorious, if a little too hot for me! The sky is cloudless, and afternoon temperatures are reaching around 28C away from the water. Night-time lows are around 15C. These are temperatures that we normally see in late July and August!

Today, there was a bit of a breeze, and that had a chill to it that felt quite autumn-ish when you were in the shade!

Yes Jonesey, a very special anniversary today. It's one of those where you can remember where you were and what you were doing at the time.

I gave up wearing foundation yonks ago.......I dislike seeing women who are over 60 with heavy make up on.......some of the young ones I see could do with a lesson on how to apply the stuff too. The line round the ears and under the chin gives the game away.

Also don't like it when older women dye their hair darker than what it was to start with - it's very ageing. They need to go a shade lighter really.

Here endeth the beauty tips. Now for the men!

You dont need to worry Jonesey...........you aint got any hair to dye

But you could try using a lighter shade of foundation and stop walking around looking like David Dickinson :-D

I remember exactly where I was on 9/11 and I also find it a difficult time as just a week later I lost my much loved stepson whom I had known since he was a twinkle in his fathers eye.
He suddenly died age 16 of a heart attack at 8.30am one morning.
He had been fit and well all his life,just started college to become a carpenter and had been chopping logs the night before and no hint of trouble.

We had lost his mum(one of my best friends) 2 years before to breast cancer and I had become his "other mum"after much "Kevin"behaviour and plenty of grief.

10 years on and he would now be 26.

So this time of year is never good in my house.But life must go on and I remember all those poor souls in USA and globally that lost loved ones at this time and mourn what could have been with them.

I know you don't like them but I will send them anyway !!
