Morning all, hope that you have had a nice day/night. Home again with daughter who was a sick muppet all night again so back to the dr this morning and now they have taken her off that type of antibiotic and trying another one.

Thankfully she is asleep at the moment which she needs. I don't think anything in particular is worrying her, I think it is more that the room she is in now at childcare, some of the parents still send their kids when they are sick and then they spread it around. I don't do that but I know some of the poor things even look really sick and their parents just whizz in and drop them off and make out like they are okay.

I am guessing it will be the same when she goes to school, I suppose she is building up her immunity I guess.

Gosh I had forgotten how bad daytime tv is! LOL

Lovely and sunny today..still need teh heater on but nice to sit near the window and have the sun on your back!

Tourtiere, Jamaican beef patties, bbq’d pork steak, Vietnamese spring rolls (vegetarian) with sesame dip, Greek chicken casserole, ratatouille (vegetarian)


Buttermilk Dollar Pancakes, French toast, Maple syrup, Peach Syrup, Saskatoon Berry Fruit Syrup



Peach Yoghurt, Orange Yoghurt


Toast (sourdough, rye, white, whole grain, 100% brown, Hovis, gluten free), croissants, crumpets


Muffins -- rhubarb and strawberry muffins, bran muffins, ginger date muffins, zucchini oatmeal muffins


Jams, jellies, Ginger marmalade, 3 fruit marmalade, marmite, peanut butter, vegemite

Hope kiddo improves quickly!


You probably are going through the "meet all the germs and bring them home" stage!


My daughter and her husband had a terrible time from March on ................ MJ started at the daycare, picked up germs. Her husband teaches at a high school; different set of germs. J was picking up her own set of germs at work

It seemed that every time I talked to them, there was something different running through the family ....... and it had originated with a different person!

I drink herbal teas ...... peppermint, fennel, and nightime "sleepytime extra"

I have to stop taking all herbal and Chinese medications tomorrow


so I phoned about the teas


I can continue to drink peppermint, because there is nothing else in it


I didn't ask about the fennel


I cannot take the night-time one ........ it has several "herbals" in it, including Valerian. Valerian can prevent clotting.
