Grrrr......on the way back from college the car decides to splutter and the engine alarm comes on pointing to the fuel injector system!

I can see that being very expensive but hey ho....not much I can do about that is there

Cyns, remember having your hair cut only makes you FEEL 10 years younger dear....you'd need a head transplant to LOOK 10 years younger ;-)

Fans

I need to get my hair cut 'cos I won't be able to go to the hairdressers for another at least 3 weeks after next Tuesday,

I won't be able to have a shower for at least a week (possibly 10 days) after the 20th (until the staples are removed), and I need it to be short so that it doesn't look really really yucky ...... or feel yucky!

and

my hairdresser is a middle-aged woman

:-D :-D :-D

My hair stylist is a women and she is ace and a very nice young lady..we have a laugh, much to the bemusement of the rest of them in the salon

...........no chance there then...

Gee

Just when you thought you'd lost me!

Working a treat tonight....so far. Have only just come in so time will tell no doubt.

Gins, when you learn to read properly, you will see that it was Dea who said a haircut made her look look 10 years younger not me! A good haircut makes me look years younger than you dear! I mean, who's the one who needs a facial make-up ????? :-P

You callin me Motor Mouth Dea?????Come ere an say that to me face you and I will get the slap in the right place and make sure I dont miss...

Where is the boxing gloves little picture thingy I wanna know....

Could do with one to show you me fisticuffs ....Motor Mouth indeedy..!Huh.!

Sylvia my dear let me explain about washing your hair in the kitchen or bathroom sink.

Fill sink with warm water, bend head over it, use a plastic jug/beaker to pour water over hair until wet enough.
Rub in shampoo and scrub scalp and hair well
Pour water over with jug/beaker again and let dirty water out and repeat rinses with jug/beaker until water runs clear.
Do the same for conditioner.

Towel dry hair ,brush or comb it and leave to dry naturally.

Hot air from driers are bad for your hair.. :-P

So no need to use shower to wash hair ... :-D

Next
As my Cockeneye nan used to say and do if not having a bath that day as the well was running low when she was staying with us in the summer.

Strip off, stand on towel in front of bathroom sink(if we had one)if not then in front of kitchen sink after putting chair under handle to prevent unwanted oglers.
Fill sink with warm water and use nice soft flannel and lavender soap to have allover wash.

Start with face and work down as far as possible.
Next go to feet and work up as far as possible and then dont forget to do possible as well... :-D

I know all about washing me hair in the kitchen sink

Done it many times over the years

BUT ........

I won't be able to bend ................ I will have an incision running from my breastbone all the way round to my back

I won't be able to lift my left arm very high, probably not even above my shoulder .............. at least not until I've done the exercises for several weeks

I will effectively have only one hand with which to work.

I have been there, done that before!

Last time, J washed my hair before I left the hospital .............. they had a "hairdresser's sink" with a back leaning chair.

I'm only spending a night in there this time.

I could go to the hairdresser's to get my hair washed ................ but it will be about 10-14 days before I'm able to do that.

Hi all,

Sylvia hope your haircut makes you feel nice...as I am sure the first hair wash and shower will when you have to go that long without one!

My new hairdresser looks like she has just come out of kindergarden lol, my older one upped and left sold the salon and didn't tell her clients...seems a strange thing to do!

Hope you are all well and behaving yourselves, all these whacks and slaps lol :-D

Told you daytime tv here was bad..watched this awful movie yesterday very much made for tv...long and short this girl who was supposed to have died all of her sudden her character pops up in the last 5 minutes of the movie having a coffee in the kitchen with no explaination!!!

Other half must have woken up in a good mood today, has some money left over from bills and is letting me have it all to order some death certificates.. :-D am happy because the Australian ones are so dear it is ridiculous luckily they give you a lot of information, I just have to be a bit selective about which ones I get.

Gee

Gee Report 14 Sep 2011 06:18

Mornin Gracie

I wish English certs had the info that the Oz ones have....long term it would save a fortune because you have to much info all in one!

Have you seen the breakfast lady around yet

;-)

AmazingGrace08

AmazingGrace08 Report 14 Sep 2011 06:25

Morning Ginny, only on the 'other' place!

True they do give a lot, but I suppose what you get still depends on who the informant is and here a lot of the informants probably work/ed at the funeral places and were passing information on..so for example I have a cousin who died at the age of 26 with cancer of the cervix. Now the death cert says that she was aged 31 at the time of death but that she has lived her whole life, 26 years, in Victoria....
