Well they have just started their walk.

Expect to finish 4.30am.

A planned to get up at 4.30 am this morning and sleep this afternoon.

All went to plan except the sleep part.

A neighbour decided to play loud music outside.

So she has a 24 hour day.

Poor thing.

Persephone Report 23 Sep 2011 23:38

Well I swiped it Renes so me no complain.... I was going to put it on my FB page and thought that is a bit blatant... so I go to the secret one and put it there... and whatever I put up there can be passed on as one feels the urge.

I have passed on your comments to another FB member re the new FB as well Renes... so all is fair..

and lots of hugs as well (((((xxxx)))))

But do have to wonder about that Gins being a numpty at times :-) ;-)

Gosh this thread is quiet... without our Sylvia....

Just to let you know there is coffee on the go...

I won't be here around breakfast time. You can either help yourself
to NZ Vogels Bread or gluten free, toast it and top it with an omelette or garlic mushrooms or cheesey tomatoes. Or make yourself a blat.. there is bacon and avocado and lettuce available.

There are also some pastries stuffed with Spinach and feta and rolled into croissant like shapes.

There are tins of creamed corn, BBQ Baked Beans, Sardines and salmon in the pantry.

Jars of Orange curd, merlot jelly and vegemite also in pantry to go on toast.

Best I can do... will leave you to your own devices for Saturday morning... there are magazines and newspapers on the window seat if you feel like a read whilst munching.

As our lovely Persie is busy this morning, I have prepared 'a little something' to add to what she has left for us:

We have :

Crispy bacon, Eggs, any which way you want them , sausages, grilled tomatos and mushrooms, fried bread .

Cereals are on the side with cream and fresh milk !

Toast, crumpets, danish pastries, croissants, (gluten free rolls, toast and crackers) !!

Platters of fresh hams and cheeses,

Asparagus quiche, Mushroom quiche, Quiche Lorraine

Freshly baked muffins - cinanmon and orange, lemon, nut and ginger.

Fresh scones, strawberry jam and clotted cream

Yoghurts and fresh fruits.

Enjoy................

Persie....we ALL wonder about that Gins being a numpty at times....... :-D

Sorry I am too late for breakfast but thank you anyway for all your efforts on our behalf....it's really appreciated....especially by Dea who manages to eat more than her own weight!

Well done to your pair of walkers LK - hope it all went okay and they haven't got any blisters!

I've had another update from our Sylvs. She is finding typing rather difficult as she can only use her right hand at the mo. Here it is:

Things are slowly getting better. I did create some worry in the hospital as my blood pressure would not come down.

It started at 183 just before the operation - reached over 200 on post-op
got as high as 227 on the ward late on Tuesday afternoon.

I did not have any other symptoms, such as headaches, etc, and felt pretty OK ............ having had very high bp before, I know how rotten it can make you feel!

They called in an internist, who prescribed another bp medication, but thought I should go home the next day as I might well feel better at home
........... with the caveat that I had to keep taking my own bp, and go to my own doctor or emergency if it did not come down. Fortunately it is ................. highest now is 170, but it has been down in the 130s.

A Public Health nurse comes on Monday and Thursday to change the dressing, and will do any other necessary things, such as removing the staples.

Staple removal should be some time next week .... 7-10 days after the op, hopefully! I am stapled up from here to eternity! Shouldn't fall apart any time soon!!

I see the surgeon on October 31st and will know then whether I will need any further treatment.

So there we go! All looking good. Sylvia reckons she is a two fingered typist.........reminds me of our Fans who is a two fingered waver!!! :-D

Have a good day one and all....back later. ~~~

I missed breakfast and had to go out to get ours as our electric went off in the early hours and has only just been re connected

A huge hole at the bottom of the drive only to find out that the faulty main cable is further down the road!

Mind you, I got to take some photos of the tree roots that go right under our wall.....remember the council ordered that we had the wall rebuilt as it was leaning and causing a danger to passers

They insisted after 'their' investigations that the trees roots were not anywhere near our wall!

Well, I have photos of stonking huge roots all going under the new wall

Letter to the council on Monday me thinks and try to get my £4K back or at least some of it!
