Feeling somewhat semi human again after weekend. Local tree lighting on Friday and parade on Sunday. Drizzled all morning during set up and staging. I had to wear my really fashionable orange raincoat which you can see in this and yes the children got to their party.

Hi all, hope you are well!

Am taped up so not falling apart just yet, only wish they has given me a tummy tuck at the same time!

Fanny I had the same trouble as you, I gave up because the site was being soooo slow!

Trying to decide if I should bite the bullet and start writing my Christmas Cards, have a couple more days of work so might get that job done!

Sylvia,

I thought that you might like to see this article that appeared in the Daily Mail. The pictures were taken in Whitehorse. YT.

R, love the long orange coat and RED hat!

Whats with the bag pipes?

SylviaInCanada

SylviaInCanada Report 29 Nov 2011 07:19

Thank you, Jonesey

I wonder what they were doing still up in Whitehorse at this time of year?? They should have migrated south a month or more ago!

One of our nieces lives up in Whitehorse, and we hope to get up there before too long ....... I'm sure it has changed since we were last there in 1983 :-)

You know what they say about people who wear red hats, ;-)

What do they say about people who wear red hats?

Jonesey

Sylv,

If I want to visit anywhere these days I usually use Google Earth then use street view to wander around.

Travel time is minimal.

Cost is nil.

No need to find your passport or obtain a visa.

I find that my office chair is much more comfortable than an aircraft seat.

Jonesey

Jonesey Report 29 Nov 2011 07:33

Gin,

Red hat no knickers!

Although I believe that in Yorkshire the saying is, Fur coat no Knickers.

You really ought to get out more. ;-)

SylviaInCanada

SylviaInCanada Report 29 Nov 2011 07:33

hmmmmmmmmmmm

well, we won't need either a visa or a passport for Whitehorse

.................... at least, not within the next 2 or 3 years :-)

we still have the travel bug ;-)
