Mind you, It is nowhere near the size of the ones that fell in Montana recently - apparently 15" in diameter and 8" thick !! - Can you believe that ???

It is SO strange !!

When we had the insulation done last week we had to clear out the loft !!

We did not have a lot in there but it was SO old and tatty we decided to take most of it down the tip!

We sorted out what was appropriate for the Charity shop' and put the rest outside along the side of the drive, ready to bin it when we had time.

Unbelievebly, most of it has disappeared in the night!!! :-S

It is unbelievable what kind of person would be able to make use of such rubbish !!!

Gee Report 4 Feb 2012 16:22

I always put my throw outs on the drive Dea.

The scrap metal guys come all the time but who takes the other stuff, I dont know!

Its very white here and when I nipped to the shop, came out and the windscreen had frozen over :-0

Worried about my son who is working tonight and driving home at about 5am.....he's not driven in snow yet

Dea

Dea Report 4 Feb 2012 16:26

Awwhh bless him - I am sure he will be O.K. !! (Don't know about the car though ??? ;-))

Grand-daughters 7th birthday tomorrow !! - No matter how much snow there is, I have to get to her house to give her the present !!!

The snow is getting heavier here and is meant to get VERY heavy around 5pm !

It's sort of snowed here but it's more rain at the moment........flippin cold though!

Jim-jams after tea methinks.

I keep getting a BT advert on the side of the page....it shows a few sets of clacking false teeth sliding around. Now, who does that remind me of???

:-D :-D :-D

Dea Report 4 Feb 2012 17:12

That's SO nice Cynths - how old will he be ??

A 'little' older than 7 I would think ???

Cynthia

Cynthia Report 4 Feb 2012 19:10

He'll be 39 Dea - where does time go? His children think he is old :-S

Went to the takeaway and it's horrible out there - the roads are not nice at all. I had freezing rain on the windscreen which my wipers weren't clearing very well. I had to pull over until I could see properly... :-(

C'mon Spring..........we want you..... :-D :-D

Dea

Dea Report 4 Feb 2012 19:49

The weather forecasters and meteorologists in most of the US and Canada were actually apologizing earlier in the week because they had been so wrong in their long-range forecast for the winter.

It was supposed to be colder and snowier than "average", because of the La Nina effect ...........................

Instead, most areas have been warmer, and drier than average!

However, as one of our local meteorologists pointed out .......... there is still a month more of winter's stay.
