Tried to call in at lunch time but got Error message. :-| :-|

Daughter was bitten by something yesterday that has made her face swell up and is affecting her eye.
Not comfortable.
No news from the hospital.

Not nice LK !!

Hubby was bitten by something a few years ago when we were in Mexico.

The whites of his eyes went red !!! - Thankfully it cleared up within a few days but he looked very strange and also had 'flu-like' symptoms.

Has OH gone in yet then ??

Not yet. We have been told we can go up north to the wedding but still waiting to find out if he will be admitted Monday or Tuesday.
Have 2nd day of home visits tomorrow and 3rd on wednesday.
Then they will stop for at least 8 weeks. Someone called today to see if we wouid go out to Hildenborough near Tonbridge.

SylviaInCanada Report 27 Mar 2012 07:01

sheesh LK, they have you running all around, don't they?!

Have you not managed to get a locum then??

My OH was really only out of action for about 5 weeks ...... and that included the Christmas break.

He had the op on Dec 5, and went back to the uni after New Year.

He was lucky though .............. he didn't have to have any further treatment, although he did have to go back into hospital around the 15th to have his prostate widened (it has swelled in objection to the catheter, and wouldn't go down in size :-0 )

He was unable to drive for 3 weeks, and unable to leave the city for 3 weeks (mainly because of the prostate problem).

we'll keep our fingers crossed that you guys are as lucky :-D
