Gee Report 27 Mar 2012 20:48

Hmmm....its good that most docs at work are scanned and emailed, but certificates HAVE to be posted :-|

I always thought the different sizes and prices were/are confusing too.....RM must make a mint (!) on the amount of mail that goes out over stamped

Dea Report 27 Mar 2012 20:53

Even allowing for inflation - that is a far cry from the original 'Penny Post " !!! :-(

Friends Reunited has re-fashioned and re-launched itself

so I went to have a look

please, please, all the gods there are ............... do not let GR re-launch itself to match!

it's awful!!

everything that "was" has sort of been grandfathered OR been removed.

I can still access the groups I was in, but no-one else can now join, and if I accidentally click the "leave" button, I can't re-join :-0

they've done away with their Chat rooms .............. which I never even tried, but I know a lot of people liked to chat in "real time", ............ and replaced them with "Message Boxes" where you can communicate in real time by ........................ typing :-D

I tried to send a message to someone .............. and got a message that I had exceeded my "daily message limit".

I tried to find out what the daily limit was ......... not having sent a message for 6 months, and only this one today.

No answer in the FAQs ....... so clicked on "submit your query" to our group, as instructed.

Page not found.

please don't let GR go the same route!!!!!

and then there w as the information posted by a friend on FR ...................

(it's apparently in the newspapers)

FR has sold certain rights to the FR Dating Site to a company called Cupid.

Cupid will operate the site, while FR will maintain it.

Cupid has paid a license fee of £600,000 for the privilege, plus another £200,000 if certain targets are met.

In return, Cupid will keep 95% of the annual profits for 2 years, and then 100% of them.

:-S :-S :-S :-S :-S

there's a lot of money to be made out of dating sites, obviously :-D :-D :-D :-D :-D

I am all for a croque monsieur tonight thanks.. we are going to my daughter's for supper so that would fill the gap nicely between 6pm and then. We have dropped back to twelve hours ahead for a short while until our daylight saving finishes which is this weekend and then we will be eleven hours ahead. :-S

My eldest grandchild Maia is seventeen today. She has dance class around dinner time so we are going later in the evening. I better go to the money machine on the way.. I have already had the request for money the other week. Probably getting in early so I would be able to save for it. ;-)

Happy birthday to your grandaughter Persie and have a nice time even though you will have to part with money :-D

My almost 21 yr old daughter posted on facebook "anyone want to go to Thorpe Park next week"

Well I dont know how she was going to get there anyway its an amusement park 100 miles from her and she has no transport and the trains are not direct.

I suggested that she and my younger daughter who will be on easter break came to visit me....not had a reply...does that not surprise me?? HID can pick them up and take them home...will cost a fair bit for the petrol but hey ho I am not asking much from her once a year would be nice
