For future generations doing research - will the death be registered in Leicestershire, even though it happened in Manchester ??

Im not sure Dea

I think you can have a baby in one place and register the details in another

Doesn't it tell you on the death certificate where it was registered?

Jonesey Report 4 Feb 2014 16:33

Deaths are normally registered in the registration district where the death occurs irrespective of circumstances. If no family member is on hand to register the death there then this would be done by someone not connected to the deceased such as a hospital official if the death occurred in hospital.

The death certificate itself will clearly show where the death was registered.

My thoughts too Mr Jones

Dea Report 4 Feb 2014 18:53

OOOhh - thank you both - I registered it in Leicestershire and received the cert there but the death cert clearly states that the registration district was Manchester !!

That clears that up then !!

I have had the day from h**l

As I posted we had the girls today.

O has been complaining about a sore ear for a few days and she was up 4 times through the night and her temperature kept spiking.

She was ok this morning went to Nursery but when OH went to get her they said that when they were giving her her snack all the colour drained from her face.

They kept her in didn't let her outside to play (said if it hadn't been so near to pick up time they would have phoned)

From the minute OH put her in car (about 11.30am) till she fell asleep at 1pm she sobbed her eyes out. I had phoned and made a Doctors appointment for the afternoon.

Guess what she has an ear infection and is on antibiotics.

got a text from son thanking me for taking her to GP and saying his guilt has cost him a Snow White doll :-D

Yep Mum does know best (even when she is the gran) ;-)

Good morning all :-)

Thank you for breakfast Ginns - those teacakes are scrummy ! <3

I hope all the poorly people from yesterday are feeling better today, expecially Sylvia's OH who was obviously getting no sympathy from Sylvia as her post above has a great big smily grin after she told us 'he looks awful sick' :-0 :-S

I am sure she is not really that happy about it really though ;-) :-D :-D

See you all later,

Dea

Dea Report 5 Feb 2014 15:06

Glad it's come back on Ginns. It's getting dark now and you would have had to get the candles out soon :-)

When I saw your last message about it going off I sat here wondering how you could be posting that message if you had no power. :-S Then I realised what you meant by being glad you had your phone - You know what 'my' phone is like - it makes and receives phone calls ;-) ... Ohh! AND it can take photo's but I'm not sure how that works ;-) :-D :-D

When they invent one that can do the housework and make a cup of tea, I might upgrade :-D :-D :-D :-D :-D

Gee

Gee Report 5 Feb 2014 15:49

I cleared my wardrobe when I had nothing to do after the power cut out

Then went out and bought replacements for ones I'd put in the clothes bank :-D

I reported the loss of power and they kept texting me with updates on how things were going

It was back on when I got home

Phew...............I thought I might miss Kojak!

Linda

Linda Report 5 Feb 2014 19:14

Phew!!

Took the girls home at 6.30pm as DIL had someone coming out to quote for her new kitchen and it was easier for her if we kept them a little longer.

O is much better today not quite back to normal but only up once through the night
:-D

She ate a bit better tonight and did well at dinner time. I made potatoes, cauliflower, broccoli and put grated cheese through it then mashed them all together (she won't eat potatoes)

They had that with those little fish shaped fish cakes. She ate a good bit of the veg mix and the fish then got ice cream for being good. She never even knew she had potatoes ;-)

We have them again tomorrow afternoon for a few hours might go and see OH's parents.
