Good for you Dea :-)

I feel very smug....went to get the towels off the line and just as I got in the back door, the heavens opened BIG style

Gins I did and then did it again when he left the outside freezer door wide open :-|

tonight has been manic S (GD's daddy) came round to use the printer.

I was on the phone to a friend and trying to open up my emails, set up the printer etc

No 1 son and partner came in and she very kindly took over.

Then they all left and peace was restored (at least until tomorrow )

Well, It might be a very old car but my brakes still work well, thankfully! - It was almost a 'gonner' just now!.

Some silly buddy idiot just decided to pull in to the left infront of me and as I started to overtake him he thought he would come out and turn right and do a 'U'turn in the side street entrance and change direction!

I had to slam the brakes on and swerve to avoid going head on into the side of him and there he was chatting away on his mobile phone, manouvering his van with one hand to continue with his manouver !!!!!!!!!!!!! :-0 He never put the phone down at all.

I was all set to get out and grab his phone and tell him he could collect it from the police station but thought better of it but he made me very cross and I gave him one of my famous 'glares' and a telling off which certainly told him as much.

Thought it best to stay in the car though - I am only 'lickle' after all ;-)

Dea

You should have taken his licence and reported him to the police :-|

Glad you are OK, it shakes you up a near miss like that

Dea

Dea Report 11 Jun 2014 18:08

I did take his number but it didn't seem worth the effort reporting him as they never do anything anyway !! :-(

I will remember him next time!! ;-) :-D :-D

Part of me still wishes that I had got out and taken his phone though !!

Coming home tonight - Grand-daughter (who is at the end of year 4 - relevant very soon!) said to me that she had been studying Egyptian Jewellery and 'Skellingtons' today !! - VERY interesting !!

However - in year 6 (not too far off), she will be told how to make a baby !!!!!

She shared something with me that her mother had told her when she asked recently and asked me if it was true that it was something to do with 'touching privates' - I told her it was ! (but perhaps a little more complicated and she would find out more later ) ;-)

Roll n year 6 !!

Yes Gins I did at least until OH phoned me at about 4pm.

Mini crisis which if he had used his brain cells and used his mobile to google would have been resolved a lot faster.

Men ;-)

not much chance of peace today girls are arriving about 4pm and staying overnight.

Off to do food shop, change beds etc

Easier to phone the wife Linds!

The weather has been fab today but very 'close'

Not sure if I mentioned that my blood pressure was high when I had it checked so I have gone onto a salt free diet.

I have always been REALLY bad with salt, cook everything with it and then POUR it onto my food

Well, I haven't had any salt for just over a week and today is the first day that I haven't had a headache.

According to the nurse, who I saw on Wednesday 'you're having withdrawal symptoms'

Apparently salt is as addictive as heroin :-0
