I 'did' go back to bed, thank you. Just got up again and feeling a little better. - Scrolled down quickly past the breakfast details.....

Don't worry about me, I shall take it slowly and I will be fine by this afternoon. Luckily my office is just across from the bathroom so I won't have to 'dash' far (tee hee).

Yes, I hope Renes feels a bit brighter after a good sleep.

Just back from lunch at our church which is a cheerful 'do'. Part way during his braised steak, OH turns to the organist and says "do you know such and such a hymn?" Turns out he wants it at his funeral.....so that's another version of a DIY funeral Fans! Was it Queen Victoria and her mate who were not amused..???


Cleaned the inside of the car yesterday and had it washed today - sailed along like a dream it did!! lol



Young Paddy bought a donkey from a farmer for £100.
The farmer agreed to deliver it.
The next day he drove up and said "Sorry Paddy, but I have some bad news. The donkey's died."

Paddy replied, "Well then, just give me my money back."
The farmer said "I can't do that, I've already spent it."

Paddy said, "OK then, just bring me the dead donkey."
The farmer asked "What are you going to do with him?"

Paddy said "I'm going to raffle him off".
The farmer said "You can't raffle a dead donkey!"

Paddy replied "Sure I can. Watch me. I just won't tell anybody he's dead".

A month later, the farmer met up with Paddy and asked....
"What happened with that dead donkey?"

Paddy said..."I raffled him off. I sold 500 tickets at two pounds each and made a profit of £898.

The farmer said.."Didn't anyone complain?"

Paddy replied "Just the guy who won. So I gave him his two poundes back!"


Paddy now works for the RBS. :))

Hi All

I am fine today - slept for c 12 hours --- much recovered now

Spent the day pottering -- OH touching up all the white paint -- house beginning to look gleaming in the sun --- I have recovered our directors chairs and generally spring cleaned terraces

Always the same after the winter --- with all this white -- it soon goes off

It will nice and fresh and white -- for any would be buyer !! all cross your fingers and touch wood

I'm sure the house will look beautiful to any would be purchaser - white paint or not.


Must admit I hate moving. It's 6 years since we retired and moved and I still dream about where we used to live. We were there for 21 years so I guess it made quite an impression on me.


Am out again tonight.....3rd night this week! It's either all or nothing sometimes isn't it?
