Renes, that sounds a wonderful experience. All the nuns I have ever met have been lovely people and I remember one who led a conference I was attending. She taught us about using the bible with respect i.e. never placing it on the floor etc.

I do so hate it when I read about those in Holy Orders who 'have let the side down' so to speak. Mind you, I guess every vocation/occupation, has those whose behaviour leaves a lot to be desired.




Beautiful blue skies so the washing machine is whirling away :)) (still playing with my new 'toy').


Better go for a shower I suppose........do I have the energy though??

Just had a look. Don't know why he should consider it abusive! He is relatively new to the boards I think - I sent him a message about replying to an old thread last year. He never replied to me. Maybe the penny hasn't dropped as to how things function on here.

I should report him for calling me the Board police, but I am not going to get into a slanging match on someone elses thread.

Thing is the poster looks new so she will recieve his pm then may not bother to return to the boards...as they do

Interesting...just looked at the census I posted for 1891 and there is one person that has her in a tree( on ancestry) and it is the abused person, he has not added 1901 though

Gins. No, I wasn't educated by nuns but you can't tar them all with the same brush any more than you can lecturers/doctors/lawyers etc. There are good and bad in all professions.
