Childrens ward gets everything Cyn...Suggest the geryy ward instead maybe as they get very little...
And as most have no teefs on there they can suck the eggs..:)

No ,seriously, the gerry ward always gets last dibs on any donations...

I know what you mean Fans. I have often taken donations of nearly new nightwear into that ward because I know they struggle at times.

You leave our Sylvs and her teef alone anyway!!

back around Christmas 1999, we went north to stay with OH's sister.

our 21 year old nephew broke his leg, on the ski hill, on December 23

It needed pinning, and the closest hospital able to do that was 4 hours away by road.

They airlifted him there, by helicopter. His mother drove over there, with his sister.

Only bed was in the Children's Ward

He's only 6' 2"

children's beds are not that long!

They operated the next day, and while he was in surgery Zeddie, the mascot for a chain of stores, visited the ward, and left a present on his bed.

They found another bed for him that night .................. in the geriatric ward

His mother drove him home the next day (ie Christmas Day).

We had Christmas dinner on Boxing Day, and Boxing Day Brunch on Dec 27

He set off alarms at airports for several years, then had the pins removed.

Hi all,
Yes - it 'was' grand-daughter day today and it will be again tomorrow... phewww!!!

I took her to the Cross Country Festival and she did her 'cross country run'.

She was a bit frightened at first because the High School were it took place is huge and part of the Community Colledge Complex (she is used to a 'little' Primary School), and there were hundreds of people there but she wiped away the tears and 'went for it'.

There were almost 70 children in her race from several different schools, mostly boys but she did it and came in at number 52 - I was SO proud of her!!

The race was up and down a hill, across the width of a large field, along the length of the field, across the width again and half way down the length to get to the finish, and they were running against a VERY gusty wind!.... wooww - a long way!!

I need a rest now just from watching her (tee hee).

Dea x
