Not sure if the mother would still be alive born 1927 but says 1929 when she went to canada but she did have two sons born in the 50s is'nt Canadian stuff hard to find in the last 100 years? one of rhe sons had a more unusual name so an address could poss be found if I knew where to look

You brought back some memories there Mr. Jones!

We lived in a flat over a garage at college for the first year of our marriage. We thought we were the bee's knees because we had rugs along the corridor. Like Dea, we didn't want to get into debt so struggled on. Fortunately OH's mother was a tailoress so she made a lot of our curtains and my dresses etc. Good days really, and the experience makes us grateful for what we have today - in more ways than one. Hope you both had a lovely day.

I found The mother and two sons travelling to Canada in 1957 dont know where the father was maybe he was a sailor and went that way.They went to montreal but whether that was the final destination I dont know.

Trouble is if if she is still alive and not told anyone she had a child when she was 17 its a bit akward I think

We've had a wonderful day today. The sun does make a difference. Had to go into work this morning for an hour but C was on a good day so went out for some pub grub at lunchtime then had a walk on the prom. We didn't walk a long way but it was just lovely not having to rush anywhere.
