Mo in Kent

Mo in Kent Report 13 Mar 2011 19:12

Jeniwren, how was your weather, whilst you were out in your Vardo.
It really doesn't surprise me about the stone throwing yobs.
It has been on our local t.v about people throwing stones from bridges, that go over the motorway, and just missing some vehicles.
And it was youngsters that were doing it, as they were chased away by a group of adults out walking.
Apart from the upset it sounds like you had a wonderfully peaceful time.
Did you sleep in your Vardo as well.

Pat, you are not the only one who wont be joining Stevie boys surgery.
I am perfect as I am, warts and all. LOL People either take me for the ugly mug I am, or leave me alone. After all, it's not whats on the outside that counts, it's whats on the inside.

Dermot that E.Mail is excellent. I believe I have received it before, but it makes me smile every time.

Ahhh Maddie, I know whats caused your problem, you had a small tipple, and you should have had a bucketfull, that way you wouldn't have noticed that you were feeling rough.
Don't work yourself to hard this week, as you need to conserve your energy for Saturday.
Do you want the raffle gifts wrapped, or just left as is.

So people say
Each virtue virtually knows no bound each trait is great and patiently sound
I'm practically perfect from head to toe
If I had a fault it would never dare to show
I'm so practically perfect in every way

Both prim and proper and never to stern
Well-educated yet willing to learn
I'm clean and honest my manner refined
and I wear shoes of the sensible kind
I suffer no nonsense and whilst I remain
there's nothing else I feel I need to explain

I'm practically perfect in every way
Practically perfect that's my forte
uncanny nannies are hard to find
Unique yet meek unspeakably kind
I'm practically perfect not slightly soiled
running like an engine that’s just been freshly oiled
I'm so practically perfect in every way.

Or, how about?

Oh Lord it's hard to be humble
when you're perfect in every way.
I can't wait to look in the mirror
cause I get better looking each day.

To know me is to love me
I must be a hell of a man.
Oh Lord it's hard to be humble
but I'm doing the best that I can.

I used to have a girlfriend
but she just couldn't compete
with all of these love starved women
who keep clamouring at my feet.
Well I prob'ly could find me another
but I guess they're all in awe of me.
Who cares, I never get lonesome
cause I treasure my own company.

Oh Lord it's hard to be humble
when you're perfect in every way,
I can't wait to look in the mirror
cause I get better looking each day
To know me is to love me
I must be a hell of a man.
Oh Lord it's hard to be humble
but I'm doing the best that I can.

I guess you could say I'm a loner,
a cowboy outlaw tough and proud.
I could have lots of friends if I want to
but then I wouldn't stand out from the crowd.
Some folks say that I'm egotistical.
Hell, I don't even know what that means.
I guess it has something to do with the way that I
fill out my skin tight blue jeans.

Oh Lord it's hard to be humble
when you're perfect in every way,
I can't wait to look in the mirror
cause I get better looking each day
To know me is to love me
I must be a hell of a man.
Oh Lord it's hard to be humble
but I'm doing the best that I can.

Thank god Mary Poppins is only a fictional character Dermot, she would be one of a kind.
I don't think i know of one person who could match her peculiarities.
No body should be that perfect. lol
Ooops nearly missed your extra prose, nice one.

PatriciaAnn Report 13 Mar 2011 19:49

Mary Poppins could come round my house and tidy stuff up for me!
When I was younger I used to pose in front of the mirror and think 36-24-36!
Your bits about Confucius was vey good and funy Dermot.
I'm going to have some tea now and read some more of War and Peace. I've passed the 500 page mark!

Hi Mo, the weather over the weekend was quite good really, sunny most of the time, a couple of light showers on Saturday evening but they didn't last for long. some quite strong wind late Saturday night but the farmer where I parked up let me put vardo behind his barn so was sheltered.
If Romanies travel in a family or a group they very rarely get any abuse, but a woman alone, specially an old one is fair game for youngsters. Connor was ok , he didn't get hurt, will be on the roads again a few times before the Appleby Horse Fair.

Hope all on the friendly thread are well.

Off to watch waking the dead now, hope everyone is ok.

PatriciaAnn

PatriciaAnn Report 14 Mar 2011 13:21

I'm sat at my desk reading War and Peace
It's lunchtime and I don't have to do any shopping- fish and chips for tea.
I got to carry the book around in a separate bag because it's too big to fit in my rucksack. I even read the book on the bus!
I thought it was colder this morning.
