Mo in Kent

Mo in Kent Report 29 Apr 2011 07:04

Morning everyone.
Well I'm up and ready to go, going to run my bath and have a good soak in a minute.
A nice cup of tea for me please Stephen, then I will get into the lovely bubble bath.
Stephen I hope "Fluffy Paws" is well groomed for the occasion. Remember to keep him under control, we don't want him trampled underfoot, by the crowds or the horses.
Right see you all later on.

I'll try to have a quick read of the thread while I wait for Stephen to pick me up.

Edit: I take it Shelly had packed the fags in.............. LOL

Exeter Airport is just ideal for Patricia.

Don't mistakenly fly to Plymouth Airport - it's closing down shortly - for good.

Stephen I'm all ready in my lovely gold coloured silk suit, I've made an effort, won't show you up.

Going to have a bit of breakfast now while I'm waiting, hope I don't get any drips on my suit.

PatriciaAnn Report 29 Apr 2011 08:14

I'm dressed in my second best suit! This suit has seen several weddings and funerals. It still looks good!
It's a bit cloudy here though.
I see that Kate is going to be the Duchess of Cambridgeshire or something like that.
Exeter Airport is the only airport I fly from except to come home of course!

Oh Yes ....Have I been left out ?????????????

Just because I'm going to a House Party I could still slip away for the real wedding you know....LOL,

Dermot .....Plymouth Airport might yet be taken over ,there was talk about it last night on west country TV......we need a billionaire to save it .

Shelly ......Well did you or didn't you ? if you did did I bet it wasn't the same taste.

So I'll just wait for my limousine to pick me up hope its got a Sat Nav as it wont find me !
Going for me bath first ....

Rita Report 29 Apr 2011 08:38

morning all I am already here and the crowds are going mad I have a flag flying in the breeze nearly lost my hat a couple of times thats what you get for wearing a large brimmed hat.
when I logged on Google had a design of Westminster Abbey on I click and it said Prince William of Wales I thought they had made a mistake then recall his surname is Wales.
His Grandmother has made him Duke of Cambridge among other tittles and Catherine is now to be know as Princess. Catherine . its offical and Prince William wants to still be know as Prince William.
on his walk about he looked and smiled so like his mother Princess of hearts. I need a tissue I am going to cry always do at weddings. lol
Lets hope the rain stays away at least till they are back in the Palace.

Enjoy the wedding

Actually Kate is going to be Duchess of Cambridge- (without the shire). No guesses as to which crew she'll cheer on in the Boat Race!
I was thinking I wouldn't mind a title
"Lady Patricia the Duchess of Exeter" It's got a nice ring to it!
I know I'm getting ideas above my station but this is what happens when I put on a suit! Posh.....

Morning all
Bit dull here but dry
Got BBC1 on and it's quite exciting to see all the crowds...... but I wouldn't want to be there, bit like Mo like my own space.

Did a bit more on my friends tree last night.
Did a bit more knitting too Mo.

Got some ironing to do and hopefully get into the garden if it stays dry

Have a great day everyone

Linda :o) XxX

MotownGal Report 29 Apr 2011 10:16

Driving along the Mall everyone.

Wave to the crowds, dont forget the regal wave.

Lots of people out to see - US....... lol

The Duke of Cambridge is bringing up the rear. I must say he looks quite dashing in his red uniform.

I shall have to stuff a hanky in my mouth when it comes to the part about 'any objections' or else I will shout ' IT SHOULD HAVE BEEN ME'
lol

Shelly get your head in from the window, you cannot have a fag now.

Turning into Horse Guards Parade, and under the arch into Whitehall.

We are in for a lovely day everyone, hope you have all eaten, dont want anyone fainting.

MotownGal Report 29 Apr 2011 13:38

Ahhhh the Kiss was wonderful, but the noise from the aircraft flying overhead was a bit deafening.
I don't know where everyone else is, I have lost you all again.
Did you see me waving my flag ,with my feet soaking in the fountain, coo they dont arf ache.
All this walking aint doing much good for my aching joints.
Now if I walk round by this fence, I might see one of you.
Just remember I have got my Union Jack dress on, there are a few others who have had the same idea, but none as nice as mine, mine fits me better.
If I blow my whistle perhaps you will hear it above all this noise, Peeeeep,Peeeep whoooo hoooo, where are you all.

Yvonne Report 29 Apr 2011 14:39

That was lovely, wasn't Kate's dress beautiful.

I enjoyed the ride down the Mall waving at everyone, tucking into dinner now, I'm starving. Had to wait for the photos and the balcony, my tummy was rumbling, I got a stare from the Queen but I blamed it on the corgis lol

Hello Mo, I thought that was you with your feet in the fountain lol

Yes, Kate's dress was really beautiful, as was she! I loved it, she's got very good taste.

I think William is the lucky one........... Kate is perfect for him.

Mo in Kent

Mo in Kent Report 29 Apr 2011 15:37

Yvonne could you smell my feet from that distance then, good grief I didn't realise they were that bad.
Those Corgi's have been leaving little presents all over the Palace, the Queen is not amused.

I do agree about Catherine's dress, it was simple, but very very elegant.
Princess Diana would have been so proud of William today,a really handsome young man, who fortunately takes after his mother. Poor Harry, I don't know quite who he looks like though.
Luckily, neither of the boys have got "Jug ears".

All these people are giving me a headache, I think I will trot back to the hotel. Hopefully you will all be back there soon, so that we can dance the night away.

Yvonne

Yvonne Report 29 Apr 2011 15:44

I'm full up now, so many courses, I was getting in a muddle with all the cutlery.

Just saying my goodbyes to William and Catherine so I'll see you back at the hotel, need a rest and put me feet up before tonights knees up
