I thought the retirement age was 65!

It's mad hot here, been sitting outside all day, just come in for a coffee and to make my son a cup of tea.

I've never smoked in my life, although both my parents were smokers - so I inhaled a lot of smoke as a kid.

I have a glass of wine or a G&T every night after my dinner, but I don't get drunk. Not everybody who drinks is a drunk, I've never been legless, I've never caused a fight and I've never thrown up because of alcohol. I never drink and drive, wouldn't even have a mouthful of alcohol if I was driving. I've never put anyone's life at risk.

Not all drinkers drink to excess......... but I have to admit there are a lot who do.

My 92 year old aunt has had a glass of rum every night of her life since she was 17, her 92 year old husband drank a couple of glasses of malt every night of his life. Don't think it's ever done any of them any harm. Mind you, I know a 90 year old woman who's smoked all her life and she's still going strong today.

Just got the photo Marilyn, it's a really good one. Your grandson doesn't look very happy though, don't think he likes you fussing over him........... LOL

I love your hair!

If you are no good at reversing, try this.

Multiply 1,089 by 9 & you get 9,801. In other words, 1,089 revereses itself.

(From today's newspaper).

Sally, you just put the photos in an email as an attachment. If you send your email address in a PM to one of us we'll send the photos on to you. It's much better talking/typing to people when you know what they look like.

Did you enjoy your glass of wine Pat? I'll be having a G&T with lots of ice later because it's really hot here.

Evening all,
sun is only just coming out now!! What use is that?

Marilyn your grandson is a handsome chap, bet he'll break a few hearts when he's a bit older.
Had fish and chips for tea and a nice cold glass of wine. Couldn't be bothered to cook tonight even though there are only 2 of us -very rare occurence- and have to say they were very good.
Sally my youngest granddaughter is called Alexa and we often call her Lexie. She will be 4 in a couple of weeks.
Time to walk the dog,

Cath xx

Hello everyone.
Marilyn, your grandson looks like he is saying to you, "Nan will you leave it out." bless him, he's at the age where they get so embarrased by us grandparents. A lovely pic though Maz.

I am waiting to hear how my grandaughter has got on in her dance competition, in Blackpool Tower.
She has just gone up from the juniors, into the senior section, and will be dancing against much older people. She is also fourteen Marilyn, but when she has her grease paint on for the comps, she looks at least eighteen.
They seem to grow up to fast these days, dont they.

Hi All,

Forgot to mention my grandson had tomato sauce on his face ,and I was trying to rub it off before anyone else saw it .!! LOL hence looking at me strangely.

Its freezing here, and I have put the fire on, gone back to winter jumper.

Pauline .....My hair is out of the bottle ...LOL

Mo.. Is that what your Granddaughter wants to do when she leaves her schooling days ? I have a niece that danced most of her young life and has ended up in the West End shows.......and loving it.

Nothing much on the telly........going to look and see.

I'm not sure what my grandaughter wants to do when she leaves school Marilyn. She has changed her mind so many times.
But she has been dancing since since was about five years old.
She started doing the team routines, but advanced to latin as soon as she could.
The trouble is getting a male partner. She has trained with another young lady for the past year, and they have received many first placings. But Blackpool has the creme del a creme dancers there.
I heard from my son at about seven thirty, and they had not danced their dance for this evening yet.
I only wish that she could find a male partner, she would have much more success that way.
I am hoping to see her on strictly ballroom one day in the future. Well I can dream can't I.

Morning Linda
you have a busy day a head of you with all you intend to do. you certainly have a lovely day to get your washing dry.
I did my bit of shopping yesterday thought I would pop over to Waitrose as there would not be many people about. ? somehow I think they all knew I was going. it was worse than a normal weekday but I got what I needed.
