Jean,

That is really awful. Poor Max. What the heck has he done to deserve that.

I hope you have informed the Police.

Probably wont catch the scoundrel anyway but at least you will have alerted them in case there are other incidents elsewhere.

Oh Jean I do hope Max will be OK How can anyone do such things to poor innocent animals?
Take care and let us know how he gets on.
Beautiful sunny day but cooped up indoors as still smoky and I believe the woods are still burning. Again done by someone who has nothing better to do, I believe. Still roads closed off and police patrolling. Haven't seen the helicopter today.

Oh my god Jeniwren. Whoever did it must have known of your movements, to know you would not have been around.
I hope they catch the buggers, sorry folks, but thats the only words I can use for them. How can someone do that to a poor defenceless animal.
I hope the vet can help him honey. Stay strong and inform the police of what has happened.
Luv to you my Mora. Mo xxx

Hi Rita
Your son must have been pretty close to me.
He must have said Crowthorne. As it has either been called Crowthorne Woods(locally) or Swinley Woods where there were the first fires on Saturday.

Jean I hope te horse is OK and yourself too as it is a shock to have an animal hurt. Is he the one who pulls your Vardo?

My God Jean .....hope Max will be OK we have two horses in the field behind us and the owner of the next field along side does practice with his gun in his field for when the rabbits are around later when the rape crops has finished , so I was wondering if you have a farmer that is trigger happy Jean ? or maybe a deliberate attack ....How awful for you and the horse .

I have had two lots of visitors today.. One lot this morning and another lot this afternoon........

So me being fed up turned into being not so fed up !! .

Oh my God Jean, I hope Max is alright. What a horrible thing for anyone to do, you must be in a state over it.

Mo, I can think of a lot worse words than the one you used for the person who did it. I hope the police catch the person.......... I won't use any of the words I was thinking.

Marilyn, we've still got the sunshine but we have a cold wind now, I was thinking of putting a coat on today but just put a sweater on instead. I went into Asda wearing my sweater and the woman next to me was wearing a strapless dress, it was practically obscene.

Shelly, you're doing great, if you get the urge to have a fag........ just go on one of those 20 mile runs with Rita.

Nearly forgot to say well done to your granddaughter, Mo, she did really well to get that far on her first adult competition.

Maddie, the cats in your neighbourhood might start to disappear soon, the foxes round here kill the cats. I was always worried about my cat but the foxes ate the duck instead.

I got an email with twin baby boys talking to each other, it's so funny watching them....... I'll send it on.

PatriciaAnn

PatriciaAnn Report 3 May 2011 18:57

Pauline,
I liked the emails especially the one about the blind man.

Stephen2009

Stephen2009 Report 3 May 2011 19:12

Patricia,

'Fluffy Paws' is doing just grand......he attends to my every need. Everyone should have a pet like 'Fluffy Paws'.

Pauline, Maddie,
Foxes don't last long in my neck of the woods.....too many lambs and other livestock at risk. Sad really as I think they are a lovely looking animal and generally only kill because they are hungry.

Jean, Hope the your horse is ok. Let us know when you get a chance.

Had my tea now relaxing a bit......If I relax much more Mrs Stephen will be sending for an Undertaker.

Rita

Rita Report 3 May 2011 19:21

Linda that was the name Crowthorne, he goes all over the place fishing. that is his hobbie he is what they call a match fisherman. cups and medals shield house was full of them. just like his father was.
He fishes twice a year in a lake in France just past Paris. you should see some of the fish he has caught one 61 lb Carp one year he caught around 12 that size. they are not so big in the Lakes around here but he works hard and needs to relax.

Jean I hope Max is going to be OK. I recall a few years ago three horse got shot with pellets in a field not too far from here..

Evening everyone,
a wee bit chilly here but at least the sun came out eventually.
Jean I hope Max will be ok, poor defenceless creature. I can't abide cruelty and wonder what goes on in some peoples heads to make them do a thing like that. There are 4 horses in the field next to us, 2 of them have recently arrived from a sanctuary in the uk. They are looking healthier every day and I often give them an apple or carrot when I take the dog out.
Have got the house to myself for a couple of hours so going to make the most of it and do some research.
Hope you are all well,

Cath xx

Jeniwren Report 3 May 2011 20:02

Hello everyone, thank you for all your kind thoughts for Max.
The vet had to sedate Max to remove the bullet, it wasn't in too deep so he was able to do it, have put Max in his stable, am going to stay with him tonight. the council gardeners were cutting overhanging branches off trees and saw what happened, they said it was 2 lads, about 17/18, they both had rifles. I have told the police, they spoke to the gardeners, and they are pretty certain they know the lads, this is the third incident in the last 5 weeks, so hopefully they will catch them. Max is a very gentle creature, he loves people and will go up to anyone who stops at the gate, he thinks no one will ever hurt him, maybe he will be a bit more choosy in who he goes to now. He is one of my two vardo horses, my other one is his mum, she has the same gentle nature but is a bit wary of strangers.
Well I'm going to make a flask of coffee now and a sandwich, get my blanket and go back to Max.
Thank you again for your kind thoughts.
Hope you all have a peaceful night.
Sweet dreams.
Jean xx

Oh thank goodness Jeniwren. Make sure you take a good blanket to cover yourself tonight, as if your weather is like it is here at the moment, the temperature has dropped, and it's very cold.
I hope that you both get a restful night love. Take care love Mo xxx

Evening Everyone,

Pleased your horse is OK Jean, how awful. Presumably it was kids with nothing better to do. People being cruel to animals really makes my blood boil.

I will not be feeding the foxes. Apparently they all tried to pile into my neighbours kitchen the other morning, and turned a bit nasty [they growled] when they got nothing. She phoned the RSPCA, but as they are wild animals they were not prepared to do anything.

Hope everyone is well.

Stephen, keep moving mate, or they will send for the Undertakers.

If there hungry they will stop at nothing ..... just close your doors while food is being prepared .

Jean.....Oh dear take a thick duvet with you , I would loan you my Electric Blanky ,but I NEED it ..LOL

Where's that Shelly ?????????????
