Linda I am pleased you had a good time in Scotland.now your back to the work and real life Lol.

Agatha
Snettisham. you have brought back some lovely memeories . I cannot wait to go back to Norfolk next month. 5 days I will have to get around a lot in that time. friends are all inviting me to have a meal with them while I am up there.
I hope the weather is nice. I can go for a walk along the clifts, my husband use to spend hours sitting on the clift top with our dog.
when he died I use to go to that spot and talk to him. I felt he was near me.

The sun is out the sky is blue. so it look like it is going to be a nice day.

Rita, I bet you'll be making the firemen a cuppa so you can enjoy their company a bit longer............ have you got some nice chocolate biscuits to give them?

You don't need to know the name of the geranium 'white' is enough to describe it.

I'll be working in the garden today because it's quite mild out there.......... no wind for a change.

I put seeds in my tubs this year instead of plants, they look a bit messy now........ might not do that again.

Nice hat Sally but I did wonder what was sitting on your shoulder. I can see your hand but couldn't make out what was under it.

I saw a couple of people on another thread trying to work out what Pat's photo was.

Marilyn, it's just as well Pete isn't allergic to glue........ I'm allergic to it, can't even put a plaster on a cut.

I had a blood test this week and the nurse put some 'non-allergy' tape on it, and yep......... I'm allergic to that as well. Within half an hour my arm looked like I'd been scalded.

Nice to have you back Linda, sounds like you had a good time.

Stephen get down from that tree, do you want to end up back in hospital?
:-) :-) :-)

Rita

Rita Report 21 May 2011 12:42

Pauline did you cover the seeds with black cover like a rubbish bag. that helps the seeds come through then you take the weaklings out that gives the soil over to the seedlings. I always grew my plants from seed in Norfolk I had an acrea of ground and used to collect the seeds from the plants when they finished flowering and start them off like that I did have a cold greenhouse and a small heated one which I kept my Catus in as they were flowering ones and needed the heat.
Dont worry I will look after the firemen when they come they can stay here until they get a shout Lol.
Pauline I am allergic to sticking plaster the material type not the other only the material ones. it takes the skin off when they take it off and leave a big red mark with little blisters.
I have been sorting out some box files I have three big bags of paper now for shredding.
I found my Aunties Will dated 1968 she left me somethings in her will so I was sent a copy. and I found I had cut some cuttings out of the local newspaper about the funerals it was good as I found listed all those who went to the funeral and it tells they were buried. and their ages.along the side of Aunties was my Uncle Freds as well. my Mums brother in Law and listed was his brothers and sisters.and me.

Mo in Kent Report 21 May 2011 16:04

Hi everyone.
Just back from visiting my son's three children. They were all out cutting the grass, and weeding, guess who got dragged into it, yep me.
I must be allergic to one of the weeds I pulled out, as my hand and lower arm are coming out in a rash, even though I wore rubber gloves most of the time, but my hands ended up all sweaty, so I took them off. Worst thing I could have done by looks of it. Allergy cream is now ladled on by the sppon full.

Good to hear you had a nice time Linda. But it's back into the old routine now my friend, washing, shopping and cleaning. Oh boy what a drag it all is.

Has anyone heard from Maddie lately,as she has been absent for quite a while now. I don't believe she has been on Aunty Motie's thread either. I hope they are both o.k, as we never heard how K got on at the hospital did we.

Hubby back to work tomorrow for two days.
Me with little M just 3 more days then retirement. So one long holiday ahead of me !!!LOL Just need to get myself organised with all I would like to do.
Scotland was beautiful, we saw all four seasons often in one day. I have some wonderful memories now and photos and diary too.
Be back later
I hope Maddie and hubby are OK too as I saw he had knee problems.

Hi Linda,
Glad you had a nice holiday.
I'vr hada nice afternoon. I've been watching Miss Marple on the Yesterday channel. It was Joan Hickson who played Miss Marple. She's the best Miss Marple as far as I'm concerned.
I hope your arms get better soon Mo. Shame you didn;t give the gloves on.
Gardening isn't my thing

I deslt with all my paper work this morning. and then got rid of alot of paperwork from my box files.
I sat watching two DVD this afternoon "Hobsons Choice " John Mills one of my favourite B/W" Movies.
Then I watched "The American President " with Michael Douglas.
there was not a thing on TV I wanted to watch.
It is about time the TV Authorties sorted out some decent films and drama.s for people to see at weekends. if your into sport your get a choice if your not you get zero.

The films are so old they constantly repeat the same films within a month sometimes within two weeks. I like alot of the old films but not every day
shame there not on tape they might snap if they were. and good riddence to them.

Linda.. Did you visit the Ptarmigan on Cairngorm ? The Cairngorm Funicular caused a major row for years with the environmentalists. That whole area is where I did a lot of Winter Mountaineering. Lovely.
The Rail trips you did are through some really magic countryside. The prip tp Mallaig from Fort William is particularly nice. I have done a lot of sailing off the coast there. Mallaig is a bit of a dump......but it is a hard working fishing port.....can't have both.
My friend Tom McLean lives in Morar.....you know....... the guy who came on our Commonwealth Games trip with Team GR Friendly. Ex SAS and as daft as a brush. {Just like me} Glad you had a good time. Do return.

Rita......I don't watch a lot of telly but do get peeeedddd off by the amount of repeats that are on at times when I want to relax. I don't have SKY or any other Channels like that and I don't have any DVDs of my own. I get into a good non-fiction book.

Ah well better start getting the tea ready, my belly thinks my throats been cut. :-) :-) :-)

And just for the TV Channels :P :P :P :P :P :P

I've been to Mallaig :-) in 2002 I went on a coach holiday in Fort William. I nearly had a fit when I realised how far up the country it was. One of the trips I went on was a trip To Mallaig where we got the ferry to the Isle of Skye and then we came back across the new bridge there.
