Morning all. Oh boy I wish I had stayed in bed today. To start with, I knocked a whole cup of tea, over the lounge carpet. That meant getting down on my hands and knees, to clean it after mopping it up. Then washing the kitchen floor, the bucket nearly went over, and soaked my feet in the process. Oh how I wish I had got out of bed on the other side, perhaps then my day would have started off better.
Stephen, can you start a Zumba class for us please. I would love to have a go at it. But if I flake out on the fllor, just leave me laying there till I get my breathe back please. :-)
Maddie don't work to hard today love, you must be worn out after doing all the ironing before going out.
Well done on the knitting Linda. I have never tackled making a dress before. But I used to make the little pleated type skirts and jumpers for my girls when they were young.
Where has Shelly got to, she has been very quiet for days now.
Just going to get my bath, before we go out for a while.

Agatha, Zumba is a dance, aerobics, fitness program, done to Latin Rhythms. It looks very energetic, and I should imagine you would, dare I say it, sweat yourself thin. Was there many people at the caravan site yesterday.
Stephen, I can Cha Cha Cha, but have never done the Rumba. I tried the Pasa Doble' (sp), but kept falling over the cape.lol But I lurve the Latin moves, they are very sexy.
Rain glorious rain, thats what we have at the moment. I went and checked all the pots of plants in the garden, and the flowers were shouting hooray it's bath time. We so badly need rain here in the South East, the poor Farmers are getting desperately worried about their crops. And we all know what that will mean, yes a rise in the costs of all farm produce.

Its a private caravan site Mo, where everyone owns them so its never that busy, its a lovely spot though, I shall miss it when we move to the sea side, but its no good keeping it and living by the sea. Zumba sounds fun, might be a bit much for me though. We get something called fenland dust here, it blows across the fields when it doesn't rain, and always gets on the local news as it covers everything, so we like it when it rains.

Agatha when are you moving and what sea side are you going too ? it is raining here as well we did need it. My best friend from Norfolk phoned this afternoon wondering where I was ? I said here at home otherwise you would not have me answer the phone. she said I thought you were coming up here ? I told her not till next sunday unless something untoward happens? they have had no rain where she lives the ground is brown and all the grass is withering and dying off,. she prayed for rain. I said thanks I want a dry week not a wet one. My nephew flys back to America tomorrow to Washington I thought it was today. he came back from France with a really rotten cold. The chemist has given him something for it. I watch "Goodnight Mr Thom " this afternoon The times I have seen that I know it word to word. but still like watching it.
I am going to have a cheese sandwich now I want to watch " The Royal " that is back on tonight on ITV1.

Cor you was lucky Agatha, getting those books for 20p each, you will make Pat and I jealous, as we both love our books.
Talking of cheese sandwhiches, I took a plate of them with us to the club at lunch time. We all take food of some kind or another with us, so that we can have a little munch till it's time to come home and do our dinners. I also took some M+S cheese straws, they are lovely, has anyone tried them.

Gratefully accepts mallet from Marilyn ;-) My Grandfather vanished after deserting my Grandmother and I can't find him anywhere. I have been told he died sometime in the 60's but who knows where? I don't think he was very popular unfortunately and nobody within the family has told me anything. I did contact a couple of people who had his father in their trees on here but they don't have him in it. One lady got a bit shirty about it :-0 I know I've got the right parents for him now after a false lead last year and he is on the 1911 census as their son but it would seem nobody wants him in their tree.

Helloooooooooooooooooo.
Blimey what a day. I think people know something I dont. It was heaving today. Some people obviously have got a lot of dosh and dont mind splashing it.
Marilyn, I have to do my ironing early, otherwise it wont be dont. Some people are Larks [early risers] others are Owls [later mornings, good in the evenings] guess what? I am a Lark, K is an Owl. Knees still very painful I am afraid to say.
I know how you feel about tiptoeing around some folks Cath. I exchanged trees with someone, and she wrote me a very short letter after, asking why I wanted sight of HER family. lol ;-)
I dunno you really find some strange things when you start researching dont you? I knew I had one black sheep when I started, but I have uncovered a whole flock. :-D
I'm gonna crash out soon, and sit and watch zombie tv. I dont enjoy The Royal, but am looking forward to the new programme on BBC1 at 9pm. I think it is Jason Isaacs, with Phil Davies. Who incidentally starred together last year in a programme about Steptoe and Son. Isaacs was Harry H. Corbett and Davies was Wilfred Brambell. I enjoyed that, so hope this acting will be equally good in this new prog.
Pouring with rain tonight. I will love ya and leave ya.
Night All. Zumba-ing all the way.
Maddie

I thought "The Royal " was good this evening made a change to see something new on the TV.instead of a repeat .Agatha I have friend who live in Linconshire John and Dot live Kirton Boston Lincs I have known John since he was born. I use to baby sit him when his mother had to go out. They moved there as his wife Dot was having trouble walking and so they moved into a Bungalow. about 6 years ago. we have a centre near here for senior citzens they do meals and have Bingo and go on outings they also have a hair dressers and foot clinic among other things, they have five shelves of books many new and most are hard back they have a box and you put twenty pence for each book you take away.when I go there I usually buy £1 and when I have read them I take them into our laundryroom for people to take and read. I started that up when I moved here 8 years ago as many cannot get out. it is well used.
Marilyn I have written to the DFHS about my missing Absalom hoping one of the new members may know some thing ? I only hope they put it in the next addition. I am waiting for my Willesden Family History one to come as it has an article written by my sister about the road we were born in. I helped her with some of the details but she did all the rest.she did a wonderful write up. about Meyrick Road.
Time for a cuppa now and get back to my book.

Evening All !
Don't need to water any Hanging Baskets etc tonight.......it's raining.
Knackered after doing my Zumba exercises ( Aye Right ) :-P :-P :-P :-P :-P :-P :-P :-P :-P :-P :-P
Exercise is useless......do you know how many fit people die ;-) ;-) ;-) ;-) ;-) ;-)
I laugh when i see so many joggers with a real 'PAINED LOOK' on their faces.
Exercise is meant to be enjoyed and be fun. So many put themselves through hell and don't enjoy what they are doing.
The get fit and then die of STRESS. :-S :-S :-S :-S :-S

Hi everyone, I haven't been exercising or any of that rubbish! :-D I counted the church's collection this evening and I've been reading. I'm reading the last book of Dance to The Music of Time and then I want to read the rest of my Vampire books. I'm going to donate them to the church Garden fete which is the 25th June so I'll be busy. Bargain Agatha!. I started to imagine all the books I could buy if i'd won the 1st prize in the Grand Draw.£250 :-D :-D :-D :-D :-D

Lol, Maddie. I'm starting to think he was a black sheep, but even so I do want to find out why. My own Father never knew him as he left my Gran when dad was only a toddler. I have hit so many brickwalls lately it's getting depressing :-( I have found a possible death for him and also a marriage which might be him but don't want to order certs till I've got to as it's getting expensive to end up with the wrong ones. I'm determined to find him though so may have to fork out. I don't even know what he looked like as their are no photos within the family and nobody left alive to ask. Pat my youngest daughter loves vampire stories and films, don't know where she gets it from, lol. Night to everyone, sleep well,

Cath,
I've hit so many 'Brick Walls' and spent so much money.....I could have built a house with the bricks :-( :-( :-( :-( :-( :-( :-( :-( :-(
It gets frustrating but I leave it a wee while and then return refreshed......if you're gonna hit a Brick wall best to be refreshed :-0 :-0 :-0 :-0 :-0
Like many folks doing their Family History we find it's too late to ask the questions, the answers are now buried in the ground or gone up in smoke.
I'm determined to leave my family as much information as I can.
