Afternoon everyone
Well down for the flu jab at 8:30 this morning all done and dusted.
Then into town to pay a couple of bills. Also got some cards, specials for special birthdays and an engagement. So should have that lot sorthed til the end of the year. Unless anyone has a baby, gets engaged or married...... you never know!!
Been out in the garden reading then had lunch.

Glourious day again.

I was watching The Frost- Nixon thing on BBC2. Quite interested in Watergate. I remember reading the book and seeing the film. Going to bed now to read and lsiten to radio 4.

Off to see our youngest this morning. Then into a neighbours for drinks and snacks.
Helped a friend with her tree yesterday, she only started a month ago. Managed to find 3 more census, a possible birth and a marriage so not bad.

I suppose I could try do some Office work, my admin has got a bit behind because I can't really see very well and everything takes three times longer to do.

Yesterday I had to connect wires together using very small terminals......I got two of the wires mixed up because of my poor sight just now and had to re-do the thing.....I was furious with myself. :-| :-| :-| :-| :-| :-| :-| :-| :-|

It was safe enough......it was a part for a vehicle....a Lambda Sensor.....it measures the Gas mixture in the exhaust system and adjust the fuel mixture accordingly. I noticed the error almost as soon as I had done it.
CLEAN WINDOWS !!!!!!!! The amount of heavy rain we get the windows self clean ;-) ;-) ;-) ;-) ;-) ;-) ;-) ;-) ;-) ;-) ;-) ;-) ;-) ;-)

Yeah, I know what you mean about the rain, Stephen, it's still raining here as well. Our window cleaner sits in his car waiting for the rain to have a break, then he jumps out, cleans the windows, gets paid and then drives away quickly before the rain starts again.

Been doing extra hours at work, we had people coming in asking for paddling pools yesterday!!! got a few out of the warehouse that had been packed away. The shop is setting up for Christmas so all the summer stuff had been put away till next year

Pauline, hubby didn't want a big do. But there was a presentation of a collection made for him and a small speech. Then after his mates finished their day at 2:30 and he had handed in all his passes and uniform and phone they mey up at a pub near Heathrow. He bought all those there a drink. And that will pretty much be it as so many live away from the airport and travel each day. He won't be able to go into work to meet up beacause of security. But he does have a few guys who are friends who live close to us , so he will keep in touch.
Today we went to neighbours and they gave him a nice card and we had some champagneto celebrate, the lady made a nice lunch too, just a few nibbles she said.

Hello All,

its 1-45am and I'm up !! I had a telephone call from my Step mother about my dad .....he had an ear infection and could'nt sleep so I had to take him to the hospital doctor, he gave him some antibiotics & pain killers . They were very good .......the A&E had a waiting time of 3-4hrs......but it was suggested to me by the receptionist to go to another part of the hospital where there was a doctor on duty, so how lucky was that !! I don't think my Dad could stay up that long. nor me LOL

So I'm here with Pete having a cuppa as we cant sleep now :-S

Pauline ...today it was my friends for lunch....6 of them but it was such a lovely day we sat in the garden and ate & drank ..loads.
